So, I have been inspired to do a mafia syndicate RP centered in Las Vegas, Nevada. My source of inspiration deriving from The Sopranos and Saints Row~The Third.

The syndicate consists of 3 separate mafia families, I'm thinking perhaps one large Russian mafia organization and two more moderate sized Italian families. (Input and opinion on this are welcome.)

The syndicate headquarters will be a towering penthouse style casino.
The separate organizations themselves will also of course have their own personal business acumens and establishments.

Three private venues that immediately come to mind are a prostitution and human trafficking ring, a weapons and drug trafficking line, and money laundering and cyber heists maybe?
(Mind you this RP will be set in modern 2017.)

The primary conflict in the RP will be toppling the Syndicate.

The syndicate will be protagonistic AI/NPC(s) that only I will control, myself and perhaps my CO-GM should I have one.

Players will have the option of choosing from the following character classes;
-Private Investigator
-Detective
-Bounty Hunter
-Criminal (Drugrunner, Gangbanger, Hitman, Gun Runner, Pimp, Hustler, ect.)
(Input and opinions welcome.)

One question I have is as follows;
Should players be restricted to having their created character at their disposal, or should they be permitted to have/recruit a small-to-moderate crew or gang?

Oh, one more thing!
What should the mood or theme of this RP be?
Should it be grim and bleak like, say, "The Sopranos" with only spurts of happiness and positivity?
Or should it be like Saints Row or the early GTA games and have an almost comical amusing theme to it?

Hello and Welcome!

I, The Templar, seek a partner to RP one of the ideas below with me.

Before you scroll down to have a look at said ideas, please read that which is in the hider just below this sentence.

Hider

Although I recently joined this site, I have been text based Role Playing for 7 years(roughly) now.
I do anything from standard casual to low advanced RP'ing, meaning no one liners, nor amateurish bits are allowed in my RP's. I usually only RP with those like me who are capable of standard casual to low advanced.

Though I do occasionally step up my game and try at higher level advanced RP'ing.

While romance and minorly detailed sex scenes are allowed with me, no smut-XXX will do.
At all.
No emphasis please on what goes where and what's coming from what.

I also dinnae' like to be ghosted or copped out on, so don't start an RP with me unless you intend to see it through. No matter how long it has lasted.
Don't play along till you get bored and then ditch me.

While I do understand things happen and people sometimes have to go incognito for some time on end, don't say you'll be back online in 3 weeks and then I spot you posting away en masse in other RP's.

If you want to take a break, just tell me. I'm fine with that.
But please don't ditch me.

Also, I tend to treat my RP's like TV programs or a book series, meaning they will sometimes if large enough be split into chapters and-or acts.

I also keep them alive for as long as I can, constantly forming ideas and plots up to incorporate into the RP.

Needless to stay I like for my RP's to have long drawn tenures with well developed plots and story lines and relatable, intriguing, and unique main characters.

So then, now that that's all said, feast your eyes below at what I my brain craves to create with an ideal partner;

•An Original "The Walking Dead" RP ~ Two characters who cross paths during the initial outbreak and go on a long and desperate journey across the country to reach the family of one(my character) and the other character comes along for whatever reason. (We'll work on it.)

•A "Wild West" Assassins Creed ~ Set around the time of the Battle of Little Big Horn, the Templar Order has strong influence in the US Government and the Army and Calvary as well.
Using the push to the West and "manifest destiny" as a smoke screen to expand the Order's control, resources, and borders, the Templars are laying waste to Native American villages and lands and virtually raping the land of its valuables while strengthening their influence and span of control.

•A Modern Era Government Conspiracy RP ~ A shadowy group within the US Government is plotting to scheme, connive, and assassinate their way to the top of the government food chain.
With very few to stand against them, or even know they exist, a pair of government agents are tasked by a another group to see this black circle of corrupt individuals done away with in the long run, wether by arrests or death, they care not.

•An X-Men RP set during World War II ~ A pair of OSS agents whom are actually mutants are tasked with bringing down a branch of Axis power officials who are concocting a series of plots to sway the war in the Axis' favor.
