Anyway, glad you guys are interested, I got big things planned.
Oh dear. This is a bit of a pickle isn't it? I am in your home, seemingly unarmed, but looking haggard, battered, and covered in blood. And there you are. In your Family Guy pajamas with a bad case of bedhead and a revolver you barely know how to use. This is a bad thing for you mostly. There are a number of ways this could go down and none of them are good. One, you could point the gun at me and shout at me to get on the ground, which in any other circumstance, would be a reasonable course of action. But it won't work. Two, you could fire a shot into the air hoping to scare me off. That won't work either. Three, you could rush to the phone and call the police. What you plan to do after that I don't know, but I would be forced to kill you regardless. And four, you could simply let me go, but we both know you won't do that. Or you could try to shoot me. But that wouldn't work. It seems I'll be forced to kill you, or at the very least wipe your memory. Of course a memory wiping spell would be very unstable and you could forget very crucial parts of your life. And I don't want to do that to someone, so I'm going to kill you. But, before I do, I'm gonna let you in on a secret.
You'd probably be dead by the end of the week anyway.
How, you ask? Well there are civilian casualties in any war, but this one will probably go down as the worst civilian death count in history. No war? Why, this war has been going on for the last 200 years. It's just going public this week. Anyway, I have to be going, so I'll make it quick. How about a painless destroy brain spell? Ha. Like you have a choice.

So as you might have already guessed, this is a rp based in the Papers, Please universe. It's 5 years after Papers, Please and Kolechia and Obristan are preparing for war. Terrified of the Obristan war machine, Kolechian citizens are fleeing to neighboring countries, some getting in legally, many trying to cross the border illegally. You are a government employee of Arstotzka. What you did before you became a Border Policeman/ woman is up to you. Your character and their comrades will face many choices and dangers as a border officer. How you deal with these situations will shape the rp and the world... for better or worse.
In the last 5 years, Obristan economy has flourished, to the bewilderment of the rest of the world. The Obristani government guards all their knowledge jealously and how they are doing so well is a mystery. It was confirmed though by several anonymous sources, that they are upgrading their military exponentially and this worries world leaders. What reason do they have for upgrading like this. Do they expect war? Do they want war? These questions were asked every day until the Kolechian-Obristan conference in Yurka City on May 23, 1986. According to reporters and a live television broadcast that confirms it, the leaders of both Obristan and Kolechia got into a heated argument about the Koslo Canyon, rich with resources, that sits between the two nations. The argument ended with Premier Vesvolod Gorohkov of Kolechia breaking Chancellor Gazo Treun of Obristan's nose. A massive fight ensued and Chancellor Truen retreated back to Obristan, a declaration of war leaving his lips. - Arstotzka National News Broadcast, May 27, 1986.

4. Be human. Your characters aren't Joseph Stalin. They're people, with emotions and fears and restraints.
5. If you want to use Russian you can, but there must be a translation beneath.
