Plot

You awaken to a starry night on the beach, warm sand beneath you and the sound of waves crashing endlessly against the shore. Your friends's laughter and the crackling of the bonfire is but a dull buzz at the back of your head. Everything is a blur, but as you struggle to remember the last few hours, you see visions... glimpses of desperate faces behind tinted glass, the remainder of a wreckage scattered on the ocean floor—an explosion, a multitude of voices begging for more time.

A wave of panic threatens to pull you under, but before you know it, your friend is passing you a bottle of soda and wondering why you look sick. It all comes back to you. You are at a party on Edwards Island, and yet, something feels off...

It feels as if you've done this all before.

Edwards Island

It used to house military bases, but is now an abandoned island (Present RP Time = 2015). During the second world war, a submarine called the Kanaloa was sunk via friendly fire, and ever since, strange occurrences have been happening on the island.
What's happening?

  • Ghostly appearances
  • Strange time loops

Where do you come in?

We'll be playing a group of friends who head to the island for a party. Unfortunately, they find themselves stuck in a time loop. At first things will be hazy and unclear, but as the RP progresses they become more aware of the wibbly wobbly time stuff and embark on quest to solve the mystery surrounding the sinking of the Kanaloa and the deaths of the 85 officers and 12 passengers.

What am I looking for?

  • A small group consisting of a maximum of five people (Not first come first serve)
  • People who enjoy brainstorming with their fellow RPers
  • People who can post every few days or so
  • People who are aware of Quality > Quantity

Anyone interested ^^? I promise I won't bite. Just be nice and we'll be good pals.
Edit:

Ignore my previous post. I thought it over, and I wish I could join this, it seems very promising. Unfortunately, time is against me, but I shall be stalking this. Best of luck to all of you :)
This looks like a fun and unique idea, but before I toss in my interest, I'll toss in a question. I just want to make sure I'll have enough time.

How often do you want your players to post?
It's perfectly fine, take all the time you need :C I'm sorry to hear about that. It definitely sounds like a rough week and I wish your family member a speedy recovery and best of luck with that job. Don't stress yourself out ^^ I'll be waiting patiently.
Just a question though, since we'll need permission from GM's of other threads. What happens if no one allows it >-<?
This looks very interesting, and it's definitely a unique idea.

I might not have the time, but you definitely have a lurker. Best of luck on your voyages.

Mirth? It's been kind of silent. How are you?
Posted, it's a little shorter than the previous post but it should make interacting easier ^^

Hmmm, we should probably plan ahead. What kind of stuff should we have take place in the hospital?
The four of them were finally together for the first time in years, in a hospital waiting room. It was far from the reunion of their dreams, but here they were, seated together in a corner, looking like it were the end of the world. Then again, it almost felt like the world was ending. Noah was alive, but he was in a coma and the chances of him never waking up were painfully high.

Nathan felt Matt's hand on his then turned to see a twitch of a smile on his friends face. He gave his friend a sympathetic tap on the back then leaned back into his chair, deflating like a balloon. It had been a long and stressful day for all of them and he found himself reeling from the sudden surprise. He had tried to come to terms with Noah's death and had wrestled with his emotions for days. Now, they figured out their friend was alive, and he would have been relieved if not for the fact that Noah was now a vegetable.

Matt mumbled out a word and Nathan arched an eyebrow.

Audrey however straightened up at the sound of her name. For a moment, she looked lost, but the girl managed to compose herself. "He'll be okay." She croaked before giving Matt the most determined look she could muster. Ross told her that Matt had taken things really hard and she wanted to help him and everyone in any way she could. Audrey forced a smile. "This is Noah we're talking about," she kept the smile on her face but her voice sounded hoarse. "He doesn't know when to give up." The girl wrung her hands together and focused her eyes on Matt.

Nathan had leaned back into his chair, eyes squeezed shut. He wouldn't admit it, but he couldn't bare to see his friends like this and it hurt. He listened to as Audrey began to talk about times when Noah absolutely refused to quit. He had always been a stubborn guy and when he believed in something, persuading him to do otherwise was nigh impossible. He remembered when back in seventh grade. Dolly, a fourth grader had lost her cat and Noah had taken it upon himself to find the missing pet. They were dragged into things and days passed with no cat in sight. Eventually they gave up, but not Noah. He kept looking, and two weeks passed but he didn't stop and eventually he found the cat.

"Audrey is right," Nathan didn't even know if he believed his own words. "He isn't the kind of guy who just quits."

The girl's eyes landed on him. Of all people, she hadn't been expecting Nate to agree with her. Audrey froze before nodding in agreement.
Ugh, best of luck with those job hunts >-<)/
