"-PER, GET DO-" Lena shouts, bolting to an upright sitting position, panic evident in her eyes and face as she reaches for her pistol, which is holstered on her left hip. She trails off mid-word, looking around as she realizes that this is indeed not the battlefield she died in. "Thats strange.... I could have sworn that I was shot. I remember being shot. In the head, no less..." she continues, in a far less panicked, far more confused tone. "Weird..." She mutters, taking a mental and physical tally of herself and her surroundings. She starts to realize that she is hungry, almost ravenously so, just as she notices the plate, and the steak. 'Huh, dying must work up an appetite...' she ponders, in her head on account of her mouth being to busy processing steak for the trip to her stomach to do any talking.
@Ashevelendar@Gat Izen I always love it when people take my thoughts/ideas and run with them...
So...the man gave us the stones and told us where to go and we get our powers.
Something better. ( or not ) What if we all find the stones , get our powers and a few months ( 2-3 ) after we get our powers this man comes to us and tells us he knows of our powers ( we kept them hidden for obvious reasons ) and we should go to an address.
I actually quite like this one (the upper bit), especially if it is used with the choice reasoning from this bit(the lower bit):
I was thinking about this man that told us where to go and I asked myself this : " Why would a man gave some people he never met something that precious ( the stones ) ? " The answer ? Because he stands to gain something. The corporation that you said Gat could be the ones that found the stones and this man stole them and gave it to us in order to take out this corporation ( of course our characters will not know the real reason until it's too late ). The stones merge with our characters and that's the reason the corporation wants to kill us. The man's connection to any of us ? Either that he knew our parents ( in which way we decide ) or the stones "chose" us. They were only compatible with a small number of persons.
@CAS1006 A question that I only just thought of, but that seems important: Do we remember our deaths up to the point of death, then suddenly wake up here?
I had been under the impression tha the characters knew each other fom the beginning, if i am wrong, i apologize.
In the case that I am wrong, another idea: We are each handed a paper-wrapped lump, when we open it, our stone is there, and a slip of paper says, go to X location at X time. Once we all get there, our stones start to glow, and we each suddenly get our powers OR We get the stone, get the power, go to place
I am good with it either way, but to build off of what @KitsuneDarling suggested, possibly they were delivered to, for example, Alexandra's house, a box, containing X paper-wrapped lumps and a sheet of paper with each of our names on it, and then Alexandra (or whoever its delivered too) passes the info on.
or, alternitavely, it is placed in a secret spot that just the group of us know, theoretically, but with the same stuff otherwise
Name: Lena Koenig Nickname: Doc Race: Human Age: 28 Gender: Female
Proportionality:
Weight: 135 lbs Height: 5’ 5” Frame: Slender
_______________________
Personality: Annoyed by her teammates tendency to get hurt, but ultimately cares for all her teammates immensely. A Blunt and straightforward person, she sugarcoats for nobody, simply stating things as she sees them. She does, however, know when it would be better to shut up.
Job: Combat Medic
Fighting Style: Soldier. She uses her service-issue Handgun, and then her Cyborg arm
Weapons from strongest to weakest: Standard Issue Service Pistol, Cybernetic Arm, Syringe Gun (Single-Shot, Medium Range?)
19+1 rounds 9 mm 3.5 in barrel integral tac-light
The gun is a single-shot breach loading syringe pistol
Gadgets: Syringe Gun (Tranq Ammo, Nano Shots, Adrenalin Shots) Cybernetic Arm: high strength granted by arm, as well as various upgrades to it, such as a medical scanning suite and an escape-and-evade kit, which includes items such as a smoke bomb dispenser, and a ranged taser, as well as a grappling hook and thin but super strong rope
Armors/Outfits Armored Lab Coat provides Light Armor, If they are going into combat, she will don an armored vest which would count as Medium Armor
Weight Class: Medium
Awakening: a pair of “wings” appear, floating just behind her shoulder blades, and her physical powers go up exponentially until the power fades. However, the physical strain of using this ability is enormous, and if used continuously for too long, the user will fall unconscious, wherever they are.
Pros: She is a caring, loyal and pragmatic person with a tendency towards being quite blunt. Almost all of the time, if not all the time. She is also a calm person, with control over her emotions that doesn’t usually slip
Cons: She is super blunt. To everyone. Also, if her control over her anger slips, in particular, she essentially goes berserk on whatever was the cause of her ire.
Racial Strengths- Adaptable
Racial Weaknesses- Natural (mostly) human, therefore is easily squishable.
Background: Lena was the Combat Medic for an elite PMC called Blackthorne, which was a group more focused on Black Ops. She got this by becoming a Combat Medic in the Army, and a damned good one, too. However, the got a little TOO pissed at her senior officers, beat the living shit out of him and got summarily booted out. Soon after, she was approached by an… interesting figure, a lady who cut a wide swath through the crowd, yet who nobody except Lena seemed to realize was there. She beckoned for Lena to follow, and not having much to lose, she did. She was then summarily stuffed into the back of a van and dragged off to the Blackthorne recruitment center, where she was officially recruited, and given training to bring her up to speed on how covert operations worked, and to instill upon her the “Its just business” viewpoint, though they had mixed success with the last part. Soon after, she was deployed, having taken to the training like a duck to water. On her second mission, however, her team came under sniper fire. The team realized this when a small red dot appeared on their medic (Lena), shortly followed by a shot that took her right arm, blew it off at the shoulder. She survived, and they completed the mission, but both were only barely. When they got back to base, Blackthorne installed a modified Cybernetic Arm onto her, to replace her blown-to-pieces original, and she went back to the field for 5 more lucrative years, until another ambush party decided to shoot her first. Except this time, they hit the killshot.
