Thanks for being reasonable "I own cows". What you said made me happy. I'm sorry I lash out at people. It's not because the roleplay isn't getting interest, it's because of real life issues. Then someone *cough* Hael *cough* was really rude and jumped to conclusions I just had to shout out. When people don't listen or understand due to them thinking something I know is wrong, that makes me mad.
And also, I wanted to keep the idea open. It is very character driven.
"I have given you a universe and you may sculpt it, but you must follow some rules."
That is what the roleplay is about. If people aren't interested in it, it's because they don't have enthusiasm (or simply don't like the modern alchemy theme). Why should they join a roleplay without a clear direction? They believe it isn't going to go anywhere. However, if you apply enthusiasm, you can make it go somewhere. An actual quote is "The world is your oyster." I'm giving you freedom. You can either do something or sit out and join a different roleplay. I don't care if this one doesn't get enough people as long as the people who look at it have a good reason why. Something like "The GM has a tough life and therefore is usually aggressive" isn't a great reason. Same with "I don't know anything about the Alchemist." A good reply would be:
"I have read through your interest check and unfortunately I'm not interested. I like the idea about how players will heavily influence what happens in the story, it's innovative and great! However, I believe the topic on Alchemy might get confusing later on. I know lots of questions will be answered but I'm afraid I might get bored of the whole thing. Alchemy is a decent idea, it's just the modern tone of it that might make it seem dull and less magical than a fantasy-based Alchemy roleplay."
Of-course, everyone is different. I love my idea but I've been unlucky with the people who see it.
