"Forgive me if I don't give up on the mission before we even have a mission," Rao said. His eyes were still closed, and he was relaxed, as if he didn't care about anything happening around him. He let out a yawn.
Only definition that matters to Rao is his own.
Eh, Rao isn't rebellious out of habit. He just has this thing about doing the right thing, regardless of his orders.
First successful pun less than thirty posts in. Hooah.
Rao shrugged. "Axe the friendly chatter, got it," he said, though he grinned. He closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair; no reason he couldn't enjoy a quick cat nap.
"Sit down and shut up. Should be loads of fun." Shrugging, Rao strolled over to an available chair and slid into it. He noticed Syra and nodded to her. " 'Lo, love."
Tucking a stray strand of hair behind his ear, Rao opened the door and walked into the room. He glanced around at the people in the room. Calling them eclectic would be generous. The mage slipped his hands into his pockets. "This is the Excalibur thing, right?" he asked, clearly skeptical. His voice was a clear baritone, warm but strong. "Do I have the right place?"
The connections between families always make things fun. History is what makes intrigue, well, intriguing.
Sounds like something worth doing to me. The richer the character's history, the better, I always say. Gives them a depth that you just can't find any other way.
I like how our group is made up almost entirely of rebellious people. After they give us our first orders, we'll just leave and make our own group to spite them.
