Something that's been bugging me for a while, and that I don't think has been talked about:
How big is the planet of Galbar? When I look at the current map, I can't help but think that its a pretty tiny world.
True, but since he's well out of the way, it'd be better to make our own. Whether that is done from scratch or evolving some of Slough's creations is up to whomever.
Would it be fair to assume that it would be easier to evolve a present species instead of making one from scratch? As in less power/might spent.
