@shylarahMae turned a bright shade of red as she looked even harder at the floor. She seemed to be trying to bore holes in it with her gaze, but it was a matter of immense respect with a tinge of fear. It wasn't like she was worried that Ket would hold malice, rather the kind of fear one holds for their master. It was the kind of fear one would experience around a figure of great authority.
The black eyed lord watched Amuné with calm study as she reached for the nearest object. A knife, small and simple, was in her hand now. He tilted his head in interest. With a sort of grunt he deduced aloud, "She immediately moves to defend. You have been running for a long time then." He returned his head to its original position, flicking his eyes to meet hers in a solid gaze, "Much too long for such a short life." He didn't move even a millimeter. Not a single muscle tensed for a long moment, but it seemed like he had shifted slightly closer. Amuné might feel a sting of confusion, having thought there was more distance between them, but was there? Had she moved away from him at all? All the while his gaze remained fixed. He was waiting for
her to act. To do something or say something. It was like watching an exotic animal in its natural habitat, but not in a way that he seemed above her. He was genuinely fascinated by her, despite his lack of expression. That much was clear.
Silence hung heavily in the air as he waited.
