║ Appearance ║Emery stands at an average 5’11”, and at a yet more average 160 lbs. Mousy brown hair falls in waves around his head, deep blue eyes, and a usually shaven face marks the true presence of an average looking guy, which all there really is to Em’s physical self, not counting the weird Nike-looking scar on his arm from working at a grill.
Clothing-wise, Em tries to keep things looking interesting, if not slightly dated. T-shirts of old emo bands well past their time of relevancy lay scattered across his closet floor, on top of the skinny jeans and wide variety of jackets that may or may not also be on the ground. The one nice jacket that Em owns, a black peacoat that he may have stole from his much wealthier friend his senior year in high school, is hung up on the closet door, and a pile of Vans sit right beside his bed.

What You See:
An avid gamer who also just happens to be good at art, when En is out, he may come off as rude, know-it-all, with more that a twinge of sarcasm built in to every line he says. He doesn’t mean anything by it, but that’s how it comes out. Em is kind of tricky, just from not knowing about how serious he is or not about just about anything.
What I Know:
Once you learn some more about Em, you know that he means well for most people he meets, assuming that they haven’t pissed him off. His personality just comes out wrong. He doesn’t necessarily treat himself as well as others, however. Em has a constant nagging in his head about how anything he does could easily be so much better, so he has a tendency to put things off, often to his own detriment. This doesn’t apply just to work, he’ll put anything and everything off; friends, family, even playing games or just doodling- all because someone, somewhere can do it better.

║ My Dreams ║The first thing that Em wants to do is survive, and to do that, he needs to do well in something, anything. If he had all of the talent that he wanted, Em would strive to be the next big thing gaming has seen- beautiful, interactive pieces of art that could touch the souls of millions of players; delicately crafted stories that weave in and out of each other- but only if the utmost attention was given. However, there are plenty of people that are better at designing than himself, so Em just wants to be relevant somehow

Born to a Miss Amelia Kirsten White, father unknown, in Sacramento, Emery was raised in the not so nice parts of the large Californian city. His next door neighbor was a drug dealer, and his other neighbor was, you guessed it, another dealer. Across the street however, lived a girl with a similar situation as himself- a single mother who’s husband had left her after their second child. Maria Santiago was Em’s best friend for their entire school life. Her older brother Michael was a major part of his fascination with games, however. A single Playstation was all that it took for the three youth to spend countless hours, days, even weeks worth of time sitting in one place, staying out of trouble. Both Em and Maria wanted to make their own games, and began drawing and writing stories in middle school- Maria was the writer, and Em the artist. As time went on, the duo shared their dreams, with Em’s natural talent being built up, and core skills being developed.
However, things went wrong in high school. Shortly after Em began, a violent gunfight went down on the street that he lived on, Michael being mortally wounded. Over the next few years, Em worked even harder, to make something that his friend would’ve been proud of. Though, with all of his work, he forgot one crucial thing- his best friend. Maria, left alone, ran away from home, leaving Em by himself to work in his own.
In Emery’s senior year, he made new friends, including a snob named Alex Johnson. Due to the odd zoning of the city, some economic groups were put together that shouldn’t have been, giving rise to the team of Alex and Em. Alex coddled up to Em quickly, noticing his art and stories, he began to try and take credit for some and selling them online, easily gaining recognition and lining his pockets. When Em found out, a swift punch to the jaw ended the friendship, and Em stormed out of the house, taking a couple of items to make up for the stolen art.

║ About My Audition ║Em applied to several schools throughout the country, hoping to get picked up by an above-average school, but Mortimer was an entirely different level. Both him and his best friend at the time applied, and for some reason unbeknownst to him, Em was accepted. It turns out that the years of concept work and designs, as well as animations from all kinds of art styles that he had posted online had picked up some interest. Em didn’t think much of the numbers that kept steadily rising, but someone at Mortimer did, and Em moved across the country to join the elite.
