Vivian Benini
Vivian was busy, dressed in his comfortable old jeans and shirt he was typing a letter for a job opening. It sure was summer but he would prefer if he managed to get a nice paying job. The last few days he was all but sending his resume and job application to absolute everything he spotted open on the internet. So when a mail arrived his hopes raised.
Could it be? Had he landed one? He read the mail slightly confused.

[Accept] [Decline]
He didnt remember applying for a digimon tamer position. Thougth if it happened late last night... who knows lack of sleep can lead to various things. So like a responsible and reasonable person Vivian was he googled the sender. Arriving on a reddit topic, it was confusing him briefly. He gave a curious read over the topics.
"Hacks are starting to get annoying" "Digi's need an easier way to get strong" "Lol my partner is bad, but a guy got me a new one"Apparently there was a need for digimon tamers. There was one topic that caught his eye the most.
"Search tamer to deal with hack. Pay good." So it had to be a real job opportunity that he may applied in his sleep deprived state. Pay good sounded promising.
With that cleared up he moved back to the email, pressing accept. Hoping next mail will tell him some instruction on what the job was about. For the moment he assumed he was to go through some digital data and tame them?... It sounded like a math pun he wasnt aware of, probably some statistic work Vivian further resonated...
"It does sound kinda cool, have to take my cap off." He mumbled to himself.
His mail increased to one unread. Impressed at the speedy reply he opened it.
Congratulations Tamer!

“Digital Assistant Device?... I hope it has a sassy british voice. ” True to their word the program was there. Vivian didnt question it too much, instead simple clicking it awaiting for some form of installation to start or perhaps a step by step manual to open up to explain what his job was or a fill in asking him for his information.
Neither happened.
Instead his computer started acting up.
No, it was more like something turned the
be haunted dial to eleven. Vivian watched as something started to all but sail out his screen, unprepared for such a thing he fall out his chair with a half yelp, half scream. His father's voice sailed from the living room and thougth his room closed door. Sounding slightly worried.
"Son? Is everything alright?" Vivian jumped up on his feet and crack opened the door from his bedroom and looked at his father, responding.
"... Um... Dad, remember that movie ring or how you call it...The one with the lady creeping out the screen.""The one we watched last weekend? Yeah it was silly, absurd and had no drop of realism in it. Its trash movie. What about it?" The red haired young male briefly looked over his shoulder where the orange device was peacefully hovering over his table. He awaited it to start turning into something with teeth or something... He turned his head back towards his father still keeping his door only a crack open.
"Aha, yeah quite unrealistic... Say if it were for a device instead of a long haired woman... and if it was floating...would it be more realistic?""No. Stop wasting your time on stupidity. It kills brain cells." Vivian nodded and closed his door. Turning around he looked around his room, it was a clean room, everything was where it was supposed to be, and he vacuumed it just two days ago. Even his bed was nicely made. He picked up a ruler from his bookshelf and slowly approached the device.
He poked it with the ruler.
It didnt eat him.
He poked the screen with the ruler.
It didnt eat him either.
Feeling more confident he put the ruler down.
It was still hovering in front of his nose, but at least there was something akin a instruction on his screen. He read it out aloud.
“Enjoy your digivice. When you’re ready, point the front of your device toward your monitor and say “Digital Gate, Open!”" Well at the very least it wasnt a message like, you will die in seven days. It was peaceful as well. No knives flying for his neck...And he was definitely not ready. Nope. Nada. Ne. Nyet. Nein. No.
He stood up from his chair and left his room. The door carefully closing after himself, just in case it floating orangeness could get upset. He pointedly went to the kitchen and started making dinner. He ate with his father chit chatting. Washing the dishes and gave a long hug to the man.
"I love you Dad. You are the best father, and I am not just saying you being my only father." The strict man gave a brief hug back shaking his head, and blaming teenager hormones and lack of a girlfriend for his sons strange behavior. Vivian laughed it away.
Instead of going in his room he went back to the kitchen and made sandwiches. He took a bottle of orange juice as well. He checked the laundry as well. He felt briefly annoying at how well he took care of the house work, seeing how he slowly run out of things to do to postpone facing what ever he started in his room.
"Well... with nothing else coming to mind... I guesses I am ready?" He slowly picked inside the room. Everything was exactly like he left it. Including the patiently floating orangeness. He packed the sandwiches and bottle of juice in a small backpack. He eyed the ruler. It was a sturdy looking ruler. He packed in as well. Unsure what was awaited from him to be considered ready. His wallet joined the party in his backpack. They should have written some more instructions. He opened his window in case he had to jump out as he runs away from something out to kill him. He put on his running shoes as well. Just in case...
Logically speaking he should simply unplug his computer and end it all now.
But~
The small curious voice in his head was urging him to do as he was told, just to see what will happen. Every time he listened to that small voice he would regret it. Every time he would get in trouble because of the small voice.
His fingers were already reaching out and wrapping around it.
"... Why I keep getting myself in trouble. I should know better. Digital Gate, open!" Knew record, one seconds and he was already regretting it. He was dragged into the screen of his computer. His mind in too much of a shock to react to the fact that he was technically turned into dust in the process with whole backpack and running shoes. He was flying surrounded by a tube of ones and zeroes and finally found himself falling.
Ah, getting ready meant grow wings or put a parachute on. Vivian idly commented to himself in his mind as he was falling face first towards... a pile of people?
He dropped on top of them with a grunt.
"Ugh... is anyone else mind broken?"
