Scene 1: All out war for the sake of Existence.

Scene 2: A couple of goofballs explore a magic mountain.

And Scene 3, in which a somehow both wholesome and downright sociopathic father attempts, with the help of an interdimensional traveler, to rescue his daughter from the clutches of the secret police of the reestablished Soviet Union.

*Reaches the truck, and grabs the machine gun from behind, tearing it from the car and tossing the detached machinery behind me off the vehicle*
How about that?

Careful! Don't let them- no!

*My gaze goes down to a Nightwatch gangster brandishing a rocket launcher and pointing it at the vehicle. Before he can fire, however, I shoot him in the head and the resulting shot goes wide, demolishing a storefront.*

*I then jump down and land atop the roof, crawling down towards the rear doors only to see that not only are they triple-locked, but I have just exposed myself to the truck behind's line of fire.*

A mystery isn't something we can afford in these circumstances. This is too volatile a situation.

Of course. Really, I was pulling them closer to get a good look. If they really were enemy, then I would have them shot into the heart of the storm faster than a man-hunt spills blood.
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>

I recognize that. You also lack insight into who is inside the storm right now.

It's like one of those 'mystery boxes' your kind refers to. Not knowing what you're going to pull from the unfathomable is just part of the fun!
<Snipped quote by Source>

He was referring to his dispersement of the storm. He wasn't talking about the bombardment. The fleet was designed for expeditions, so the bombardment weapons are for close support in the event of combat. It's not a carpet bombing, since that would kill the expedition team. We've measured it to land within 15 meters of the target, excepting freak wind currents or deflection.

I wonder... would the energy emitted by the crystal go up, towards the gun, or out, towards the source of the shrapnel?
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>

How targeted?

<Snipped quote by GalaxyRaider>

What’s stopping you?

We have a single target: namely, the astral creature generating this storm. Everyone else is aligned with our cause. Of that entity, you should focus your attacks on the crystal that drives it. It's unlikely to break, but it will expel energy in the direction of force applied to it. Don't allow it to hit allies if that can be avoided. Keep the man in the suit that controls the storm safe at all costs.

There's a fleet of mine in orbit. Would a bombardment work?
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>

Then I hope you can follow orders.

Don't worry, that's something I can do. So, then...

*The android bows cordially.*

What is required of me?
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>

I have greater concerns than the insects.

I can see. Let's just say that I don't particularly care. This isn't an insult to you, it's just that, well, I am literally unable to.
<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>

If you're not extremely careful, you're going to have enemies on both sides. I suggest you watch your step.

I see. But, I have a thing to do, and we don't do guns. Besides. You!

*I point to a bug-like creature, then a spot on the ground. The creature stamps the ground, its foot cupping over the landmine and detonating it safely.*

I've got this.
