@sassy1085

Was worried for a bit that there was going to be nobody in for this. Any preference on setting?

"You look out there and see a horde of ravenous zombies. I look out there and see a big, fat paycheck."

You used to be normal, or some variety of it. Maybe you were a plumber, a cop, an office jockey, or even a hardened criminal. You figured the world was just as you saw it; Humans and governments doing as they would, while you just tried to live your life. Then you learned the truth; The supernatural was real. Every monster and horror you saw in movies, on television, read about it books, even heard your grandparents spin yarns about were very, very real. You survived though, and after a visit from the government to ensure that you didn't go spreading around the truth (and got a generous check for your work), you got a job offer from some very interesting people.

Monster Hunter International was hiring.

You've just graduated training camp and are ready to become full-fledged monster hunters. You know what's out there and, more importantly, how to fight it and win. You're a monster hunter now.

Evil looms.

Cowboy up.

Kill it.

Get paid.

And that is the gist of it, folks. You're brand new hunters in the world of Larry Correia's MHI series, ready to kick evil's ass and collect the fat PUFF (Perpetual Unearthly Forces Fund) checks. Werewolves, vampires, Eldritch cults, undead of all kinds and much, much more are waiting for you. I'm looking for a mid-sized group, 4 to 6, enough to form a solid team of professional hunters. All backgrounds are up for grabs.

1.) This is going to be a game with as much combat as story, most likely going in episodic fashion with periodic timeskips, but nothing too crazy.

2.) I am encouraging mostly normal Humans for the most part, though I am willing to accept practitioners of magic (keeping in mind this is a hard magic system, and a good portion of magic useful for combat is stuff that will affect sanity.) If you come with an extraordinary case, I will allow monsters with a PUFF-exemption (Note; Hard no on vampires and werewolves for lore reasons).

3.) Standard OOC conduct rules apply; Don't be a tool, and keep banter friendly.

4.) Any and all questions on particular monsters and lore can be asked here or in PM.

As for the physical setting itself, I got three options for y'all.

A.) New York City, 1990

B.) Arizona/Mexico, modern day.

C.) California, 1983.

Hope to hear from you fine folks soon!

Any interest in the Ferelden Noble x Elf Servant story?
I am intrigued. Is there a place for a good ol' boy Hell's Angel turned Caitiff?
@The WhackoThe United States died in the revolutionary period. Ben Franklin betrayed the states leading to it never succeeding. It never was a thing to begin with in Code Geass, and its the same in this universe. That's why modern America/Canada is the homeland for Britannia so that would be a no. Even if it was a thing this roleplay is specifically made to cater to the nobles of Britannia in a whole specific faction.

I recall that part, but I had an idea regarding this actually, if you're willing to indulge. Even if the revolution failed, surely there was still quite a bit of resentment toward the Britannians afterward, and that would only get worse when they moved their capital to the Americas. Small rebellions probably occurred and failed over the centuries, never having the leadership or the opportunity to make any real progress. Now thing with this brewing civil war, it might just be time for the folk in the South and parts of Central America to seize their chance. A second American Revolution, if you will, possibly with Japanese or European backing.

...is my idea at least. :P
