As much as Nyx appreciated the free rooms, after a night like this the only place she wanted to be was close to Balto. Over the years they had spent many winter nights alone with no shelter, but being able to keep him in a stable was a luxury. She said her good nights to Caspian before making her way out and finding her shakened horse who was just as happy to see her. She spent some time grooming his long fur around his hooves as well as his long hair around his neck before making a small pallet against him and falling asleep.

Once she woke, she stretched and quickly began to pack her things back up while saddling Balto as well as covering him in layers of blankets while leaving one for herself to wrap up in during today's journey. She fed him a few more boysenberries and nuzzled his nose sweetly before grooming herself. She pulled her hair from her bun and brushed out the long silver locks that met to her waist. She twisted up both sides of her hair, and then braided it all to one side so the long silver braid laid against her shoulder and down her side. The put on her warmest pairs of socks, and then her fluffy high boots under her dress but left the rest of her coverings with Balto.

She blew warm air in to her hands and she hurried in to the building that the men were discussing about as they began to clean and repair the side of the inn. She was happy that the inn would be fixed. She tried to stay out of their way and made her way to the table their commander was sitting and pulled up a chair next to him naturally. Her eyes were still filled with sleep which she rubbed and yawned quietly. She turned and gave a lazy smile and bowed with her head to Aldred before cupping her chin in her hands while the Inn owner walked in as well.

Nyx reached and grabbed on of the vials as she laid them out and made sure to mutter a thank you as the rest soon began to take one as well. She saw Caspian sitting at the bar, already on his drinking in the morning. She had already become comfortable in her spot but felt that it would be rude to not say good morning, but she was going to make an effort to meet everyone. She walked up to Emilia and curtsied politely. "Hello Emilia, my name is Nyx. I'm.. " She hesitated, not really knowing what would make more sense in her position. "I'm a mage, I believe." It was funny to hear someone be uncertain but could you really call yourself something that you have no idea how to control. She smiled anyways.
I will post soon as well. (:
Awh but its so early to start shipping. >.< though I do ship Nyx and Caspian a little bit. :3
Bump
That's such a small detail to remember.
Oh is he? When did that happen? :o

I'll fix it. >.<

Actually, I don't know how to fix it since he's mentioned in a couple different posts. .-. So just ignore it? :3

She laughed lightly at his humor and turned to him playfully, "I believe a pirate conversing with a elf is far more of a fairy tale." She stopped abruptly, that usually wasn't something a human wanted to joke about. Let a lone a human being a pirate probably wants nothing to do with her nature, and if she planned to make this team thing work she is going to have to watch herself from now on. "Sorry, I'm not very good at holding my tongue. Count on me to be foolish." She tried to joke back, hoping she hadn't already ruined the friendship she was trying to build.

She looked back down at her drink and took a small swig and then trembled away the horrible taste. "I think I'll stick to that buttered rum." She looked up at the bartender and hadn't realized the look on his face until then, he looked defeated and upset yet still dedicated to his work. He mus have worked there for years, and to see such a home destroyed must be hard on him. She wanted to tell him he could stop, but the look on his face seemed that he this was more of a distraction for him. She pulled one of the remaining stools up and sat breathed heavily. "So, I'm guessing those things are the reason we are here."
The kids practically stopped in their treads as Ramiel spoke. He was right, it was irrational to just run away but Ada couldn’t help but get a small kick to her stomach after the thought of returning to her grandmother’s home. She didn’t want her family to know ever, magic was just too much in our family and wasn’t ever accepted. She didn’t know what she would do if she lost her brothers and sisters, but right now wasn’t the time to decide on what she’ll sacrifice first.

Every time Adamaris looked up at the group, plenty of girls turned to give the new boy some glances. She couldn’t understand why this bothered her for some reason, she felt nothing towards Rimiel romantically but every time a girl would lift her eyes towards his she felt a twinge in her side. Her hand reached out to grab his hand but quickly pulled away in panic. ‘Okay, calm down weirdo.’ She squealed at herself. She tried to separate from him by walking a few paces faster but before she knew it they were right next to each other again.

Finally the tour stopped and the students waited for the bus to arrive. Alizah and Adamaris began their small discussion on what they should do. “He’s right, we can’t just leave everything now. Plus, I have other things to take care of.” Ada shook her head agreement.

“I have two brothers and three other sisters. They are all younger than me, and normal..” Alizah cocked her head to the side but her facial expression made her look offended.

“Why do you keep saying that?” Ada sat up straight on the small bench they had found while the boys lingered near. Ada could always tell where Ramiel was, not in a creepy step for step way but she could turn her head in the his direction at any moment and he’d be there. Adamaris concentrated on what she could remember or what simply feels natural at the time being. “You okay?” She asked the spaced out Ada.

“It’s just weird that he feels so.. familiar yet nothing about magic does. I don’t feel anything.” Before Alizah could say anything else a few girls walked up to Ada and Alizah and began to ask their absurd questions. Adamaris’s jaw dropped as the girls tried to score at a guy she had just met but at the same time, it’s not like they would have known that. “That’s Rimiel.. We’re just friends.” She slowly said as the two didn’t even listen to anything she had said.

“Oh dude, he’s single! Okay thanks!” The girls mingled their way over to him to try to get their chance as the bus arrived. Chase made his way over to the group and stayed close to sit near the girls while Adamaris waited for Rimiel to join them. Alizah and Chase sat together while Ada had sat herself on the inside of Rimiel even though the girls who had tried to talk to him were in the same row on the other side.

“I don’t have any other classes today, if you don’t mind. I’d like to talk some more…” Adamaris was nervous as she leaned in slightly to talk to Rimiel without the rest of the group listening in.
Nyx tried her best to keep calm, and try to keep the people of the town off the streets and in their homes but the longer the battle partook the harder it became. She finally gave up and forced herself towards the warzone but the closer she came the harder she shook. She pulled out her bow and tried to fumble a arrow in to place, her breathing was too heavy and her head was too light for her to keep a straight aim. She pulled back and released, watching the arrow shoot straight up in to the night's mist. She hissed under her teeth and put the bow back and searched for her daggers but she had left them in her night bag inside the ruined tavern. She was useless at this moment, while everyone had some productive way to intervene in the fight.

Before her mind could withstand the destruction these things had caused the last beast fell to it's knees and the entire place came to a still. The snow was gently coating everyone as they tried to recover from the last moments. Strangers had come together so fluently that she could only stand in awe from her perspectives. A strong feeling in her gut twisted, she didn't belong here. It didn't matter whether she did or not, she was here and she was going to learn how to fight or die trying if that's what it came down to. She climbed down from Balto and walked him to the stables once more, leaving his reign untied from the post. She didn't know whether to use the door or the large hole in the wall but made it inside either way. Everyone looked tired but proud of their victory. Nyx searched for her bag and placed it over her shoulder while stepping through the rubble.

She didn't look at anybody and walked straight back to the bar, she was scared they were all going to ask her where she was during the fight, and how come she didn't put forth in the battle. She looked back to watch the woman Sipley walk in with blood marking running from her hair, Nyx quickly took her eyes off her and looked down at the drink in front of Caspian. "Whatever that is, I want it." The bartender's eyes widened, the girl who had come in with no experience with alcohol was asking for Gin, not like she knew the difference. He poured the small glass and passed it to her which she quickly took a sip of. Her face screwed together as the burn hit her throat. "That's disgusting.." She huffed out, a fluttering feeling hit her as she turned to look at the group once more. "You know, you guys looked like knights you'd hear about in stories." She whispered to Caspian as she watched everyone settle back in to the ruined tavern as if it was home.
