Kennedy smiled as her first Knight, Daniel, showed up surprisingly early. She offered him a nod and a smile, "Early, huh? What's gotten into you?" She smirked, but before she could hear his response, a shadowy cloud of crows appeared and there manifested another member of their posse, Leroy. Kennedy let out a small chuckle at his comment and shrugged, "Well we wouldn't want it to be too easy to get to, would we? Can't have any regular Joe just waltzing in here." She took another drag from the cigarette in her hand, exhaling the smoke. It wasn't a habit she had intended on picking up, but with the stresses of the job, it was either alcohol or nicotine.
Kennedy watched as the group began to assemble, taking their seats and waiting for the last few to show. "Have a drink guys, get comfy." She slid a couple bottles of beer down the table towards Dan and Leroy. More footsteps entered the room and Kennedy looked up to see Jefferey bouncing in with his usual enthusiasm. He happily greeted all the members before taking his seat. "Well look what the cat dragged in," Kennedy said with a smirk as she puffed on the cig. She couldn't help but smile at the ornery expression on his face as he looked up at her. "Yeah yeah, I know." She tossed the still smoldering stick to the ground and planted a foot on it. Reaching into a pocket on her skirt, she pulled out the carton of cigs. "Oh look, it's your lucky day. Last one," She grinned and handed the cancerous tobacco to him, tossing the carton aside. "Alright, that's the last one. No more for either of us, eh?" She gave a quick wink and straightened up to look at her friends.
"Alright guys, let's get this over with." She walked to the doorway and peek out, making sure they didn't have any spies, then returned to her place at the front of the room. "Now, first things first, that crooked guard over in Shantytown that we took care of hasn't tried anything wise yet. Looks like we got him in check, now those people have a little less on their back." She cleared her throat casually and continued, "Next order of business, we have a new contract. I was contacted by a storekeeper here in Soldier's Field. They've been ransacked 3 times now, so tonight we stake out the place and wait for the rat to come to us." Kennedy looked at the three, "Hope you boys didn't have a hot date tonight," a sly smile played across her face.
