I've always been more of a crack of noon guy" Johnny asked, not trying to be disrespectful, he'd seen where that would get him, at least where Fire was concerned, np, he intended it to sound more like a request, and less of a demand. Of course, correct tone is a hard thing to convey when you are half staring at a table filled with among the most delicious looking food one can imagine.

Times Have Changed, Camp Doesn't

Oscar turned as he heard the kid introduce himself, taking his hand, Oscar said "Oscar, and the back at chya Adam" Oscar intoned as he sized Adam up, he had the look of someone who was strong, but had worked to get there. "I think i've seen you around, but we've never actually been introduced, you're the Snow Goddess's kid, right? The Staff Fighter?" Oscar asked, noting the lack of familial introduction, it's not that that was uncommon around camp, it was just something that Oscar tucked away for possible future reference. Oscar suddenly re-noticed the new campers just hanging out and chuckled inwardly as they all looked around totally awkward, totally afraid to tell the others about the weirdness that was going on in their lives, whatever it was.

After Sage confirmed his own identity Oscar nodded sagely, and his next question just kind of blurted itself out, not that he didn't have restraint, which was part of what perplexed him so much about it, it just presented itself, without any sort of warning or anything Oscar inquired "So what have we got here? All unclaimed thus far or a couple minor? maybe a few majors?" Oscar chuckled at the strange straightforwardness of the lingo of the camp even as he spoke, minors being sons or daughters of minor gods and goddesses, and majors being sons and daughters of one of the 13 big houses. Generally new campers were unclaimed, or so had been Oscar's experience thus far.

"Fair enough" Puddleheart mewed at the small cat next to her, laying down next to her apprentice and watching as the camp moved, but its movements were different than she was used to, more the movements she had become accustomed to, slow, filled with sadness, but there remained the hint of the famous Hollyclan hope, she watched from outside her 'den', as Sparrowstar approached, looking nervous. "Bet your next mouse he's got a question for me?" Puddleheart jokingly said in the direction of her apprentice.

The silence that filled the air was tangible, Johnny had to stop himself from taking his pocket knife and cutting himself a piece of it, at least it would fill his belly metaphorically, but they were all hungry, that's just how it was, they would have to wait here he supposed until the sixth arrived, Johnny wondered who it could be, what they would be like, if they were anything like these others he didn't doubt that his time at this 'academy' would be anything but boring. He began to rub his hands together, and then blew on them, causing a small ball of fire to head from his palms for a pile of dead leaves as he sat down next to them, watching the action.

"That actually brings up a question I've had for awhile, where is here, and why is there A GIANT CASTLE?"

Johnny gave the man a fierce stare through sunglassed eyes, perhaps that somewhat ruined it, but somewhere, deep down, Johnny felt that perhaps here wasn't the place to assert his dominance, sure he was lonely, but as the man calmly spoke to him Johnny got the idea that he had somehow come very close to awakening some kind of primordial beast. Johnny followed the strange man as he led him deeper into the woods, laughing with the large man as he did, suddenly falling into bewilderment by the castle as he approached it Johnny's draw dropped, but only internally, externally he took a deep breath and stared at the magnificence of the thing.

"Johnny" He said by way of introdction after regaining his composure and turning to the others gathered there, holding his hand out to no one in particular.

Johnny eyed the man for the what seemed to Johnny to be the world's slowest moments, deciding whether to take this man up on his offer or not, he did not like strangers particularly well but there was something inside of him that was yearning to take up this mans offer, a sense of adventure Johnny chalked it up to, as he kicked dirt onto the fire and slung his backpack over his shoulder, sticking his hands in his pockets as he did, walking towards the man. Fire stood at least a head taller than Johnny, who had been somewhat short his entire life, but he was sinewy, filled to the brim with small rolling muscle under his dark tanned skin. Clenching his jaw, Johnny stuck at Fire, knocking the man over, and then stuck his hand into his pockets "Yes I wanna learn magic, we going or what?" Johnny asked as he leaned against the same tree the man had seconds earlier

Johnny was sitting on a log beside a campfire, he raised an eyebrow at Fire as the being approached, Johnny's own dark brown hair flickering by the light of the campfire Johnny had made, he looked the strange man up and down and raised an eyebrow from his position on the log, he pointed to a piece of paper that was quickly being burnt to cinders by the fairly large fire in front of Johnny "You wrote that? You're Fire I take it?" Johnny scanned the man one more time, after running over Fire's words in his mind one more time
