Gearing up to get started with one or two new threads!

Bio

As a role player, I like to play my characters in a way that enthralls others. If I can make people care about my character and what happens to him/her, then I feel I have succeeded. My play style is very much about having fun, but its also about challenging others to make choices and grow their characters.

I am a military member without many ways to outlet the stress of life, so I come to role playing to get away and get lost in the worlds we create. I love to write and I have been doing it for years. I'm not afraid to hop into a super serious, super in-depth thread, nor am I afraid to take part in your typical high school RP. If it interests me, I want to jump in and start driving the story.

@shylarahTsitua took the glass and set it in front of him to be consumed later. He was focusing on Amune's chakra heart. He could "see" the chakras of others by using his own, even reaching out and connecting to them at times. There was a vague barrier, probably mimicking her mental defenses without her knowing, and behind that was a rather chaotic chakra flow. It began to settle as she paced, but the hybrid could tell what different patterns meant. She wanted to fight, to hit something. He wasn't sure if it was rage or some calming technique, but there was fight in her. He liked that.

"Did you know that a powerful Seer can explore a multitude of options for any given outcome. They can literally See all possible outcomes in an instant. Some Seers can even see with such detail and distance in time that they can turn the tide of an entire war with a single action. My point here is that everything Nunque does is for a reason. He may be crazy, but he's not stupid. He probed you for a reason, hell, he had me bring you here for a reason." He stood up and knocked his drink back. "You recognized me back there. When I first approached you. You have Seen me at some point, and so you are reluctant to trust me because you can't possibly know if I am worthy of that trust. Am I wrong?" He didn't give her time to answer, he knew the answer. Tilting his head forward and giving her a serious, almost dark look. "I have a rage demon aboard as part of my crew. I have an angel, three perceptive chakra users, a mathematical genius, and I personally have taken on Kabuto alone and won." He let that sink in, "If we were planning something, we would have done it already, and there's nothing that you could have done about it. You are aboard this ship because somewhere in that defensive heart of yours, you know that we will help you. You know that whatever Nunque did could not be stopped by anyone. And I know that when you passed by his room you suddenly felt strange. Did you not get a sudden bad feeling coupled with vague visions of terrible things that didn't happen? And how could I, a half-demon possibly know what you are experiencing?" Tears began to stream down his face from a deep rooted pain, she looked so much like her, "Because my daughter had the same power as you."

When a Seer encounters a person capable of opening their mind, a simple touch could give them insight. Tsitua could connect through chakra, eliminating the need for touch. The idea was that he would allow her to see things in a completely non-invasive way. He was using this tactic because Nunque had been sending him vibes without his knowledge. The vibes were so subtle that they were completely undetectable.

The partially unraveled state combined with Tsitua's open mind flashed non-invasive visions across Amune's Sight of Zeela, his Daughter. She and Amuné looked very much alike in a lot of ways to the trained eye.

One vision held steady, being that it held great emotional trauma. Zeela had been overcome by her Sight and was becoming corrupted after capture by Kabuto. She was covered in black, organic matter that adhered her to a stone wall covered in captivity runes. "There's noting I can do..." Lya said in the vision, "She's going to suffer like this forever.." her voice was Kaiden with dark reality.

"No." Tsitua choked out in the vision. His entire being overcome with sadness and pain. The emotions wouldn't be forced onto Amuné, due to the nature of the vision, but they would be clear to her, and partially shared to her if her sense of empathy was strong. "I won't let her suffer like this for eternity." He continued in the vision. Amuné was see through his eyes and witness all of the emotional turmoil of a father who had to do what he did. She would see through his eyes as he stepped forward in the vision, and chopped his daughter's head off with an angelic blade.

With that, Tsitua closed his mind. His face was a mess of tears and an expression of old pain. He wiped his face with an arm. "Believe what you want. Hate me, fear me, I don't care. I will not let that happen to you." His act of wiping his tears away was futile as they were replaced immediately. He returned to his mat, face buried in one hand.

Lya spun around, surprised by his kind understanding. Her body moved on its own gently burying her face against his chest and gripping the front of his shirt. She looked up at him with relief and joy in her eyes, "Okay!"

A five minute walk through the ship brought them back to the hangar where Valkyrie was welding on a different part of the bike from before. Her coveralls caught molten metal, but it simply rolled off like water on waterproofed material.

She flipped her welding mask up and smiled a huge, almost childish smile. "Oh my gosh he's so cute!" She nearly shouted. She kicked the power switch on the welder, peeled off her mask and leapt over her work to hug him playfully. Lya stood aside, arms crossed and silently fuming.
@shylarah"Not here any more? So then Nunque.." Lya slapped her hands to her mouth, "I'm so sorry.." she said "I just thought-" she was too late, Amuné was already out the door. She was more worried about what Jareth would think of her. She looked at him apologizing with her features.

Tsitua was sitting in the meditation room. It was silent as he sat cross-legged, surrounded by candles and incense that all had demon and angel blood infused in them. He barely reacted at all when Amuné showed up.

"You mean to tell me that an mentally unstable demon-spawned Seer with thousands of years of mental training and honing invaded the mind of a teenage girl without our consent?" He said all-too-obviously. He gave her the look a parent gives to a toddler throwing a fit. He retracted the look and went back to his meditation, "Nunque is like a child, Amuné. He's prodding you to see what he can get into. It's likely he already looked into Jareth's mind and found nothing of value. Your mind, however, is much more fun for him. The more you defend yourself, the more invasive and aggressive he becomes." He gave her a serious look, "How do you think Eric went blind?" He asked.

He let a silent moment fall, then scooted over on his mat. "Sit, meditate with me. I will open my mind to you, so that I can teach you how to effectively evade mental attacks. Before you sit, however, would you pour me a few fingers from that bottle?" He pointed to a whiskey bottle on the only piece of furniture in the room, a folding table. Next to it was a glass made of cut sapphire. The liquid within the bottle was the color of blood, but held a malty clove aroma.

Lya received an update from Tsitua after a moment. She breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Jareth, then down at the floor. "You must think I'm a real jerk after that..." she said heavy heartedly. "I uh... I just saw our guy acting weird... and I got defensive.. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions." She bit her lip lightly and fiddled with her fingers. Her embarrassment was plenty. She figured there was no way he'd even want to look at her after that. The thought brought tears to well up. What was wrong with her? Could she not just be cool and calm? Why did everything have to be so awkward when she tried to be close to someone?

"I'll, um... leave you alone now." She wasn't even sure why exactly she was so upset, but she had to hold her hand over her face as she turned and walked out to keep from bursting into tears. It was probably over-dramatic of her to walk out like that too, but she had begun believing she would never be attracted to anyone again before he had arrived on that train.

@shylarahAmuné had taken off, as did the guardsman, although he didn't get far. Cain caught up with the man, gripping him by the shoulder and turning him to lock eyes. "She will find Kirk, and he will help her. If you want to help her, go get my weapon." Wig that he released the man and made three hand signs; "u", "tora", "tatsu" then incantated, "Shadow Style: Instant transfer."

Cain melted into the shadow under the table only to rise from the shadow of night near the gate. It blew open as a huge boulder flew through it. Cain quickly made the earth handsign, taking the armor from his body and making diagonal pillars of obsidian steel that stopped the boulder just before it obliterated a group of young girls. He retracted the metal back to his body, allowing the boulder to fall safely to the ground with a shuddering thump. His tracking curse on Amuné showed she was near, which meant Kirk was probably headed toward the danger.

"So," the enemy said, "the mythical Metal Dragon is here. But where are your scales?"

@shylarahCain cocked his head at a slight angle. None of this seemed to fit together. She wished the man gone, yet she did not. She said something she didn't mean, and for what? What was the sought outcome? He wondered this as he turned to study the look on Amune's face. This was a mix of emotions he couldn't process. The guardsman looked displeased with her too. Cain eyed him, studying him up and down before leaning his head to one side. His neck popped audibly and he returned his head to an upright position.

"Approximately twenty-six percent of this makes logical sense, and yet you understand it further. You have additional data that I do not, or I would have to learn nothing. The difference between us is merely a matter of information. You understand emotions much like the way I understand how to kill. It is obvious and simple to you when one should listen to such words and when to chastise them, much like it is obvious and simple to me that even in a sitting position, you could never move fast enough to prevent death by my hand." Cain stood, "However, it is such a connection to your emotions that caused your counterpart to inflict unnecessary damage in a sparring session. It is this connection to emotion that has caused you dismay and Amune to be in the state she is now. By this data, I have determined there is greater efficiency in my current state. Nothing is pertinent for me to learn, currently." Cain was as emotionless as ever, but here was some hint of desire in his words. Why had he determined the need to say any of them. The only purpose was to combat the guardsman's earlier comment. This serves no real purpose. So why?

He took his tray to the dish window and left it there, returning to his seat, but before he could sit down, there was a loud sound from outside, like something very heavy colliding into something solid. The floor shook with the impact.

Eric scowled at the carriage-sized chunk of rock he had just cast at the men guarding the gate of the academy. He couldn't see it. He couldn't see anything, but the downward triangular runes under his eyes gave him the ability to "see" with earth magic. He could "see" with vibrations. He could "see" the smears of blood that had once been people. He smirked from behind long, white dreadlocks that had fallen in front of his face. "Now, where is this kid?"
@shylarah well, its walking dead night, no posts today lol
I'm going to read another post, then finish this episode of My Hero Acadamia and and go to bed lol. @shylarah
That might be my last post, but I'll wait for your reply! @shylarah
@shylarahVines wrapped around his mind, embedding thorns into his consciousness. His mind would have faded if he were a normal person, but Amuné would soon find that her attack was futile. He was, after all, part demon.

What is she doing now?

She attacked us.

Why?

She feels threatened, dummy.

Don't call me a dummy.

Seriously, why do you keep poking her?

She needs to understand.

You can't expect someone to just let you invade them.

Quiet! It's my turn today, not yours!

The conversation he was having with himself echoed through the vines and into Amune's mind. She would see the corruption in him. All the pain and suffering of being both demon and humanoid the mind was too chaotic. It shuddered and writhed, shaking off mental vines too weak to ensnare a demonic mind. One of Nunque's minds severed the link and put up a mental wall of diamond. The rational personality had experienced its fill of its counterpart's shenanigans.

Lya was out of earshot already. Headed toward her room when she happened to look in the door window of Nunque's room. He was standing, eyes rolled back, facing toward the newcomers. She sprinted back to that room, glaring at Amuné.

"What did you do?!" she shouted at the girl, her anger manifesting as radiant chakra around her.
