Mason's expression shifted to surprise, what the hell did that mean 'dying soul'? He was already dead, he couldn't die again could he? He noticed her chuckle, causing him to narrow his eyes in annoyance and anger. "What you think that's funny huh?" He said, taking hand off of the exposed, bubbling, oozing, and bloody wound. Her retort and her grin made him scoff, balling of his fist, causing his wound to burn a little more. "That's none of your concern, is it, demon?" He asked, being cautious, he had been attacked by one, why would he trust another? As the pain got more unbearable, he couldn't help but grunt in pain, his arm slightly shaking in pain.

As Mina passed a rocky area on her winged beast, she picked up on a faint energy nearby. She stopped her creature in mid-air and looked around, trying to pick up on the energy's precise location, but the area was too full of different energy patterns for her to get a precise lock. With an annoyed growl she lowered her beast to the ground and ordered it to stay in it's spot before she walked towards the rocky area she passed over. First thing she noticed as she moved closer to the area was a dead demon, a Ghoul-type to be precise. They were vile creatures, tricksters with no mind. They remembered certain parts of human life and used it to get close to souls stupid enough to listen. Most were repulsive enough to keep souls at a distance, but some were dumb enough to get closer. It seemed the soul that did this was smart enough not to fall for this disgusting creature, a good sign. She spotted a trail of blood and footprints leading towards the rocks and walked towards it. If the soul was hit by the ghoul's attack it wouldn't be very happy. It's wound would fester and rot until he died or was cured, a painful death to say the least. She approached the rocks and spotted a cave the soul had most likely hidden in, walking up to it casually.

Mason held his shoulder, it was flaming hot or some reason now, likely it was infected, that wasn't good, especially here. "Come on, I have to have something.." He said to himself quietly, scanning his pockets for any spare chemlights. Once finding one he snapped it, the stick's artificial bio luminescence lit up the cave easily. He had only a few feet of sight but he could see better regardless, he stopped when he heard something enter the cave, likely another hell-spawn ready to try killing him. Shining his light, he saw a feminine figure, he wasn't sure what to think of this, he smirked a little, clutching his shoulder. The stinging pain shot through him, residing mostly in the points the creature contacted, he couldn't show he was hurt, refusing to hint it as he faced the silhouetted female. "Let me guess, you need assistance as well?" He asked, his expression suggested he'd be less than willing to help but that was farther from the truth. He watched and waited for a movement or response from the apparent female.
Kayz ^^

Keep in mind, he's in a cave, in my post after yours I'll have him use his kemlight to find her

demon face bashing
Hello everyone
Mason rose in the pit of fire, living again, but far from being truly alive. Taking a second to get his bearing, he scanned the area before looking down at his hands in awe. "So, this is hell..." He remarked, looking at the cracking and scorching landscape before him, looking up he saw nothing but downward facing spikes. "Maybe I can bring some honor to our name down here.." He said quietly, placing a hand on his father's dog tags, he wasn't trying to waste time dwelling on afterlife. The young soldier made his way through the isle of damned souls, climbing over hills and crossing pits of flame. "This isn't my usual walk in the park..." He said to himself, placing his hand on a rock face as he caught his breath, inhaling the humid air.

Off in the distance, Mason could see two figures gaining on him, he made out a humanoid shape but the body's natural was all off. He could see that the skin was dirt stained, whoever it was must have frozen to death by the way their complexion was. The figure looked wounded, limping toward him, he could faintly hear it saying something. It was a male, his clothes tattered and ripped, blood and dirt smeared on his body, the source of blood coming from two wounds in his shoulder, each one oozing dark, tar colored blood. The closer the strange male got, the more uncomfortable Mason had gotten, subconsciously reaching for his handgun only to realize he didn't have it. He walked in an arc across the arid plains, seeing the stranger take the same course unnerved him. "Excuse me, I require assistance..." A shrill voice spoke, Mason immediately turned around, back away from the reaching grotesque, clawed hand of the male. Mason's backing up seemed to offend the male, within the same instant he leapt toward him, sinking his sharp teeth into the soldier's arm. Claws dug into his shoulder blades, carving deep into his flesh. Even if he did survive this he'd fear that blood loss or poisoning would kill him now. "Get off of me!" He shouted, struggling to get the thing off of him. He could do one or two things, risk tearing its head away or do things his way. "Fuck it..." Mason said under a pained breath, bringing his left fist into the kidney of the attacker, then his right into the man's side in successful combination. Over and over he kept fighting, striking at the ribs and kidneys, the moment the man let go Mason was mortified. Realization hit harder than it ever should have, that man wasn't a man, he was far less than that, a pure native to hell, a demon.

Mason's look of horror and shock shifted one of malice, his shoulder wound oozed and bubbled slightly, like it was having a bad reaction with his body, his was in immense pain but could think of nothing more than to kill his enemy. A powerful front kick to the chest pushed the hell-spawn back, allowing Mason to advance, following up with a right cross and a haymaker, ducking down and sweeping the demon off its feet, his hands wrapped tight around its legs before slamming the creature down with all his strength. Standing over the dazed being, Mason drove his knee into its chest, he began throwing hammerfist strikes repeatedly, throwing in jabs and elbow strikes, bloodying the demon even more than it already had been. He wasn't going to stop, not until this demon was dead, about fifteen minutes into the pummeling, the demon collapsed, possibly from death. "Well, that's over..." He huffed, the pool of blood made that obvious, he continued to go about his business, walking toward the small inlet of a cavern. "No light, great..." He said to himself, looking at the black void, who knew what was in there, no matter what it was, he'd fight as hard as he could against it.
