Do you mind if I control fuckface a little bit?
Perfect. It was great. One sec. If this next lost comes off weirded than I mean it to, don't worry.
I don't mind :)
Posted. Hope you like it.
Declan wasnt sure how to answer. Like usual, he sounded more curt and gruffer than he meant.
"You sure?" He said in a low voice(it somehow projecting over the din of the crowd). Even his accent made him sound more sarcastic than he meant.
"Tanks, I mean. Cheers." He meant to turn away right that instant and leave her there before she could freak him out anymore with her lack of susceptibility, but instead he did something he rarely did. Helooked into her eyes and read her. He saw pain. And love. And fear. It was like watching an 8mm on an old sheet.
He saw her first public speaking attempt in middle school and how nervous she was. He saw her cry on valentines day the day after her first love left her. He saw hours of work and love and hope drawn onto a single painting. All at once something changed within him.
He reached out with an age old ability his father had given him.
He'll do it again.
With that, he walked past her and fixed his blazer, trying not to notice how incredibly pretty she was.
Oh shush, its gotta come from somewhere ;)

OK I'll post now. This next post will be a little out there, but trust me on this one
So I was thinking that our first encounter would be quick, and that Lorelei would leave, and that Declan would follow her without her knowing. There's a rescue in order. Thoughts?
Gah your character is adorable. OK posting now.
I'm OK with it :) I'm pretty busy so I dont mind a couple posts a day
At first Declan was confused at the lack of effect, but now he was just plain irritated. He watched dumbfounded as she looked around at the crowd instead of being transfixed by him. She smiled at him and he almost stopped the song completely. Not out of irritation at this point, but because of shock. She smiled at me, he marveled, Not because of the song or the charms, but just to smile. Declan couldn't remember the last time that had happened.
His irritation returned when she answered her phone. It was blatant, blunt and it put him off completely. The irritation was followed, however, by something a little bit darker, more sinister and evasive. It had happened when she answered the phone. Declan didn't know what it meant, Or who was on the other line, but he didn't like it.
He made up his mind as he ended the song. The crowd cheered and he managed a half-smile before the crowd heartily greeted him and he barely managed to slip away before they asked questions.
