@The_written_John There is no "believing." It's the difference between truth and misinformation. All your mindset does is encourage blaming or shaming victims of a terrible crime by convincing them that they are somehow responsible.

Your "opinion" was downright rude and offensive. I also didn't ask for your apology, or need it.

You're blaming yourself for something that wasn't your fault, and you should seek therapy.

@The_written_John There is no correlation between rape and dressing provocatively, it's just an unhelpful and judgmental stereotype used as an excuse to justify rape and to blame victims of sexual assault. Assuming you were raped, you have no reason to act like it was your fault, use that as an excuse to be belligerent, or project your misconceptions and stereotypes onto others.

Sexual violence is not about sex, and the perpetrators are not horny men who saw too much skin and couldn't control themselves. It is planned assault by weak individuals who want a rush of power, and it can (and does) happen to anyone.

The only things that cause or increase the risk of rape are vulnerability and the presence of a rapist.

@Themerlinhawk It is easy to come across like an ass, but it takes a special level of carelessness to include a disgusted reaction gif and use words with a very clear negative connotation like "distasteful" and "Nasty."

Usually, the offensiveness that comes from writing without thinking is the result of failing to convey the tone we meant to in our writing and/or using ambiguous words which can be taken in more than one way.

I mean unless you're talking to yourself XD Regardless I think the message is pretty clear that unreasonable criticism or distaste towards a character needs to be held in check. Appearance is important but as long as the character functions well in the roleplay it becomes secondary. I think an apology is in order but I think we can all move on from this in a mature manner
