BT-dubs, the bit about the engineer was meant to be an unspoken thought but no biggie.

Amon and Yuga
Amon gave a start as the automaton spoke back, not having expected it to respond to her questions, at least not so...naturally. There seemed to be very little of the stiffness she had grown to know from other robots. She thought for a second that it may be a cyborg, but she couldn't catch even the slightest hint of mana coming from her, a substance present in all naturally born creature.
Amon was brought out of her ponderings at the robots mention of a battle to the death. She held back a snarl, though bearing her fangs unconsciously. It wouldn't be the first time she had taken part in blood sport, a surprisingly easy way to get away with murder as it were in the areas where such things were legal. However she found little pleasure in her current situation, both as a show to those she was sure we're watching, and she hadn't even been given an opponent she could dine on should she win. These "civilized" creatures could be so much crueler than anything she had meet in the great forests.
Her gaze softened, however, as the creature made no attempts to attack after such words, instead seeming to want to watch videos on those devices most seemed unable to be without on earth, often even the youngest having their head stuck in one.The creatures inviting attitude was important though, showing signs that her magic may indeed be working its way into the creatures...mother box? Amon shook her head, giving up trying to understand the workings of a man-made creature.
Nevertheless, she was aware she was at a disadvantage, having been used to stalking prey before, using ambush tactics as her main attack. For now she would play along with the strange creature. Perhaps a chance to for a decisive strike would come, although she was unsure where anything resembling vitals would be on such a thing.
Sidiling up to the side the device was on while keeping some distance between the two, Amon peered at the screen quizzically, her orb now floating behind her as it languidly wove between her tails. " I suppose it wouldn't hurt, although this seems a strange time to engage in such frivolities, " changing her gaze to Yuga, "unless you're planning to wait for time to finish me of for you." She said with a chuckle, though realizing that plan may actually work, it had been a few days now since she had last feed, and while she had enough reserves to last a little over a week, she didn't wish to test her endurance.
A sudden thought crossed her mind, a sly smirk crossing her face. " To be completely honest you have me at a bit of a disadvantage, seeing as a fight to the death isn't really fair," she said, eyes taking in the completely metal creature, "if one of us can't die." She realized this could lead to dangerous territory, but she had little options for the moment. "I mean something as special as a robot that could be accepted in to this prestigious academy," the last phrase positively dripping venom, hind leg coming up to scratch at the collar around her neck once more, "why I'm sure there's a back up of you somewhere, and probably a backup of that backup," she continued, finishing scratching at the collar and gazing directly into the eyes of Yuga, or at least what passed for her eyes, "or would I be wrong in such an assumption miss.." she trailed, allowing Yuga a chance to speak, sending another small bit of mana through the orb, still weaving around one tail and heading towards the next, trying to mix guilt into the equation, although wether robots feel guilt or even if her magic was having an effect had yet to be determined.
