Why does saying "I love you" have to have so many romantic connotations? There are so many people I love in a way seperate from anything romantic. <3

A thing that will die after eating rat poison
But really, a guy that likes to RP. Not too keen on sharing personal info in my bio, but after I get to know you, I may open up a bit more in regards to certain things.
I have been roleplaying for most of my life, but forum RP is newer to me than tabletop. I wanted something to do to kill time without putting wayyyy too many hours into Dark Souls 3.
I love music, historical fencing and re enactment, making shit, and just being cool with people. Talk any of these things with me, and you'll be cool with me. I have very strong thoughts on sandwiches. Ask if you dare.
Here's a list of cool people from this site that are just cool people that I enjoy talking with, and a quote from each of them. In no particular order, here they are:
Sexual violence doesn't start and end with rape, It starts in our books and behind our school gates. Men are scared women will laugh in their face, whereas women are scared it's their lives men will take. Mother! Fucker!
Avenue was running bandages to a chirurgeon when he was interrupted by one of the uninjured men, who was waving a wooden necklace in his face. "Avenue! Sir! Prophet! We found this on that there Gorilla, what mean?", he said. Avenue took the necklace to appraise it: it was a thing of beauty, the teeth adding malice to the ruggedness of the wood. "Clearly this was- this was sent by Hope herself. Scope, please go and- go and- go and prepare a ritual ground. We will examine this with the aid of Hope after all this," he gestured to the scene, "-has been- has been dealt with," he said. He walked over to the rest of the carcasses to see what else has been found, and Key was right behind him. This was irritating him beyond words could express, so before she could react, Avenue snapped around, causing her to crash into him and stumble back a bit. "Key. Key, Key, Key, Key, Key, Key, Key, Key, Key, Key. Quit following- following me. Make yourself useful- useful and go help the healers out," he said, pushing the bandage he was still holding into her hand and shooing her away like a fly.
Avenue resumed his previous duty, looking over the rest of the apes. Nothing else seemed to be amiss, so Avenue ordered their heads cut off and mounted on spikes, with the eyes of the one wearing the necklace gouged. They were to have bones put in their mouth, and fur on the top of the mouth removed.
All that done, and the chirurgeons still needed help, so Avenue went to Tum Tum to see if there was anything he could do. "Yes. You can get Key to actually help," Tum Tum pointed at the woman, who was shuffling along, and turned to glare at Avenue. "All she's done since you sent her over is shuffle around like that," he said. Avenue noticed that his hand was twitching. Well that's interesting, thought Avenue. Raising his voice to a shout so the whole clearing could hear, he said "My Devout! A great victory- terrible victory we have won. Some of us have fallen- have fallen, but you all know how Hope wants us- wants us to react to this. Unflinchingly. Unflinchingly. Let's remember our fallen with a fight- a fight." He raised his arms to the air, humming. Other voices joined his, until a dissonant chorus frightened the birds off, going on just long enough to make any onlooker uncomfortable. Opening his eyes, Avenue gestured for silence. "The combatants will be- will be Tum Tum and Key. Tum Tum has the favour of Hope," he declared, giving Tum Tum the iron.
A roughly ring shaped space was cleared on the ground around Key, which Tum Tum approached. Key was still nursing her bit finger, while Tum Tum was but a little bit tired and had a weapon in hand.
The Infinite Maze is a middling far celestial sphere with ludicrously thin borders. As no surprise to anyone, it is maze as far as the eye can see. The walls constantly shift, puzzle locks, riddlekeepers, false tiles, steel knots, and other strange beings exist in here, ready to block your way. Once you go in, you cannot go out unless Eurysthenes wishes it to be so. Above the maze looms a thousand and more deep blue eyes that make up the sky. Lucky you would be to see them all at once, however. The walls of the maze are so mightily high that even if you climbed for seven years, you wouldn't see the outside. At the ever shifting, entropic crux of the maze resides the God of riddles themself, Eurysthenes.
The effect on Galbar is apparent in how it muddles minds and twists tongues. When somebody becomes confused or otherwise has a lapse, The Infinite Maze could be to blame. As a more physical manifestation, it contorts the nearby landscape to appear Mazelike in structure: stone becomes engraved, trees grow at odd angles, birds ask you riddles.
The Maze itself holds little to no danger. When inside, one would be hard pressed to die by the hand of anyone. Thirst is far more likely to take its toll before any form of physical punishment, and even then its not like water cannot be found within the Maze. Those inside do not age physically, allowing them to roam as long as they like.
Due to the entangling nature of the Maze, it tends to go everywhere in the Celestial layer. It maintains connections with the following spheres: ●The World Tree: The natural connection takes the form of a gross mangrove swamp, where getting lost is inevitable. ●The Lustrous Garden: This connection is a series of mazelike sky bridges descending to the start of the maze proper. ●So'E: Whenever somebody walks too far from the manor in this sphere, the become shrouded in a thick fog. Going further causes one to find the edge of the maze as it pops up around them. ●The Blue: The Temples in the Blue that are closer to the Maze become influenced by its presence, transforming into traps, twisting and forming and snaring. Soon enough, one will find themselves trapped in the maze. ●The Sky of Pyres: A one way connection from the maze to the sky serves as the only real lethal punishment in the maze. If you take a wrong turn, the walls turn to fire, and shortly after, the eyes in the sky become distant bonfires. You are now in the Sky of Pyres, and you will be burned. ●The Observatory: Where the Maze nears Abanoc's domain, the walls become translucent, and the eyes begin to change colour. Within the walls are stars, and the eyes are copies of Abanoc's, which is telling of the fact that he can see through them. Soon enough, if you continue towards the observatory, you'll find yourself free of the maze, in Abanoc's domain. ●The Great Dark: In one hallway in the maze you may find yourself walking down and straight for a while. The hallway seems to go forever, and eventually you feel your boots becoming soaked. Hours and hours and months later, a pitch black wall of water is reached. This is the entry to The Great Dark.
Portfolio: Slippery as a fish, more passive than a craven, harder than metal. Real as a wish, as loving as a haven, testing your mettle
Eurysthenes is the God of Puzzles and that which is is puzzling. This may not sound particularly impressive, but you'd be mistaken. Often, puzzles are thought of only in relation to leisure and health. Thinking of them like this is narrow, as puzzles can arise anywhere there is something to solve. New discoveries are puzzles of sorts, especially when related to sciences. Thinking your way out of a difficult position is solving a puzzle. Even something as mundane as a weekly budget is a puzzle of sorts. Legal contracts, paradoxes, locks, mazes, riddles, strange entropic magics, philosophy, and certain madnesses are all examples of puzzles in one form or another. Any and all of these are Eurysthenes' domain.
Persona: By and large, Eurysthenes is a jokester who just wants to make things for others to work out. They love nothing more than the look of confusion turning to that of delight when one of their contraptions are solved. Others might see them as annoying at worst. They want nothing to do with violence, not because it's blunt and uncivil, but simply because they have no aptitude for it. All this being said, were there ever any real threat, Eurysthenes would not hesitate to lend aid to other gods in any way they can. Usually, this would include elaborate cages to escape from, and locks that can only be solved by careful thought. Should they engage a threatening party in conversation, they would lay small conversational traps that may lead the unassuming to accidentally reveal weaknesses, or even allow Eurysthenes control over them. To their followers, Eurysthenes is as kind as possible, while still maintaining punishment for those who do wrong by them. Generally speaking, they will give more than they take where possible. However, this does not mean that they would be taken advantage of. Should they spy this happening, it would be met with swift and unending purgatory within The Infinite Maze. Among other gods, they are kind and civil, though somewhat quiet in larger groups. Where they really thrive is one on one, where they become very animated and eager. They don't discriminate their company, either. They'd just as soon spend time with Narzhak as they would Aelius, so long as Eurysthenes gained something. Even if that something is just a good time.
Appearance/Form: Somewhat appropriately, Eurysthenes has taken the form of one large, multi piece, three dimensional puzzle. They may rearrange the pieces as they see fit to create different images, but may never change the number of pieces, or send pieces away from themself. Most commonly, they project themself as a tall, skinny humanoid with seven arms and wide hips. Their 'skin' is commonly found to be a deep blue, with hints of purple, red, and green. They appear well maintained and untouched by war, keeping hair, nails, and face well kept and clean.
Avenue stared Sparrow in the eye as she spoke her bold words. "Hope has more hands here. These lands belong to- belong to Hope." was all he said. He scraped his iron on the ground a little, and looked softly at it. He opened his mouth to say something else, but Tum Tum had just told him of how pyrrhic their victory was. He regarded the cluster of people gazing curiously at their wounds, then said "Heal them all, they're not- not cowering.". He swayed over to Sparrow, set himself on the other side of the gorilla from her, crouched, and breathed in deep. He licked his lips, and allowed his mouth to go ajar. "Stop stealing my fuck-ing food or we may just find some real use for you.", he spat. His breath would make you gag.
He walked over to Key, who he kicked in the side. He helped her to her feet, then walked her inside the large sandstone chapel, sitting her on a fur under a boarded up window that used to have stained glass in it. "We know you want Hope to enter- enter this world, Key. So stop- stop," he paused, blinking hard, "whining about it, and do it yourself. Anyway, today will see a good many- many of us grow stronger. Stronger. A lot stronger," he said. He walked outside to the wounded, and helped the chirurgeons distribute poultices and bandages. He specialised in inflicting harm, not treating it, so he took the backseat when medical attention was needed.
@Dinh AaronMk I find that a lot of people completely miss giving their character any real drive unless told to, though. The exception is good RPers, of course. Plus giving it a section drives the point home, and it only needs to be one word, so you're not overcrowding anything.
I fully agree with you on everything else though. Less is more
