Stry, keep in mind those were character thoughts and actions, even if Mason is actually being an asshole... Also, think, maybe Dash's character doesn't like the ranking system, or upon death doesn't give it any credit seeing as the ones who gave that rank are either in heaven/on earth and thus, nowhere nearby, or they're in Hell like you, and thus their judgement could be quite poor... As for Mason seeing more... I believe that he's seen more than Seth... But I WON'T believe that he's better... Natural talent can far exceed a bit more experience... And so, in my mind, everyone's equal save those specifically meant to be OP, such as the daughter or satan (I will admit, the sword makes him stronger if he uses it, but in a one-on-one fight between Seth and Mason, without enhanced anything, I'd leave it up to pure RPing to decide the winner, not rank)

You just always have to drab the OP card in somehow. You think experience doesn't outweigh anything? You obviously haven't see a drill sergeant then. I'm say what sense would it be for his character to hate a ranking systems that HE thought was okay enough to join the service? I'm not saying rank instantly decided the winner am I? I said that it should matter for Dash's character, it only makes sense. Also, you've constantly been up my ass about the OP thing, I haven't even begun to do anything that would set off a signal like that. I'd leave the fight up to RPing too. So far there haven't been any in fights besides verbal. I strongly doubt Seth would win just by putting all of the training he's had in comparison to the training Mason has had.
He isn't an asshole(well he has to be, he's an NCO), he's just treating this situation like being downrange(deployed) because essentially having a serious straightforward attitude is needed. If Seth really is a soldier and from what it seems, probably just a Specialist then he should be listening to Mason. Whether he likes it or not, he's the guy that'll make sure he doesn't die, he even tried being nice to him in the beginning o.O, he just blew him off like an asshole. But what I'm getting at is, be logical Dash. Respect the rank, you don't have to respect the man behind it, but respect it.

By the way rusty, Mason is better on account of his training and battle experience, he's seen more than Seth by far.
"Made the right people happy?! What does that mean? Oh, don't tell me you're one of those soldiers, well I have news for you asshole. Not all of us are kill happy soldiers, most of us do what we need to for our country. Selfish bastard.." He said as he shook his head, soldiers like Seth were a dime a dozen. "No but I'll tell you one thing, if you don't get that spear out of my fucking face, it's going through you..." He glared, Mason had a look that just said 'get out of my face' he was happy when he did though. Mason did a quick heel turn when he heard the soldier's "order" for him. "Again, I don't know who you think you are but in case you didn't know, you lived a soldier and you die a soldier, recognize your chain of command." Mason said, calming himself down a little bit, entering the house himself, he wasn't worried about being followed by members of the group.

Seth walked with the group seeing as no one complained about him being there listening into some of the conversations but not picking up any important details from them. He continued to walk on his own at the back of the group keeping to himself mostly but, Seth also found it the best place to watch if they were being followed, which thankfully they were not for now. When they arrived at the house Seth looked worried his instincts told them to stay away from the house but it seemed the ex-soldier had already made the decision for the group to explore the house which made him speak up "This is a stupid idea, we don't know who or what is in there and it will be harder to tell if something is sneaking up behind us!" Seth spoke while walking up to Mason as if to challenge him.

Mason turned around, stepping out of the doorway in the house it looked like the 'new boot' was challenging him. "Excuse you? Aren't you a soldier, yes? Well then get in the fucking PRONE and PULL SOME FUCKING SECURITY!!" Mason yelled, grilling the soldier, the fact that this kid was even attempting to challenge any kind of Sergeant, let alone a Staff Sergeant was stupid. "Everyone else who doesn't want to go inside, set up a 360 security around this place, we'll need eyes on at all times." He said, ordering the group.

koran examined the creature that stood before them, a creature seeming of hellish origin, he looked down to his hand, seeing that it had not changed back when the rest of his arm did... odd."alright , lets all get a move on, were just fish in a barrel if we stay here."he turned to mason." if we can agree to not kill eachother, and you not hurt anyone in the group, including kria, then ill make you second in command, in case i die in battle, for it may take some time to catch up if i do."for quite some time after walking, they reach what looks like a house, or what cpuld be considered a house, in hell. he turned to mason. "was this here before?"

Mason continue to lead the group through passageways and trails he had gone through previously, the soldier found it effortless to maneuver through the familiar terrain. Mason spun around after hearing what Koran had to say, he scoffed, this wasn't a squad and he was no one's team leader, Koran had no idea what it was to be one anyway. "You'll make me?" He said in question, emphasizing what he had just said, did Koran really believe he led these people? "Whatever....a self elected leader is probably what'll get them killed though.." He said, making a remark about Koran. He stopped once he saw the strange house, he didn't see that when he came her, what was this? "No, let's see who's home..." He said walking his way toward the door, he fought he soldier's instinct to stack up on the door, instead he took a single backstep them kicked forward, his boot slamming into the door and knocking it off its hinges. "Move in..." He said to them as he stepped inside.
Gonna have Mason lead the group to a gate
Gonna try and post tonight, work is sketchy so yah, try
Mason turned around to the group, looking toward Jerus with an emotionless expression. "We're getting away from here, I already scouted out a passageway, it's safe. Let's get going before that changes for us." He said, his attitude changing completely as he was tasked with being a leader, or at least a navigator. He began walking his way toward the canyon he had previously went in a while ago. "Exercise extreme caution.." He said to them all, slowly he walked down into the canyon, motioning for the others to follow him.
