Macavity - Another Denver Street

Ugh, this kid was seeming to be a bit too much work for the thief. Sure, he has stolen priceless animals from some observatories and crime lords before, but taking care of some young kid was far beyond his knowledge. It is especially jarring when the human cargo also seems to have otherworldly powers that could cause some trouble at any instance. Macavity scratched his head as the young girl had stopped silently crying, yet another red flag with taking over a possibly unstable person. The thief was truly feeling that he should just ditch the girl before bringing too much trouble, but that act would just bring too much of a bad taste in his mouth knowing that the brutal Bratva would do to such a young human. Sighing to himself, Macavity's hand slid down the back of his neck to commence some stressful rubbing before noting the sort of compliance combined with a short threat. "No worries, this good deed shall not be tainted with some unruly behavior." Giving one good look at the mystery girl, Macavity soon turned around with his path heading towards the open streets of the populated city and out of the rather moldy backstreet alley. However, just before the two were about to leave the area, Macavity turned off his power allowing the two to reappear back into society and into the crowd.

Macavity turned around to see if the malnourished and sleep deprived girl was keeping up with the bustling crowd, and even though she tries to act tough it is rather obvious that she was not at her peak state to fight. "Keep close, hide your body in the crowd and try not to look around too much, I can't say for sure how large their influence is in this territory but the safe house isn't too far away from here," Macavity said, his casual business attire matching well within the busy district while the young girl's bright red tracksuit was somewhat of an oddity within these streets. Macavity just needed to make sure that any snoops wouldn't get too clear of evidence locking onto him, blanking himself and the girl within the busy street would cause too much disturbance in the crowd and possibly the young girl wouldn't have liked the fact that he blanked her without much of a word in the already bizarre situation. Though, the safe house still wasn't too far away from their location and would take a fair amount of more blocks.

Macavity and the mystery girl were starting to near the desired location, it was only when the girl broke the silence between the two by asking a few questions about their whereabouts, something that anyone would wonder if some stranger was leading them to some unknown area. The crowd had thinned a bit more, he was still wary about any people sneaking around them but he decided to answer the questions to provide some closure about following superpowered strangers. "Just a block or more away, and it's an apartment building that isn't too far away from the busy parts, but isn't in the heart of it as well. I just have these places to lay low for awhile, store some property away for safe keeping, you know regular stuff my profession requires," Macavity informed, continuing to walk towards their destination, "And you insult my honor in hidden hideouts as well? I have to keep my acquired property well hidden from prying eyes, I don't discriminate in my past time against the good and bad guys here, and that means that everyone wants a little piece of me." You could tell there was just a tint of pride within those last words, but as he finished turned to walk up some steps into a rather unassuming apartment building. It wasn't decadent with gilded gold fencing and bricks and it didn't look like some run-down, graffiti strewn ghetto area either, it was just rather drab gray in all terms speaking of the building. "C'mon, we are almost at our destination. I can assure you that as long as we don't loiter around the building any longer than the possibility of people hiding this place is almost zilch."

Arsenal - Another Another Denver Streets

Arsenal gave an inquisitive look towards the... Strangely dressed person and their little sales pitch. Once you say that it isn't a scam, it is almost one hundred percent some type of shady business or scam. However, Arsenal stood around for a bit longer with a sort of vague interest, the one called James seemed to have a knack at garnering attention as this man was the main reason of his complacency. His explanation about these "Jacks" was filled with an abundance of vague hints towards the criminal underground which slightly annoyed the young upstart. "So, simply put you guys are just a bunch of criminals that do bad things for money?" Arsenal bluntly stated, staring at the two ahead of him and giving a quick glance towards the burly man behind. This sort of business wasn't new to Bill, his father had dealings with people similar to these folk but this was the first time that he was personally chosen to join some nefarious group. "Well, can't say I really trust anyone of you right here, but I'll take a yander at this little proposition." Arsenal knew that this was his chance in getting both the resources for his upgrades if this holds true, but it wasn't like the cowboy had too much a choice due to the big mean guy breathing down his neck with two strange people blocking most escape attempts.

As Kritch dove his blade into the skull of the guardsman, he felt the blood of the wound splatter onto his face before the entire body of the guard feel unconscious from the sudden attack. The rat jumped off the body before it could slam onto the hard floor, blood stained his body and blade, and the smell of the intoxicating blood suddenly assaulted Kritch. He shuddered at the sudden pleasure before his stomach growled heavily as his eyes caught sight of the fallen body in front of him. The meat, it must be so succulent under that nasty armor, the texture, the blood would quench his thirst as well... It was starting to look irresistible. It did look quite delicious in his eyes, as Kritch started to move towards the body, those sharp fangs ready to rip through the armor to get into the juicy meat bits. However, before the rat could partake in some fresh flesh, his patched hairs raised up again as something very powerful had joined in the fray of the fight. The sudden feeling of fright spooked Kritch out of his glossy eyed hunger, he squeaked in fear before retreating back into the vents through his smoke form out of just pure instinct.

Kritch found himself back in the stuffy vents, covered in blood, and realized just how close his hunger had gotten to him. It had been awhile since he had murdered someone, and it had been some time smelling fresh blood that he had almost broke his vows. He looked at his blood soaked dagger before cleaning it with the rags around his body, the sudden euphoria had blinded the rat, but now the smell of blood even though delicious would not trick Kritch once again. So, after Kritch recuperated after the little fight, he reached towards his data-slab for now the rat knew his location now! Fiddling with the controls, Kritch found himself at the map screen before scanning the direct route to the lizard-thing. Now confident in his ability to find his path, Kritch put away the data-slab before scurrying along the vents in a faster pace as Kritch didn't want the fight with that monster to last long with the group as that would constitute Kritch to be all alone in the prison if they all fail to survive the battle with the monster!
Character Name: Ingrim Nesfit

Race: Gnome

Gender: Male

Age: 63

Appearance: Reaching to the prime height of his race, Ingrim reaches to the skies with his 3'6" little body. Plain and simple, he is short, but what else can you expect from this race? An older gnome, Ingrim was born with short snow white hair with a glorious handlebar mustache to signify his rather strange appearance as his clothing resemble that of a ring master from a circus. Yep, tail coat and the top hat included, Ingrim also carries around a spell imbued walking cane and metallic gauntlet with his generally black and red, golden trimmed clothing.

Personality and Motivations: He is weird, I'm just going to say right now that this character is just plain strange and rather awkward to be around when he speaks to anyone. He generally acts like a ring master, pompous, boisterous, and generally an attention hog. Ingrim, while sounding and most likely being a huge bother to everyone around him is quite kind as well. He likes putting on a show with his many creations, but he does it to help others around him... Generally. In the end, he is eccentric and possibly insane, but has a somewhat golden heart within that tiny body. Also, his motivation to enter this little dungeon crawl is to gather more resources and gold to create more magical objects, and old decrepit dungeons always has stuff to raid and loot for adventurers!

Class and Alignment: Neutral Artificer

History: Ingrim is a wandering adventurer, himself and his constructs roam the lands to entertain, fight, and gain money in the process. Gnomes have always had a knack for being rather playful and curious to boot which make adventuring wanderlust gnomes quite common in the line of business. Ingrim wasn't too different from the average gnome, but his affinity to magical construction raised a few eyebrows. The gnome focused more on constructing other beings to fight for him rather than his own body as getting hit with blunt and sharp weapons tend to kill people. It was only until a wandering circus had set up near his town that finally gave him the last push to finalize his plans of leaving his town to adventure, and that encounter has influenced some things about him.

So, he left and is now on the road with his constructs acting almost like a wandering circus... A wondering circus that can murder you with their dangerous weapons, but if you are a nice person they won't murder you. Generally, he just makes money off strangers preforming and doing quest to further expand his little menagerie of magical constructs to bring more fun to the world and also more power to defend and attack other people.

Equipment:
On person:
  • Magical Cane - A short walking cane with a blue orb on the top which can fire out a Cone of Cold, can be fired three times a day and recharges at night.
  • Magical Gauntlet - A metal gauntlet that is imbued with Dragon's Breath which fires out a cone of fire, can be fired three times a day and recharges at night.
  • Bag - Assorted magical concoctions, empty scrolls, and basic survival equipment including a small journal and some ink.
  • Crossbow - Just a crossbow, nothing too awe inspiring but a decent long ranged weapon that can do some damage.

Constructs
  • Zip Zap - A metal dog reaching to the height of two feet is comprised of iron with their jaws lined with serrated blades of steel. Imbued with magic for their bites to send a powerful shock through the body.
  • Match Stick - A metal dog reaching to the height of two feet is comprised of iron with their jaws lined with serrated blades of steel. Imbued with magic for their bites to burst in flames on contact.
  • Pupsicle - A metal dog reaching to the height of two feet is comprised of iron with their jaws lined with serrated blades of steel. Imbued with magic for their bites to freeze the area on contact.
  • Cross - A walking crossbow, this tiny construct is perched on the shoulder of the Ingrim that carries twenty bolts and fires at anything the master says so.
  • Bow - A walking crossbow, this tiny construct is perched on the shoulder of the Ingrim that carries twenty bolts and fires at anything the master says so.
  • Pack-Man - A walking chest with arms, this rather unsightly creation has several compartments to store a fair amount of objects, but it excels in supporting roles as it can forcibly remove objects by the owners will. This includes extra ammo, potions, and even stored weapons that scurries along the battlefield.
  • Smokey The Thief - An 18 inch humanoid shadow, this little thing isn't meant for combat but for sneaking in the background to steal from unsuspecting enemies. They are fast, tiny, and can move almost undetectable in the darkness with a knack for stealing without anyone the wiser.

Skills and Spells: Nothing magical going on here, sure he can create magical items but no magic here. Nope. Well, he can create magical items... So I would actually say lots of potential spells that can be imbued in objects but nothing of the sort at the moment.

Miscellaneous:

Kritch had been silently cursing at the guard for the past few seconds, that guard smugly standing in the middle of the hall, being all suspicious of the area... That was his job! Kritch skulked from his tiny eye hole, afraid that on the off chance the guard spotting his little peeping hole. Back within the darkness, the rat tried to formulate a plan to get rid of that stupid guard, Kritch knew he couldn't leave this hallway as the lizard-thing's cell was most likely in general area and the increase of guards that Kritch had last seen were most likely heading towards the stupid loud group somewhere wreaking havoc in the facility. The hidden rat thought with his tiny brain, he couldn't outright fight him as it might cause attention to the lone agent, but any possible chance of sneaking would be too obvious in the brightly lit hallway! What to do... What to do! The cautious rat just had to wait... Kritch was too scared for his own good and now had to rely on the stupid group to make another devastating attack in the facility, but the stupid group was very stupid so explosions were only inevitable between the large stupid men. Kritch's feet silently scuttled a few few away from the original hole, yet again carefully creating another small hole within the vents. However, this was not for looking but for sneaking around the guard when the time is right!

Kritch clasped his two malformed hands once again, those eyes of his twitching around the dark vents waiting for something rather distracting from the large stupid loud group. The rat continued to wait for his opportune chance for the quick drop on the guard, and suddenly the patchy hair across back stood straight up for just a moment... Stupid group was about to do something stupid. Muttering to himself once again inside the vent this time, Kritch was preparing his spell once again to sneak through that hole and straight into the guard for a stealthy incapacitate. Just at the right time, his primal instincts never telling him wrong, a large explosion shook the building once again just as Kritch pronounced his little squeak at the end before exploding into a dark cloud of smoke. The lights shook around, for a small moment flickering on and off as the smokey form escaped at a blurring speed out of the tiny hole behind the guard. Rushing at the most likely startled guard, Kritch's smokey form rushed at the lone man, surrounding him in the dark smoke before re-materializing right above his shoulders and with his paralyzing blade aimed to jam straight into the guard's head! This supposed fatal blow won't kill the stupid guard, but it sure will incapacitate him if the blade manages to land in that soft little brain.
That doesn't matter much, we are all in one big melting pot of a city with all these magical guilds around so I think now would be an opportune time to meet other mages from other guilds before interacting with mainly Frenzy Plant after the event soon ends.
@Lunarlors34 @Roseletta
We all have characters that are open at the moment, I believe that we can work something out between the three of us.
So, I'm in similar situation with the whole not knowing who to interact with in Crocus, would anyone be willing to talk with Flint?
It was pretty dark within the maze of enclosed metal, but it didn't matter too much as Kritch's all seeing eyes had been accustomed to the darkness well enough for him to see almost 60 feet in pure darkness! However, it didn't matter much as his knowledge on the path way of the yet to be rescued prisoner was quite limited. Sure, he could've scouted out the prison more with the other two criminals to get a better layout in his mind, but it was in his best interest to stay away from anyone that could kill him... And that would be everyone in this damn place. He was quite far away from both teams at the moment, scurrying along the metal floor, but could still hear some faint fighting in the background echoing through the vents. The group that he had left shortly was silent... For now, but Kritch could only imagine what that gas-thing could be doing at the moment without his supervision. Kritch shuddered at the thought of that thing touching his skin with those corrosive hands, though he continued along the vents with just a general idea of his location and pathing to the lizard-thing's cell.

Stopping in his tracks after a minute of running around this dark maze, Kritch pulled out the dataslab once again from his clothes with the bright light shined on his rather ugly face. He started to tap on the device carefully with those deadly claws before finding himself at the map once again, the rat studied the layout of the prison, calculating the general path that he had taken and the various cells surrounding the lizard-thing. Kritch looked back down at the metal floor with a dire question within his mind, judging if this would actually lead him to his intended destination. He wondered the possibility of stumbling upon a highly dangerous criminal in one of these cells or finding himself surrounded by guards due to the entire force mobilizing from his rather idiotic and violent teammates. Kritch didn't want that to happen as meeting those situations would make his life end in an untimely manner. So, carefully sliding out his knife from the worn-out sheathe, he stabbed at the vent gently creating a tiny hole within the bottom for his tiny eye to peek through without revealing his presence. The light emanating from the eye hole was shining brightly into the dark vents, Kritch squinted at the bright light for a few moments before his all-seeing eye was placed against the tiny hole and rapidly scanned the area that the eye hole could possibly show to the cautious rat.
Kritch had edged away from Grog just a bit further away when it came for his time to shine, insults were being slung at the prison to cause for a distraction for the group but soon things started to get a bit out of hand. Aside from the profanity spewing Deprave, the actions caused from the belligerent drunk caused for quite a scene that would garner almost all attention upon his actions. Musky explosions soon filled up the sky above, Deprave and Johnathan were also adding to the mix of distractions, but their voices were overwhelmed by the intensity of the spectacle. Kritch believed such insane actions could only be done by his plagued brothers, but it seemed that even their craziness was overshadowed by just the sheer amount of stupidity that radiated from that man. However, even though the actions done by Grog were horrendously dangerous and stupid, it gave the sneakier people an ample amount of time to infiltrate the prison. Though it seemed that two untrustworthy people were going to join him in this mission, one useless cripple and the other a strange creature made out of something deadlier than any decomposing body of the plagued rats. He couldn't trust these two at all.

The rat soon scurried in the shadows of the light show ahead, reaching the gaping hole that Villiam had created in no time, but the thought of Villiam corroding away solid concrete just insured that that thing shall never even walk behind him. The creature had arrived as well, the useless weight, but if the child wanted to waste their life it would be one less creature to worry about in this landscape. "Child-thing and gas-thing go move search ahead, I sneak creep faster alone." Kritch said, clasping his two malformed hands together as he muttered a few words to himself. Kritch squeaked at the end of his mumbling, his body soon exploding into a cloud of black smoke, and the dark particles wasting no time as it zoomed into the nearest ventilation shaft at immense speed.

Reforming inside the vent, Kritch reached into his tattered clothes and pulled out the strange device that the prideful barkeep had given to the grungy rat. Fiddling with the object for a few moments, following the basic instructions given by the human, the screen brightened and showed the map of the facility with the location of the target. Kritch's beady red eyes scanned over the bright screen for a few seconds before storing it back to his clothes that actually had no pockets. The rat stretched his grotesque muscles for a few moments before silently skittering along the vents of the facility, following the path of the vents in his mind to lead him to the lizard-thing's cell.
