Ryu stared at the girl, confusion plastered across his usually emotionless face. Ryu looked over at his cousin, almost seeming like he wanted conformation that what just happened was real and he wasn't just imagining things. It seemed this girl was not like the other dimwitted people who walked through the hallways of their school, Ryu started like this girl. She was interesting and Ryu liked interesting peopel. Just look at his cousin for instance. Ryu, slowly began to sign, "It seems like you're correct with your assumption." He looked over at Toshiro, giving him a nod, as if to show his approval of the girl. Something Ryu had never done before.
Sirius scaned the area, it didn't seem anyone was there, but he still stayed on guard. He walked closer to the cart, to get a better look at it. It seemed as if it had been attacked quite recently, but where were the traders? Why would bandits kindnap traders? Sirius would have assumed they would just kill them, but there was no sign of any bodies or tracks even suggesting there were any bodies. That's when Sirius realized, this wasn't a trading cart, this was a set up. The you elf them heard rustling in the trees. Sirius quickly ran and tackled Seline to the ground, just seconds before several arrows pelted the ground were she just was. "Seems like we got company." He stood up, grabbing his bow and firing a couple of arrows into the tree.
Urtum started to feel uneasy as they continued through the darkness, the sounds becoming louder as they seemed to be getting closer to their source. The Salarian got a strange feeling, like they were being watched by... Somrthing, maybe even a small group of "things". Urtum slowly pulled out a pistol that was strapped to his waste that he kept with him for things like raiders, or hostile wildlife.

Suddenly, A.L.I.S.' voice chimmed in, staying at a low volume, "Increasing movement behind you, Doctor."

Urtum turned around, his shoulder light beaming infront of him revealing whatever was comming towards him. He couldn't really tell what the thing was, its skin was blue and looked almost as if it was rotting, it moved with an unnatural sway as it started to increase its speed into a full on sprint. As it closed the gap between them it let out a horrific, blood curtailing sound. It definitely did look like it wasted a hug. Quickly, the Doctor lifted up the pistol letting out a few rounds into the creatures chest, which was thrown back slightly from the impact of the shots. The sound of the pistol echoed through the mine, answered by what seemed to be hundreds of the same sound from the creature. This wasn't good.
Yeah, I know, just been busy with Christmas stuff
"Alright, let's move." They began to travel down the path, it was a pretty stright shot down the forest, there wern't a lot of twists or turns they had to take as they pushed on. It seemed like ours had past as they finally came to a stop. Sitting in the middle of the path was a broken and ransacked cart, it looked like it was headed to the main elf city to trade good, but didn't make it. Sirius lift a hand, signaling his companion to stop, "We need to be careful, whoever, or whatever, did this could still be around." He spoke in a low voice so only the girl could hear him.
Urtum typed in a short code on the door controls and slowly the larged sealed door opened with a slight screeching sound. He couldn't quite explain it, but the Salarian was feeling some sort of bad aura coming from inside the mine.

As he began to enter the cave, his AI companion spoke up, "Life signs detected not far from the site, Doctor. Our data seems to say that an alliance ship has landed. Our helps apears to have arrived."

"Good, good. Hope aliance arn't as lazy as security staff." He spoke as he finally found himself inside the mine. It was dark, a little too dark. It seemed that what ever found its way inside took out the power system to the lights. Urtum switched on a small shoulder light that was attached to his suit and continued down, further into the mine. Erie sounds echoed through the dark as pieces of rock fell and clattered to the ground. Urtum whispered quietly, "A.L.I.S. report."

The AI's voice spoke in a low volume, "No life signs in the immediate area, movement located futher down."

Urtum nodded, "Let's go see our new friends. Interested in what they are."
Ryu gave the girl a strange look as she walked up to the counter to order, she had a strange aura around her. Something that he only felt when he was around his cousin. He was staring to become intrigued, he wanted to know who this girl was and what was so different about her than any normal person. The young boy could hear her order, even if it was just barely, it seemed she had the same taste in ramen he did. When the newcomer finally got her order and turned to find a seat, it seemed that the placed had been filled, that is besides Ryu's other halve if the booth. So naturally, the girl walked up to him and asked if she could sit down. Ryu's scrunched up ever so slightly in thought, he definitely felt as if this girl different than anyone else, a good different. And so, Ryu did the unthinkable, he gestured for her to sit. Once she sat, Toshiro came shooting over to the table. The young genius rolled his eyes at his cousin, "No promises." He signed, "Just don't try one of your master plans, we all know what happened last time."
There you go, got the first post done to start us off.
Urtum awoke to the sounds of loud sirens blaring through out the mining camp. His eyes darted around his room for a bit, still trying to process the sudden wake up call. He held his hand up, his Omni Tool coming to life and bringing up a hologram of an Asari, "A.L.I.S. report." He spoke in short bursts, almost like some sort of speech impediment.

The hologram nodded, "It seems something has triggered the alarm inside the mines, Doctor. There are several life reading from inside the caves, but strangely there is no heat signatures. And the computer can not identify who or what is in there."

Urtum placed his free hand on his chin in thought, "Strange, yes. But who could be in the caves. Caves were sealed shut for lights out. No one was allowed in. Definitely intriguing." The Salarian pressed a button on his Omni Tool, "A.L.I.S. send out following transmission. To anyone. Could most likely use help. Security staff here, unreliable. Too lazy." He paused for a moment, "Suspicious activity at mining operation. Need back up. Unidentified intruders. High probability of danger."

"Transmission sending, Doctor. All ships in the approximate area will be notified." The hologram fizzled away as Urtum closed his Omni Tool.

"Good. Now for short investigation. Must find out what's happening. Don't want to just sit and wait." The doctor grabbed his helmet and placed it on, and opening the door to the outside world. The planet they were mining looked like a large barren desert, and lacked any type of oxygen welding atmosphere. They started digging when a group of Salarian analysts found signs of hefty amounts of resources under the planets crust. Urtum slowly walked toward the cave entrance, not seeing a sign of anyone else. They seem to have panicked when the alarm went off. "Time to see what's behind door number one." He muttered to himself as he neared the sealed entrance.
Ryu nodded at his cousin, as he got out of the side car and walked into the small ramen shop. The young boy sat down at his favorite booth which, as usual, was in the corner of the shop and away from most of the crowd. One of the girls who worked at the shop as a waitress walked up to the booth.

"The usual, I'm assuming." The girl spoke with a tired and irritated tone. It seemed the girl was not in the best mood. Ryu assumed that she was just tired from trying to juggle a job and school at the same time, because it's the same tone that Toshiro gets when he doesn't get enough of his "beauty sleep". But whatever the matter was, the young genius didn't really care and simply nodded at her question. Not before long a bowl of ramen noodles was placed in front of the boy. Ryu could tell that his cousin had made it by the smell. Toshiro knew how to cook, that's for sure. It at least made up for his lack of performance in any other activity, especially ones dealing with anything academic. As Ryu slowly picked up his chopsticks and began eating, the door of the shop opened with a chime and in walked in a peculiar looking girl. The young boy rolled his eyes, this was definitely going to be a target of one of Toshiro's "charming" encounters.
