Character Sheet:
Name: Batu
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Class: Wyvern Rider
Home country: Ferox
Appearance:
He also wears leather lamellar armour in his chest with similar lamellar shielding for his arms and legs.
Personality: Batu, as a steppe nomad has poor social skills though he can interact enough to trade in settlements. His social skills are surprisingly better with animals due to his expertise in hunting. Though as a nomad he is expected to be able to survive harsh terrain, he has the most difficulty in hot deserts. As a hunter, he is patient and is accepting of short-comings. Due to varying or no beliefs at all in Ferox, he is also tolerant to various faiths.
Biography/history: Batu was born and raised on the saddle to a tribe of wyvern-riding Feroxi steppe nomads, believed to be migrants from either Valm or Plegia by how wyvern riders are rare in Ferox. As a child he was taught the skills needed to survive the steppes of Ferox, such as hunting, fishing and of course, wyvern riding. He learned to master riding his wyvern and named him Tengri.
Batu’s father was poisoned by a rival tribe and his own tribe left his family for dead, losing their leader. Forced to live in poverty and the slow eventual death of the rest of his family from starvation and disease he began wandering and surviving in the steppes alone with Tengri. He and his loyal mount survived through luck or constant consumption of decaying animal carcasses.
He was also one of the very few Feroxi wyvern nomads to interact directly with settlements, doing so after he came of age. He sold his hunting game in exchange for weapons and food he can’t obtain, pragmatic with what he can make himself and not. Occasionally he took mercenary work but found hunting and selling game a better job for himself.
