Fab, when it comes to portraying a character believably, you might be the best this site has.

There's no need to build a labyrinth when the entire universe is one.

Bio

Well, this was my account. Had my fair share of memories of the guild, both good and bad. I hope you all have a great time here and keep getting better at RPing and writing. Myself, I've fallen out of love with roleplaying in general, and this site in particular. There's still good people here, but I've learned enough and seen enough that I'm not confident this site is going good places. Tanderbolt's moving on. Where am I going after this? I don't know, but to quote Raymond Carver, "I'm always learning something. Learning never ends.". Good night, ladies, good night

Here's my second character, sorry it's another guardian. I'm officially retiring Prospero at this point, he's basically unworkable now. Name: Igor Pechorsky Real Name: Ilya Muromets Age: 38 Appearance - Thirteen Years Ago (Age 25): ![-Insert Picture Here-](http://178.32.177.128/thumb/6/6f/Vitali_Klitschko_002.jpg/300px-Vitali_Klitschko_002.jpg "enter image title here") Appearance - Today (Age 38): [Linked for hugeness](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f1/Vitali_Klitschko_July_2014.jpg) Occupation (If Any): Ski Lodge Employee Personality: Ilya is a caring man, and he rarely shows fear or much emotion. He tends to be very set in his ways and hates to change or admit he is wrong. He does have a short temper, he is not very good at avoiding conflict when opposed. Skills: As a military veteran, Ilya is a good marksman and a skilled fighter. He is also physically fit for his age and has good wilderness survival skills. He lacks academic knowledge, a result of his impoverished upbringing and unfamiliarity with this world. Life before Earth: Ilya born into a humble peasant family. A childhood disease rendered him unable to walk for years, but he still kept up his spirits. He was healed when a dying knight, Svatogor, gave him his strength. Ilya vowed to use his newfound abilities for good, and defended the weak throughout the land. He fought valiantly alongside his fellow heroes, but they could not stop the villains from winning. Even though he was not the most experienced hero, the rulers trusted him because they saw potential. Ilya helped smuggle the children out of the fairy tail realm, and into the real world. Life on Earth: Now named Igor Pechorsky, Ilya settled in Russia for a while he waited for the children to grow up. He joined the army, serving for several years, but grew tired of fighting. Instead of continuing the military life, he decided to live in America for a while. He was able to get a job working at a ski lodge, the same one that Elsa and Anna's adopted parents own.
Here we go, Funes. I really hate finding pictures. Name: Ireneo Funes Real Name: Isaac Funes Age: 32 Occupation (If Any): Computer Programmer Appearance - Thirteen Years Ago (Age 19): ![enter image description here](https://heartofuruguay.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/school-photo.jpg?w=600 "enter image title here") Appearance - Today (Age 32): ![enter image description here](http://img3.rnkr-static.com/list_img/11088/1071088/C300/famous-coachs-from-uruguay-u1.jpg "enter image title here") Personality Traits: Funes is not a people person. Social interactions are difficult for him, and he is often rude because he doesn't want to make them any longer than they have to. He reads obsessively, and often goes on one sided rants about subjects. He avoids heavily populated places and has bizarre habits, like creating his own numbering system. He hates breaking promises, and will work hard to keep them. Skills: Funes has perfect memory, he can never forget anything he has read or experienced, he excels at tasks dependent on memory. As a result of this, he has acquired a wide array of knowledge, most notably in history and literature. He has trouble when encounters problems that are new to him, where has little previous experience to refer to. Biography (Before Earth): Funes was an average boy born in an obscure village. He had a peculiar talent for always recalling the time, but was otherwise unremarkable. One day, he fell off a horse and was seriously injured. The fall crippled him, but also did something strange to his brain. He found himself gifted with perfect recall, unable to forget anything he witnessed. The collected experiences of his life made him weary, and he became a recluse, reading and rarely interacting with others. Gradually, his gift became known throughout the land. When the evil queen rose to power, the royals asked him to go to earth with their children, because they knew that he would be able to educate them about their previous lives, and he would never forget his mission. He reluctantly accepted, hoping that it would ultimately make the world safer for his family. Biography (Life On Earth): He adjusted to earth by reading extensively, bouncing around between several careers. He eventually settled on computer programming because it required little interaction. He lives in Boston and makes constant use of the libraries, they are one of the few reasons he leaves his apartment. He hasn't forgotten his mission and still checks on the royal children from time to time, but resents it. Other: ?
I had two ideas, which I like about equally. 1. He could the chief spymaster for the evil queen, using his memory to keep tabs on everything that is going on in the kingdom. 2. He was sent to earth as one of the guardians for the royal children, his job is to educate them when the time comes, his perfect memory makes it easy for him to remember it all. The years have made him resent his job, he really wishes he didn't have to worry about it, his friendship with the other guardians is what keeps him from completely neglecting his duties. Also, on another note, is it ok if I recycle my version of Ilya Muromets (from the RP that DeadlyFairy ran) with some slight changes? I just wanted to make sure you were ok with reusing characters/we don't have too many good guys before making a character sheet.
> > Vicier, any thoughts on my dilemma? If I have make a new character, I have some ideas, might even bring back Ilya if I don't come up with anything better. Would it be ok to use someone from an Jorge Luis Borges story? I understand if his work is too modern to qualify. > > O-O I am not familiar with his work, please do enlighten me, I'm really curious now. Borges was an Argentinian writer, notable for his short stories. He had a complex style, layered with references other literature and history, along with exploring philosophical themes. His work is respected within the literary establishment, he's often grouped with Marquez as introducing South American literature to the wider world. I'm a big fan of his, and I was thinking of using Ireneo Funes, from his story, Funes the Memorious. You can find the full text [here](http://www4.ncsu.edu/~jjsakon/FunestheMemorious.pdf) or a summary [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funes_the_Memorious). I picked him because I think there's some neat possibilities for a shut-in with a perfect memory, and because I don't want to do someone who's been done a million times before. Don't worry about saying no, I've got other ideas for characters.

I'm sorry I made a post with Prospero doing magic on earth, I've since deleted it. I mentioned it in my character sheet and no one said anything, so I thought it was ok, but I missed reading the part of the setting description about no magic on earth. I might have to make a new character, as Prospero would be dead or at least completely isolated without magic. Don't worry, I've got several ideas.
I'm sorry I'm late, but I posted. Maybe I'll even get around to making another character.
((Messed up here, ignore what happened. Might have to make a ne character))
I'm thinking of making a post taking place at the ski lodge, but I don't want to mess up anyone's plans or make the place to crowded. Is it ok if I make one?
I'm still here, didn't get to make my first post before the guild crashed. I'll get it out sometime soon.
