I am interested. A lot of potential power ideas, I'll see what I want.
Blake skulked through the city, carefully making his way through the shadows and staying away from people. It wasn't that he couldn't deal with them, he had just proved that if he had needed to, but that he didn't want the trouble and the effort. Even some weak street punk who went away with a flick of his wrist required effort and could give him an injury and in this world fatigue was far from ideal.

As he walked, he realized that he needed to eat. There was no more food in his bag and he wasn't optimistic about scavenging in a relatively crowded area such as this. He remembered hearing about a woman who sold food and so made his way towards the area where she was supposedly located. As he approached her door, he noticed a few others were assembled too but if they were customers they were unlikely to cause trouble and if they tried anything he would take advantage of the chaos.
I'm pretty sure Superman is stronger than a thousand birds by a fair amount.
Blake went sprawling backwards as a bandit came out of the darkness and hit him. He steadied himself and lashed out with his foot, slamming a heavy hiking boot into the man as he approached again. His assailant wasn't hurt significantly but he was knocked off-balance, which was enough. Blake used the wall behind him to stand up rapidly and charged the man, grabbing onto his head by the eyes and forcing it down to meet his raised knee. He screamed in agony and Blake took the opportunity to kick his legs and get him onto the ground and then stamp and kick the man until he was unconscious. He preferred to get along by his own when he could but the man had attacked him and had clear intention to at least beat him enough to steal his stuff and possibly kill him. He made sure that the bandit was unconscious and then looked over his belongings, finding little. The man had no weapons, medicine, food or anything of the sort except for $200. He took the money and put it into his satchel, depositing it in the previously empty section of the bag he used for money, a pouch accessible from what seemed to be a broken part of the lining.

Trying to get far away from any possible allies of the man, Blake briskly walked out of the building and into the street, trying to find somewhere more suitable for shelter and some more supplies.
As Blue Lantern continue to drain the remaining energy from Sinestro's ring, stopping him from breaking out of Deadpool's ropes, he saw that the Goblin Queen had become a problem for the remaining heroes. From his knowledge of his allies, none were particularly powerful against psychics so they'd have to take a different strategy. He created two large floating fists and slammed one into the Goblin Queen whilst shouting in order to distract her.

"Queen. I should think your reign will end before it has had a chance to begin."

While he did so, he purposefully turned her attention away from the other heroes, allowing whoever recovered fast enough to land a blow stealthily.
Appearance: Blake is fairly small but most of his body mass is muscle. He is mixed race from African and Caucasian and has the typical skin colour that comes with that, although he spends most of the time so covered in dirt that it's difficult to tell. He also has dark ginger hair which he keeps short so as to remain unobtrusive and fairly light brown eyes, which seem to be constantly bloodshot. He has many small injuries covering his body but none are particularly notable. With clothing, he tends to go for heavier and more protective attire. He also caries a satchel.
Name: Blake Umbridge

Birthdate: December 28th, 2990 (19)

Backstory: Blake was the illegitimate child of a rich businessman and his cleaner but when he was born his father denied her claims and refused to admit to being the father, bribing people to discredit her when it got out of hand. As such, his fairly poor and now locally vindicated mother had to bring him up and although she had good intentions, the two of them struggled with money and Blake often got into trouble and very often got into fights.

Later in his life, Blake lost his mother in an accident and he ended up on the streets and started getting into more trouble. He became involved with gangs and criminal activity, at first only to stay alive but later to prosper. He fought who he was told to, whether it was to harm or intimidate someone or for someone else's entertainment and he became very good at it. Despite this, he still commonly got hurt and, combined with frustration at his own low morals, he decided that he needed to get out and away from gangs and criminals. When the war happened he got his wish at a serious price. Everything fell apart around him and he was the lone survivor, having to live on his own again and salvage a life from the wreckage of the world.

Starting weapon: Nothing

Type of social skill: Intimidation

Type of combat skill: "Dirty" hand-to-hand combat (fists and weapons that enhance them like brass knuckles)

Type of craft skill: Creating and maintaining tools/melee weapons.
I edited it to remove any conclusion.
Blue Lantern flew through the skies on seeing the signs of battle and sped up when he noticed the familiar yellow light. He saw Spiderman, Thor, Deadpool and Legacy with the Green Goblin and Electro taken down and narrowly avoided being hit by a lump of Clayface. As Spiderman managed to force Sinestro into hitting himself the lantern corps member burst onto the scene.

He created a large dense construct in front of him and sped towards the yellow lantern, hitting him in the back.
"Hope burns bright villain! And there is nothing to fear!"
He fired another simple energy blast at the villain and flipped mid-air in order to dodge a construct blade as Sinestro turned. Ducking to avoid another, he held his ring aloft and pointed it at the villain.
"Fear is nothing when there is hope."
As the blue ring glowed, it drained energy from the yellow ring. As he acted, Sinestro's power gradually drained.
A mysterious light appeared above New York city. For a while it looked like it could have been a shooting star but as it rapidly approached a blue colour became evident. [i]Never gets old[/]. The hero known as Blue Lantern slowed his fall and managed to lose the momentum he had gained on re-entry, swiftly turning into a normal flight pattern. Oa was nice, especially because Kyle was there but Dev had always seen Earth as having a unique beauty. His light glowed brightly as the representative of hope looked across the sky and tried to find somewhere he was needed.
Character You Would Like to Play: Blue Lantern

Real Name: Devdas Rayner

Canon or OC: OC

Character Alignment: Hero

Appearance/Costume: Out of costume, Dev has a fairly slim but average size and build for an older teenager, although a fairly large proportion of his body mass is muscle. His skin colour is darker and typical for Indian descent, he has black, typically untidy hair and a gaunt face, with dark brown eyes. He has a reasonable amount of scars around his body, most notably one which runs diagonally across the upper side of his face from right to left, narrowly missing his left eye. When in civilian clothing, he tends towards black and darker colours but always wears his blue lantern ring.

His costume is an angular and armoured variation of the normal blue lantern costume, which is generated from his ring as all lantern costumes are. It has a black base with blue armour in the form of shoulder-pads, a large section of armour on his chest, large gauntlets and boots. The blue lantern logo is in a recess in the centre of his chest armour which glows when he uses his powers, as well as on the edge of his shoulder-pads and the soles of his boots. He wears a large pair of triangular glasses which cover most of his face instead of a mask, with translucent blue lenses and has a black hood which he uses to further obscure his face.

Origin/History of Your Character: Dev was born to a poor family and orphaned at an early age but constantly attempted to improve his status in life. When he was barely into his teens, he came across a member of the Sinestro corps attempting to recruit gang members into the corps and managed to attract the attention of the green lantern Kyle Rayner. The green lantern managed to defeat the invader but that was not the last time the boy experienced the emotional spectrum. Some time later, the yellow lantern returned desiring revenge and discovered that Dev had called Rayner in order to defeat him and found the boy. However, Dev resisted the fear effects of the yellow ring and managed to evade physical attacks for long enough for Sister Sercy of the blue lanterns and Kyle Rayner to arrive.

The villain defeated again, his ring's energy drained by Sercy, the blue lantern observed that the boy's hope was great and he agreed to travel to Odym with her, where he proved his understanding of hope and became the official blue lantern of sector 2841. While able to use his ring effectively even with the lower power available without a green lantern present, his allies worried about his living situation. Eventually, Kyle Rayner agreed to take him in and provide him with a healthy civilian life as well as backup while fighting crime. As years went on, the two lanterns became closer and Rayner eventually adopted Devdas.

Powers and Abilities:
Fighting ability: Dev has high-quality fighting ability, trained over a long period of time.

Blue lantern ring: Dev is the blue lantern of sector 2841 and can use his blue lantern ring to channel the blue power of hope. The most common uses of this include flight, force-fields, energy blasts and constructs. He can also use the ring to manifest and alter his clothing, translate any language, scan for any kind of signal and communicate with other lantern rings. The blue light of hope also has unique interactions with other light which Dev has learned to be able to turn off and on; when close to a green ring both rings increase in power significantly, it can drain energy from a yellow ring, it is immune from being drained by an orange ring and it can cure people affected by the red light of rage. He doesn't have a lantern, as a blue lantern ring fuels itself directly of its users hope and as such its strength is proportional to his own hope.

Weapons: His blue lantern ring, which gives him the powers previously described. It is a small ring with the blue lantern logo that he wears on his right hand.

Supporting Cast: His adoptive father and existing green lantern, Kyle Rayner.

Other: While he doesn't use the title normally, the other blue lanterns all call him "Brother Rayner".

He has vowed to keep his identity secret as long as Kyle does and reveal it only if Kyle reveals his identity.

While he doesn't have many villains of his own, he has inherited a lot of the foes that faced Earth's green lanterns.

He is somewhat frustrated that the blue lantern corps is so low on numbers compared to the other lantern corps.

Sample Post: "...for hope burns bright!" Devdas shouted as he flew through the air towards the collapsing building. The oath was completely unnecessary but he liked it and it seemed to raise moral if a hero was constantly shouting something inspiring. He sped towards the office block, blue light emerging from his form into a glowing aura. He looked over the building and observed all of the people still stuck before creating a large girder out of his light to hold up the top floor. "Everyone stay calm!" The young hero shouted over the wind as he entered through a broken window on the top floor and signaled for everyone to approach him. He made a circle of light beneath them and descended onto the floor bellow. He continued his descent, picking up the people who hadn't reached the stairs before they collapsed as the floors above him started to crumble. As the last of them approached him, a large chunk of flooring from above collapsed on top of them.

As the blue bubble, almost full to bursting with people shot out of the building, some people from the crowds below cheered. He carefully lowered everyone to the ground and opened up the bubble at the edge of the crowd and letting the rescued civilians join the onlookers. "Do not worry. All will be well." As the blue lantern flew back towards the building, he created a few simple blocks to deflect debris away from crowds and back towards the now-ruined building. He didn't know what had caused it but he would make it his mission to find out.

A journalist waved and, not needing to get away quickly, he decided to engage them. He turned up his aura so as to completely obscure his face and flew towards her. "So, Blue Lantern, do you have any comments on the current situation? What do you think caused this?" The journalist, camera at the ready, seemed to have an unending supply of questions so Dev just cut in before she got too far. "I trust that the cause of this collapse will eventually be discovered but I wouldn't jump to conclusions. As of now, everyone is safe and well, which is what really matters." At that, he took off again and flew away. Nailed it.
