I'm interested! I'm excited to see how this could turn out!
Okay, cool, I'll probably edit it on the weekend.
Name: Korina Anna Saffo

Age: 20 (Sirens age like humans until they've fully grown at around 16-18, then they age much slower)

Gender: Female

Breed/Species/Type/Lineage: Siren

Physical Description: She has medium skin, further tanned by the sun, and long, wavey brown hair, and she's around 5 foot 7. In the water, she has a tail covered in shining blue and purple scales. She uses many strings of shells, stones, and anything else she finds beautiful as necklaces, bracelets, and tail decorations.

On land, her tail transforms into two scaled legs, covered by a long pair of white yoga pants. She wears an bright blue tank top and (a much smaller quantity of) her necklaces and bracelets. She often chooses to put her hair up in a messy bun and throw on a pair of blue flip-flops. People say her most noticeable feature is her ocean blue eyes.

Talents:
Singing is something that has always came naturally to Korina (or Kiki, as many people call her), but she doesn't do it as often as she would like, mostly because it brings a lot of unwanted attention, sometimes even in the form of unwanted suitors. She knows that's in part due to her magic abilities, but she doesn't realize the full extent of her power, which could work as a mild charm with her current level of training, but it would take decades to get good enough to work as a strong one. She's also picks up on instruments rather easily, but she doesn't spend much time with them, so she isn't particularly skilled with any of them.

Kiki is known to be a crowd pleaser, something she isn't really aware she's using to her advantage. She runs a stand at the farmers market every week, and she's very social with her clients, making her popular with the regulars and good at selling her products (which are the necklaces she makes, which she's also rather skilled in doing). She very much like talking with other people, and like everyone, humans and supernatural alike, though she hasn't seen as many supernatural as humans- or, at least, she doesn't think she has.

Kiki is also a very skilled swimmer, and has a knowledge of ocean life (and the ocean in general) that surprises most people. Granted, that knowledge is not very extensive, but she hasn't received any formal education, making what she knows rather impressive.

History:
Kiki, like most sirens, was raised by a collection of sisters. All of the young sirens are sent to one of these collections shortly after they're born. They stay there until they turn fifteen, first learning from the older sirens, then teaching the younger ones. However, Kiki was taught differently. Her mother wanted someone who would be a bridge between humans and sirens, should the supernatural be revealed to the world. So when she had her daughter, she told the sisters to not teach her of the cruelness of the world, especially not of humans. She asked them to teach her to live among both groups instead.

The sisters agreed, but it wasn't anything they had tried before. In the end, they couldn't figure out how to balance her education, so they had to try to tell her what the world is like without any reasoning and with little negativity. Luckily for them, Kiki wasn't very curious.

And so at fifteen, Kiki went into the world completely unprepared and knowing only three things for certain. One, don't tell humans you're a siren. Two, get a job and pay your taxes. Three, if you need help, ask a sister. And she does. There's Chara, an older sister who was her main teacher, and Maria, a sister around her age who desperately hopes Kiki will be alright in the real world.

Of course, it wasn't easy those first few months. Kiki tried to go into the city, but whenever she did she couldn't figure out where to go or what to do. During this time, she met a human girl around her age- Alicia. Alicia had enough common sense for the both of them, and Kiki was good at being social, so they ended up becoming fast friends. Alicia helped get Kiki a job at the same place she worked, which was a restaurant right by the beach (although Kiki had to settle for dishwasher, since she refused to serve fish). Once Alicia graduated high school, she decided to help Kiki start on a business idea she had been having for a while, which was to sell necklaces she made from all the pretty shells she had been collecting. It was hard to start, especially with Alicia going into law school, but eventually they got a stand at the farmers market.

That's where she's been for the past several years of her life, but even she knows she's gotten very lucky. She's been hearing murmuring of a change in the council, or something like that, among some of her patrons, but she hasn't heard anything about it from Alicia or any news sources, so she doesn't know what that's about.

Psychological Profile:
Kiki was raised to be ignorant of her serroundings. Her perception of the world is almost exactly the same as it was ten years ago. Alicia has been able to teach her how to get around in the human world, but it's still rather minimal, and she knows basically nothing about being a siren, and even less about the supernatural world in general.

However, being ignorant of that, she doesn't really know what she's missing. She's a very happy person, and likes to make others happy. And people tend to like socializing with her, although they find it hard to talk about anything serious with her. Her rather simple view on reality also makes it easy for her to see things as black and white and remove the complexity from situations that shouldn't be simplified. Alicia has very recently realized this flaw, and is beginning to think she should bring it up, but hasn't done anything with it yet.

She really does believe in the best of the world, which would be true even if she knew what was really going on. Overall, she's very naive, but very loving and hopeful.

Possessions:
She almost always carries a beach bag with her. Inside she always has at least three bottle of water, a waterproof wallet that only contains the money she earns from her stall, and her necklaces on work days. She hides those and her one outfit underneath a dock by her territory. That territory isn't very large nor properly defended, but there aren't any other sirens close enough to take it.

Yes, and:
She met Graham a few weeks ago, and she decided to chat with him. Somehow, they both learned the other was supernatural in the conversation. Kiki, not knowing much about the supernatural, decided to ask a few questions. She hasn't hit any questions with obvious answers yet, so Graham isn't suspicious (as far as she knows. Not like she's trying to hide it). Whenever she sees him, she always asks more questions, and she's starting to see him as a sort of mentor figure.
I'm interested! So unless there's too many people already, I'd like to join! I'm thinking that playing a siren would be cool.
Estrella stared at the book harder than she had stared at anything in her entire life. It's like the book was taunting her, laughing at her face from her inability to figure out what page to go to. She stared at it harder, as if it had just made a mean comment about how her hair looked today, as if it knew she spent a little longer on it than usual today. She stared until-

"Estrella, did you find that recipe?" A voice from the kitchen broke her concentration. She sighed heavily, realizing the intense strain she felt.

"I could have found it if you hadn't stopped me." She said, defeated. The woman popped her head in to the living room to see Estrella with the book closed in her hands. She sighed.

"Estrella, please just use the index." She said with a frown.

"But I can do it, I really can!"

"Estrella." Her mother looked at her with a look full of emotions, but Estrella didn't care to identify them. She opened up to the back of the book and searched for the recipe. Her mother hesitated before sitting next to her.

"Listen. I know you want to practice your powers, but it might not be the best idea. What if it gets out of hand or some non-star supremacist finds out about it?" She started. Her mother often chose to share her worries and feelings rather than hide them, a practice that seemed to cause less tension and more tension at the same time, but everyone agreed that it worked.

"What's a supremacist?"

"It means they think non-stars are better. My point is that you've been given a gift. A gift that could do all sorts of things for you, good and bad. And I'm worried about the bad. And it's not like I don't trust you to handle it, because I do trust you, it's just... I don't know what I'm saying. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?" Estrella smiled. She hugged her mom before responding.

"Yeah, I do." Estrella felt bad, because she knew she would practice just as hard anyway. She never felt good disobeying her mom, but she thought that practicing her power was just about as important as studying for a big test. In her mind, she had to do it.

"Okay, good. Just be safe, okay?" Estrella nodded. Her mother reached across from her to grab the book Estrella had put down. She flipped a couple of pages before landing on the recipe, "Why don't you go outside with your sisters? I'll call you all in when dinner is ready." Estrella got up with a burst of energy and put on a pair of shoes.

"Okay, love you!" She said as she ran out, nearly slamming the door behind her. Outside, her three sisters were passing a ball between one another when they saw her come out.

"Hey Estrella, wanna come play with us? We saw a lizard before we started, so that means good luck, right?" Sarah asked from her spot in the pseudo-triangle the girls had formed.

"Good luck for what, we're just passing a ball?" Lily asked, and Sarah replied with a shush.

"In a moment." Estrella said as she took a seat on one of the chairs the left out front. She closed her eyes and tried to focus really hard.

"Oh, are you using your power thing?" Estrella didn't respond. Sarah tried to ask it louder, but the other two shushed her. She put all of her focus into trying to answer the long lingering question in her mind. It was just about the most important question she could think of. In fact, she had asked the question daily when she got the power, but was starting to hurt her, so she settled for once a week. She put every last ounce of energy into finding the answer. But no matter how hard she tried, she wasn't any closer than she was those few months ago. She sighed, eventually giving up due to exhaustion. When she opened her eyes her sisters were once again looking at her.

"No luck." She said quietly.

"... Were you looking for Momma?" Vicky asked after a pause. Estrella nodded.

"She's pretty far away. She could be just about anywhere in the country. Or Canada." Silence took over the group. Estrella had wanted nothing more than to know what happened to her. She had left years ago without telling anyone where she was. They had tried everything since then, and they spent months looking. But not a single clue was found, and eventually they had to call off the searches. They could only assume she was dead. Even Estrella wasn't sure if she was alive. She couldn't answer those types of questions. But she was hopeful that one day she would find her and they would become a big happy family once again. After a few moments, Lily spoke up.

"Well, come on, let's get back to playing."

I'll have an IC post up hopefully within the hour.
I have some quick questions, if you don't mind :D

What does the organization do about adult stars, as in if they don't discover them until adulthood. Would they still try to take them in and corrupt them? And what do they do once a student becomes an adult?

Also, would you like us to put the NPC sheets in the OOC or the Character forum? I would guess the OOC, but I'm not sure.

I'll try to get an IC post up soon and I'll post my NPCs when I finish them!
Okay, here's my CS! If elaboration is needed or something seems wrong just let me know and I'll fix it!

Name: Estrella Nora Wright
Gender: Female
Age: 11
Nationality: American (her biological parents are from Cuba)
Current location in the world: Miami, Florida
Appearance: She's a small girl, reaching about 4'8", and is pretty stout as well. She has long, wavy, dark brown hair and equally brown eyes. She has a tan complexion, mostly from genetics, partially from the Florida sun, where she has lived most of her life. Her face is rounded and often decorated with a cocky smirk. Her outfits mainly consist of pinks, whites, and browns, since those are her favorite colors.
Location and notes on star mark: Her star is located on her stomach, about three inches across. Her star has eight points, meant to resemble a compass. The four points pointing up, down, left, and right are slightly bigger, while the points in between those are a little smaller. Her star is placed on her stomach because her power is sort of like a gut feeling.
Star power: Her power is the ability to find out where the answer lies. Her ability is fairly limited, since her power doesn't tell her how to find the answer, and the location gets more general the farther away she is.
Corrupted or Uncorrupted: Uncorrupted
Personality: Estrella is a lot of things, but overall she's a kid looking to have fun. Her most noticeable traits are her surprisingly passionate nature and her tendency towards trickary. She enjoy pranks and jokes, as well as teasing people. In fact, she tends to push it more than she should, which gives her reputation for being kind of a jerk around the school. She can be a rather sweet kid, but she often ends up being mean to someone before she's nice to someone, leaving her to feel misjudged and bitter towards the other kids. She does have a group of friends, but they tend to get very dramatic about her behaviors. Usually that's over in a week or so and they all stay good friends.
Biography: Three years ago, Estrella and her adoptive sisters Sarah, Vicky, and Lily were adopted by their mothers, Rose and Samantha (in their words, they had a hard time making a decision). They all became a big, happy family, and they lived out their lives normally. However, a year later, Rose left without a word to anybody. They all eventually carried on, but it left a noticeable mark on everyone. Otherwise, Estrella is a happy girl about to enter middle school and having fun with sports and clubs. About three or four months ago, she was swimming with some friends when her mother, who was supervising the gathering, noticed her star. She told her to hide it, since she has heard rumors about what happened to those with stars and wasn't sure what people might think. Estrella did, but since she realized what her power was she's been practicing it regularly, seeing if she could train it to try and expand her abilities, but she hasn't hasnt been practicing long and doesn't know if the training is actually working.
Trivia: Her interests include sports and acting, and she loves sweets. She also likes to spend time trying to find answers to random questions ever since she discovered her ability. Her dislikes include wearing shoes for a long time and really wide open spaces. She has trypophobia, the fear of a collection of holes.
Other: Per Aspera Ad Astra
I got a question. Do we have to start out in New York City, or can we start somewhere else?
I'm interested! I'd like to reserve the power to know where to find an answer. Granted, she won't know specifics, like how to find it, and the farther she is from the answer the more generalized the location is. For example, if she was trying to find one in a school, her power would point her to the library. If she was in the library, it would point her to a shelf. The shelf point is as specific as she can get.

This RP sounds super cool and I'm excited to play!
