Logan's grin remained, but his eyes glazed over with boredom as the large man(A mercenary of some sort, he thought) opened up his side of the conversation with a threat. The dark mage had misjudged this one, he was the same as all of the other smelly killers, a large, festering blight of annoyance, a fool and an anti-intellec- Logan's disturbed thoughts were brought to a halt as the man continued. Oh, questions. A necessary evil, one that could be tolerated, provided that his questioner didn't ask the ones that took more than five minutes to explain. His eyes darted down to the paper as he smelled the charring, before he answered the big man, slightly annoyed. "The town has many of these things, and many people who wish to sell them to you. Unless you desire to go knocking on doors at this time of night, I'd recommend waiting til everyone isn't either drunk or not conscious."
Logan leaned back from the man, his grin fading to a slight smile as the blonde one spoke, already promising to be a better conversation than the big one if his talents as a spellcaster were anything to go by. Perhaps this one would understand the need for knowledge. The dark mage's traces of annoyance vanished as he tolerated the hated questions, because the prize could be so much more. "The second question answers the first, blonde one. I am an inquisitive soul, as all wielders of the magic arts should be. I come here because you two promised to be the most interesting people in the bar, thus netting me the most amount of experience and knowledge, and since one of you smells strongly of days old blood, I'd also get a chance to test out this tome I found. With that out of the way, do you happen to know where a large amount of either tomes or rare items could be acquired? You seem the sort to know that sort of thing."
