The Dark Bum Priest? What a great title! :3
Excellent! Now we just need to wait for 3 or 4 more people. Maybe 2 more might work if we make it a little smaller.
Thanks for being reasonable "I own cows". What you said made me happy. I'm sorry I lash out at people. It's not because the roleplay isn't getting interest, it's because of real life issues. Then someone *cough* Hael *cough* was really rude and jumped to conclusions I just had to shout out. When people don't listen or understand due to them thinking something I know is wrong, that makes me mad.

And also, I wanted to keep the idea open. It is very character driven.

"I have given you a universe and you may sculpt it, but you must follow some rules."

That is what the roleplay is about. If people aren't interested in it, it's because they don't have enthusiasm (or simply don't like the modern alchemy theme). Why should they join a roleplay without a clear direction? They believe it isn't going to go anywhere. However, if you apply enthusiasm, you can make it go somewhere. An actual quote is "The world is your oyster." I'm giving you freedom. You can either do something or sit out and join a different roleplay. I don't care if this one doesn't get enough people as long as the people who look at it have a good reason why. Something like "The GM has a tough life and therefore is usually aggressive" isn't a great reason. Same with "I don't know anything about the Alchemist." A good reply would be:

"I have read through your interest check and unfortunately I'm not interested. I like the idea about how players will heavily influence what happens in the story, it's innovative and great! However, I believe the topic on Alchemy might get confusing later on. I know lots of questions will be answered but I'm afraid I might get bored of the whole thing. Alchemy is a decent idea, it's just the modern tone of it that might make it seem dull and less magical than a fantasy-based Alchemy roleplay."

Of-course, everyone is different. I love my idea but I've been unlucky with the people who see it.

It isn't fucking unreasonable, you're just an asshole who likes to judge people with hardly any information. Do you know why I'm angry? No you fucking don't so shut your fucking mouth.
Also my friends were being assholes, if you were me you'd understand everything <3
Sorry. I'm just pissed since I have nothing to do to waste my time. There aren't any new games and fallout 4 is going to suck despite what people say.
Omfg I fucking give up. One with 5 less hours than this has 50% more posts than this.
BUMP
Bump again? Is writing an interest check fucking pointless here?
That's the problem though. The players will influence the Alchemist's decisions. He's looking for people because he thinks if he taught someone his skills then they could help him run his shop. He's a very lonely man who has to talk to puppets all day since they're the only people who like him. Think of the poor man. If he did have a person enter his shop, he'd show them to the different pharmaceutical drugs and let them pick. These people actually know that he is a true alchemist and learn his secrets and information about the man. That is the hook of the whole roleplay. You're constantly learning about this man and alchemy and you can make decisions to effect the whole scenario. Will you tell everyone the secrets of alchemy? Will you leave the man out of your life? Will you make potions for your own benefit or will you be kind and help the unfortunate guy out?

FYI "The roleplay is set in a big town (possibly in England or maybe even a parallel planet to Earth?) and the time is present day" I'm imagining London or Bristol but prettier :3 The alchemist's shop is going to be small and near a boring corner shop. Maybe a cafe or a bank, ideas are welcomed.
