Firstly, this is mostly based on an indie game also called Kenshi which is a neat little strategy RPG, though it's definitely still in development, but check it out if you want.

It's been a long time since the climate of the world shifted and left it dry and barren, filled with near endless deserts. Gangs of bandits roam the sands looking for merchants to steal from and cannibal tribes attack unsuspecting travelers and drag them back to their camps and imprison them to eat later. The United Cities and the Holy Empire are in a sort of cold war, but both seem ready to attack at a moments notice. The ruins of the old world still exist, and the technological marvels of the past may still work. The desert is an unforgiving place, but people still persevere. Multiple factions have sprung up across the world, including the two big players the United Cities, a somewhat authoritarian government, and the Holy Empire, imperialists following the will of their gods. A third large (though not as large as the UC and HE) faction known as the Dead Cat's exist, trying to avoid the conflict and just go on with life. Multiple bandit gangs and clans exist, including the Sand Ninjas, the Blood Dragons and Blackjacks along with small groups of unaffiliated bandits. Other organizations that owe no allegiance to any faction exist, such as the three guilds (the Adventurers, the Medics, and the Merchants) and the Bounty Hunters who do exactly what it says on the tin. Not to mention that some of the wildlife can be quite hostile

The RP will follow the adventures of our little group as we make a name for ourselves in the deserts. It will be a free form ordeal, though there are things happening that the group can involve themselves in including the possible war between the Holy Empire and the United Cities or exploring the ruins from before the apocalypse. The technology level isn't particularly advanced, and the weapons of choice are swords and crossbows along with hammers and harpoon guns. Magic may or may not exist, but it definitely isn't a common thing though there are races other than humans (they won't be the usual fantasy fare like elves and dwarves, but I do need help coming up with other races... Possibly something like Gnolls, or a demon/oni like something). The RP has some medieval Japanese influence (and a bit of medival Europe), so you'll see katanas, samurai, ninja, and the like.

So does this sound like something anyone would be interested in? If you have any ideas, for races, factions, towns, anything, please share them.

Edit: Just reposted this from General since we can't move threads yet.

Radical; this thing is getting some interest. As a gift, follow . <Crosses fingers and bites lip in anticipation>

Handy! I'm not sure where my Cyberpunk books are at the moment, but I think I might have an idea... I feel like Gibson would be mad at me for putting "real" cyberpunk with my Shadowrun stuff.
Welcome back!
And... Jasonhero? He had a cubone for an avatar, right? I haven't seen him around, but according to the user list he is registered. And am I correct that I was also in an RP with you? Your name looks familiar.
I just wanted to get this thread moved from the General Interest Check forum to the Casual Interest Check forum

I couldn't have said it better.
It's now time that I make a futile attempt to become part of the community rather than just some guy who roleplays here. So, uh... I heard I had to bring a latte? Also heyo LoneSilverWolf.

Edit: Oh, I meant to post this in the Casual interest check. How does one ask for a post to be moved?
Edit Dos: And, I've found it!
A Dark Souls style dealio would be awesome! I picked up the game during Steam's winter sale, but I can't say I'm all that familiar with the lore beyond "you're dead go die more" so I'll make sure to do some reading before hand.
AHHHHHHHH IT'S HAPPENING
*ahem*
So, uh, hi again. I guess Roleplayer Guild is up again. Uh. Yeah. Heyo, again, not that I expect anybody to know/remember me. But yeah, welcome back everyone else who came back I guess. Wow, I'm terrible at this.
