Elizabeth C. James
22
Elizabeth C. James was once a girl of high society, so back then she was quite poised and regal. Ever since she started training to become a hunter though, she lost her hard shell and became more laid back. She cares much less about her looks, so her hair is usually thrown up lazily and she hardly ever gets dressed up, unless it's in her hunting garb. Because most of the other hunters around her are boys, she has taken to throwing jokes around easily, and doesn't care much anymore about bodily functions, or even the way they tease her. Other than that she is very carefree, and loves doing athletic things.
As a young child, Elizabeth was a refined lady of high society. Her father was a famous hunter, long retired, and her mother was a Lady that preferred nannies over taking care of her child herself. Be that as it may, her father was a very kind man who was happy to have settled down for once, and he spent a lot of time with her. In secret, he would have the guards of their ground train with her, because she had such an interest in the Witch hunting he told her stories about. In her first few years, she was unable to do much, and the young servant boys would tease her until she found tears trailing down her face. Later on though, she showed a bit more promise, and her father gave her to active hunters so she could train fully. Her mother disowned her when she found out, and has not talked to her in person ever since.
Nowadays, Elizabeth is a hardworking, full time hunter. She trains as hard as she possibly can, but she has never gone to the point of introversion. She talks to her father often, and writes letters that may or may not get to her mother. She also spends a lot of time at the pub, throwing around jokes with groups of friends.
Elizabeth's signature weapon is that of her father, it is a whip with a detachable blade on the top, so she can use it for both long range and short range purposes. Of course, she is an expert with this weapon, however she can use many others.
Elizabeth would prefer a partner who can be a Casanova in a private setting, but a good friend to hang out with in public. She wants someone she can work with, that she won't have to carry around. She doesn't want someone that doubts her capabilities just because she's female, but she does want someone that can joke with her without being awkward.
So far, Elizabeth has had no time for a pet, though she is always on the lookout for one.
Triss Felminah
-Age-
22
-Personality-
Triss has never felt like she has belonged, but she has always craved to have a special place where she felt like she was at home. Seeing as this is the case, she is easily swayed by offers of acceptance. She is a very sweet, and simple girl. She's never been one for flirting, and most of the time attempts at romance go way over her head. She wants a storybook ending, but she knows that being a witch means she'll have to fight miserably for just a hint of happiness, she just hasn't started fighting aggressively...yet.
-A Short History-
Triss was born to two human parents, just average farmers making a meager living. Although they loved her, she knew she would never be their perfect daughter. In order to gain their attention, she had to overachieve, but it almost never worked. She was outdone by her older siblings, not because they could accomplish a task any better than she, but because they were normal.
At the age of sixteen, she used her powers for the first time. It was during a fight, between her and some of the other girls in the village. They had called her a traitor, and a whorish witch. They had cursed her entire bloodline, and it was only then when Triss had even thought about fighting back. Without her knowledge, Triss had locked eyes with the girl and brought up a murderous thought she had once had over a long time friend. The two friends that had once been ganging up on her, starting attack each other. Triss ran before she could see the end of the battle, and when she arrived at her home she fell to her knees, begging her mother to forgive her.
Her mother, having no idea what she had done, had picked Triss up and hugged her, soothing her down until her sobs ceased. This was not the case however, when Triss explained what she had done to the two poor girls. She told her mother that she had manipulated them, and that they had gone for each others throats. When she finally opened her eyes and wiped away her tears, she saw the expression on her mother's face. Not concern, not worry, just plain unadulterated fear.
It was that night, when Triss had packed her few belongings, and fled. She has never returned to her village, not even taking the time to write a letter to her parents.
-Special Power-
Persuasion- Triss' special power is that of persuasion. When she locks eyes with a foe or friend, she can dig up the darkest most powerful urges they have buried deep within. The thoughts can be that of extreme passion, or fury, but once they are brought to the forefront of a person's mind, they usually act upon it. She can't make up thoughts, or bend a person's will, she can only use what's there. Those in tune with magic may notice that her eyes become a vibrant shade of green whenever she uses her powers. -Things They Look For In A Partner-
Triss has always wanted a charming, handsome man. Personality is what matters to her, someone that can joke with her and appreciate her for who she is. Someone that doesn't look at her with fear in their eyes, and most importantly someone that will actually lock eyes with her.
-Pets/Familiars-
Shortly after Triss had left her home, a white owl began to follow her, and hasn't stopped since. She hasn't named it, because she's afraid it will die if she gets to close to it. However, she does feed it and pet it often.
Her newest pet is Ettien Brandt, a Fae who is her advisor and friend.
Ettien Brandt
Age
Like many Fae, Ettien is much older than he looks. His true age is lost, while his targeted appearance is mid-twenties.
Personality
Ettien is a faithful servant, who often takes the role of big brother towards those he is assigned to protect. He has always been a wise companion, able to give advice on a whim. When it comes to people outside of his protection, Ettien can seem fairly brackish. This is because he is a headstrong man, who says what is on his mind when it needs to be said. He's not afraid to turn violent if it means protecting his loved ones,
History
Ettien was first introduced to his original Mistress as a toddler, a gift to Ysera from a family who had no use for a shapeshifter. After a proper tongue session, Ysera accepted him as a servant. He grew up watching her dance through her highs, rambling philosophical ideas, and cooking stew in her pot. It wasn't a bad life: the grass skirts were just as plentiful as the mushrooms that grew outside, and from the time he could speak he was treated as an adult.
Ettien was a witness during Ysera’s infatuation with the storm bitch witch Alice. He was there during the birth of Ysera’s daughter, easing her through the process with reassuring words and potions that sated the cramps. He was the one who took the baby and planted her in the mortal world with two simple parents, afraid the wailing child would snare the heart of its mother. He was a silent observer as the forlorn Ysera wasted her free hours scrying, an onlooker in the life of her child, who had been named Ivory.
Years passed, counted only by the progression of Ivory’s life and death. Ettien was unsure how Ysera took the deaths of Ivory and her extended family, because she was always high off her ass. Ettien was usually bored watching the scrying bowl, mortal lives were short-lived and pointless. Be that as it may, even he had to admit he was curious when Ysera reported the birth of a powered child, so long down the ancestral line.
The servants pored over the scrying bowl, watching her grow and develop herself. Word spread of her presence, and everyone knew it was only a matter of time before she arrived at their doorstep. Some Fae sang tales of her arrival, most hoped they would not live to see the day the bastard child arrived. Ettien wasn't excited about the arrival of the witch, but he was protective of his Mistress, and spent his free time torturing those who openly detested the scion.
When the scion finally arrived, Ettien was collecting ingredients for Ysera’s potions. Upon entering the town, he was surrounded by endless chatter. After rushing to Ysera, he was met with the news that the Scion had visited. When he was informed that the girl -Triss- had gone on a search for an Aeon days ago, Ettien had to stifle a laugh. Ysera, seemingly forgetting the incredible possibility that her great granddaughter wouldn't return, assigned Ettien to return to the mortal world with her, as an advisor. He agreed easily, sure he would not end up leaving with anything other than a carcass.
Special Power
Ettien is very rarely in his humanoid form, instead taking the guise of a pure white snake. In this form, he can talk like any other, though he prefers whispering in Triss’ ear like the devil on her shoulder. Being a snake, he also has the perk of fangs full of paralytic venom. To keep himself warm, he is usually found slithering across Triss’ upper body.
When fed on Triss’ blood, Ettien is able to see a thin layer of the emotional realm, what Triss calls ‘double vision’. Unlike Triss, Eitien is unable to differentiate between the emotions. He does however have a good sense as to the alignment of said emotion.
Things They Look For In A Partner
Ettien has taken to celibacy, for the time being. He believes that taking up a partner would distract him from Triss, who needs all the help she can get. This, however, does not prevent him from lighthearted flirting with his new Mistress.
Pets/Familiars
He serves Triss, under special orders from his previous Mistress, Ysera.
