Jonah understands that his seemingly foolproof speech didn't say what he meant in the way he wanted to. Not thinking much about what he says, he tries again to explain what he wants to do.

"I won't leave alone, basically unarmed, unready, and with nowhere to go back. Aren't we all hungry, thirsty, tired, and afraid? Don't we live in a world where we can lose everything in a flash? Don't you want to make it better? Please, we need each other! You won't survive on your own... even if you'd want to. Because a life on your own, is a life without friends, love, or goals. That shouldn't even count as a life. If you have hope, want to survive, or fear loneliness, you don't live on your own. Am I a maniac? What's the madness in hope, that everyone else has given up completely?"

Jonah made it clear that he feared a hopeless world. He silently smiled at the group, hoping that they'd understand him better.

"Do you have hope? If not, what do you live for?"
"Excuse me!"

Jonah made sure that his first two words were loud and clear. He corrected his posture, standing straight up, then took slow steps towards the group. The air was silent for a few seconds, before Jonah knew precisely what to say. Now, he concentrated intensely on speaking. He stared blankly at the group, using all his mind to focus on the task.

"My name is Jonah Smith, and I'm not quite sick of the new world yet. I want you to know that I want nothing more than to explore this brave new world, see all that it has to offer, and return to the old world we loved so much. But there are many tings standing in my way, in our way. We have to think of the future, and I can see that it's great. Because, we humans will stay together, support each other, explore our world, and go from being powerless bugs to becoming rulers of the earth! Certainly, that will happen if you want it to! We can win over this terrible world!"

Jonah relaxed his view. He caught his breath, looking at everyone, and waited for the response. I won't be able to take them, but they're armed and uncomfortable. If this goes poorly, I think I'll be able to kill them with minimal damage to myself.
Jonah took quick steps towards the duo by the strangely well-maintained house. Quietly and quickly, he came close enough to overhear a conversation. The duo he could see were talking to someone inside, and Jonah wasn't rude enough to disturb the conversation. Someone more cultured might shoot him for jumping in! Although he was incredibly hungry and thirsty, he still wouldn't let the end of the world get him down. And as he saw a fantastic opportunity to get more food and water, he waited with patience, knowing that it was too early to ask them for assistance.

Even in a calm moment, Jonah concentrated intensely, thinking about what his next steps would be. To begin with, he'd need to attempt negotiation with those inside after those waiting to get in entered. It would mean that he would explain, very bluntly, how much he trusted those inside, how independent he would be of their assistance, and finally how great of a contributor he would make to the emerging group. Suddenly, after hearing the sound of shuffling behind him, Jonah span around, seeing yet another one of the awful creatures that roamed the earth. Like he quickly planned, knocking the poorly balanced creature to the ground before smashing it with his thick, leather boots went quickly, but the sound of a skull getting crushed was quite a bit louder in this instance than it usually is. He quickly looked at those waiting outside, hoping that they didn't notice him eavesdropping. His mind was blank.

Name: Jonah Smith

Personality: Nervous, detached, eccentric

Physical Appearance: Jonah Smith looks like a weakling. He has pale skin, bags under his eyes, and little in terms of muscles. He has green eyes, together with black, curly hair. Although he has little muscle, he is quite well toned, considering how poorly he's eaten his entire life.

Family: Jonah Smith lives far away from his family, consisting of four cousins, two uncles, two aunts, two nephews and a niece. His parents died immediately after the zombies started to attack, and he doesn't mind the loneliness much. They live far away from him, in a house far away from civilization, hundreds of miles away.

History: Jonah Smith was always tired of his ordinary life, and the end of the world was a pleasant surprise in a lot of ways. In the beginning, he felt that life in a world without rules was far more fun and free, but it didn't take long before he started to understand that this new world would test him every moment of every day. Even after many others died during his two years in the new world, he still sees it as a fantastic adventure.

Skills: Jonah has an encyclopedic knowledge, gathered from thousands of hours of perusing Wikipedia. Because he's so used to doing more intellectual tasks, Jonah has developed a sort of mastery of planning, where he invents plans in moments. He never enters a situation without knowing precisely what he will do, although it also means that he can barely move in cases where he doesn't know what to do. This extends to battle strategy and speeches. Finally, Jonah knows quite a bit about philosophy and religion from what he's read, and he's also a very philosophical person, who understands people.

Gear: Jonah has a roomy polymer backpack, together with a reinforced long-sleeve shirt and loose jeans. He wears a pair of thick and solid leather boots, together with three layers of socks. In his backpack, he has 3 different pocket knives, together with a cast-iron pan from his parents.

Goal: Jonah wants to have a safe place to return to, where he'll have a nice meal, sleep on a comfortable bed, and wake up next to the girl of his dreams. He also wants to help people return to their old lives, and rebuild the world.
This OOC is on fire! But I can't stop thinking about the IC...
When will... Stuff happen? The IC begin, or me getting my character sheet accepted or not.
Appearance:

A short, slim and fit lady, with short, simple and practical black hair, Amy is a healthy person, rather than an obsessive body builder. She has small hands and feet, clearly someone with great dexterity, and clearly someone incredibly energetic from her unendingly fiddling fingers.

Her face has a large mouth with a small nose, and her eyes are a quite unusual shade of very dark green. Because she's so vain, Amy insisted on staying attractively plump throughout the apocalypse, and she hides the fact that she's gone many days without eating very well by wearing clothes that maker her look fatter than she truly is.

Amy is currently dressed in a wildly impractical, yet gorgeous looking purple dress. She keeps a more practical set of clothes in her backpack, in the form of an incredibly solid, simple black shirt and a matching pair of perfectly fitting pants. Amy made the clothes herself, though it'd be hard to tell, and they're kept in great condition because of her tailoring skills.

Name: Amy Emmerson

Age: 23

Noteworthy skills:
- Tailoring, after being forced to help feed her family from a young age.
- Cooking; she's been forced to make a lot more food from scratch, and she'd often make food for other people as well.
- Charm; Amy is good at acting likable, and she looks good, too.

Weapons: An incredibly expensive chef's knife, and an incredibly sharp titanium needle.

Personality:

Amy is incredibly sheltered, extremely confident, very polite, and above all, fearlessly optimistic. She's seen people die, the hatred in men's hearts and how destructive people truly can be when driven to desperation, but nonetheless believes that people are fundamentally good. To this end, she's friendly, outgoing and helpful, and does her best to build what she believes is a better world for everyone involved. She also works hard to remain happy, doing her best to keep a smile going. She's had some truly great moments in her life, and has felt true happiness.

History:

Amy Emmerson was born into an ordinary middle-class family, and vowed from an early age to be the best she could be. When the moved across the country, unexpected medical fees meant that they lost almost everything they had and were made homeless for a while. In their desperation after being neglected by the system, they decided to make Amy work from the age of eleven in a sweatshop, making textiles. Although they quickly recovered from their economic troubles, Amy found out that she found her first job quite interesting and had tailoring as a sort of hobby from a very young age, before quickly getting a job as a tailor and finding out that she was extraordinarily talented. Her parents died when she was 20, but in her mind, they wouldn't want her sad and mourning over their deaths, so she quickly recovered.

When the Fall begun, Amy faced a series of "miracles" that meant that meant that she would barely be exposed to the devastation that would follow. By convincing other groups to help her, Amy didn't go many nights hungry, and she managed to mostly avoid direct confrontations with zombies. She eventually decided to travel West, hoping to help the return of mankind by taking back the country, from east to west, and finally returning her beloved homeland that raised her so well. Kansas was along the way, and that's where her luck finally ran out; people stopped helping her, she looted less and less, and zombies kept growing ever more abundant. Understanding how powerless she was on her own, Amy found the airport, and managed to convince Kenzie to be let inside. Her charm and good manners meant that she quickly integrated into the community, and since, she's made Billings Municipal Airport a more pleasant place to live ever since she first moved in a few months ago.
I'm slightly late, uncertain about my char sheet, and feeling like there's a few things to critique. And this is a very awkward post for those reasons, so I'll end it by saying:

Hi everyone! This looks like my kind of RP, and I'm gonna post a char sheet right away!
After the short teaching session, Tom offhandedly asks you why you were in the forest alone. You can tell that he's worried, and that he expects a good answer.
Tom decides to start by explaining a few elementary things: still water isn't usually clean, raw meat can cause food poisoning, campfires are critical and you need to sleep. Smoke rises, all rivers end, coldness can kill you. Although these are simple things, they become an incredible challenge to think of when you're hungry, lonely, desperate and afraid. He also teaches you how to light a fire with sticks, and how to move quietly. You quickly find out that using a bow and arrow is way out of your reach, as it requires a raw strength that being a coddled priestess quite simply doesn't give you.
