Oh yes, I see now upon further investigation. Seems like the map's all full up then!

Well not entirely. You could put a nation around those lakes and rives east of Choedal up in the northern part of the map. Though you'd have to make sure you don't accidentally claim anything already claimed by Beredia. You wouldn't even be the furthest to the East. Though, again, I'd wait for the GM to be certain.

Oh that will be awesome, imagine grandly decorated Ships, Honour Guard in golden Armour. Banners everwhere, a traditional Turchinan Masked Carnival and so on...

And, best of all, it'd royally piss off King Alois. It's no secret that The Grand Duke dislikes him for the way the King treats his daughter and the King, well, he can be kind of paranoid sometimes. So he's not going to like his most powerful vassal (who hates him) creating marriage ties with a foreign realm.
@TheMoatedGrange If I am not mistaken there is still quite some room. Right south of Turchina and its enclaves and East of Vohemia there is quite some room. Sevanne is out too I think, so that Space is open again. Not an official answer though.
Vohemia is a bit of the very devout backwater like place and Tuchina is a trading city based on the italian renaissance, with a mighty armada and a bit of influenced by the east.

Nah, that areas been claimed already. Map just hasn't been updated with the claim yet.

This was the area I was looking at. Hope you can see it...

You'd have to talk to @bloonewb, since he already claimed that whole region.

@TheSovereignGrave I'd rather see it played out so it could happen over the course of the game. XD. I still need to write out characters for my Houses though. Well at least I have names for the Families and concepts outlined for them, and hey they have own coats of arms now, which is always nice.

Alrighty then, works for me. I can always give the Grand Duke a younger son who has yet to take a wife.

It was just an idea, maybe I am just too hungry for Intrigue now that GoT is through for this season. XD

Well there can still be intrigue. I mean, the two strongest noble houses in the Ardäin absolutely hate the king. Of course, things are still likely to be a bit more complicated since they're close relatives of the Queen.

Oooh, oh oh oh. I just had an idea. The head of one of the aforementioned noble houses rules from the Ardäin's only major port city and some of his sons are somewhat less traditional-minded than most Ardäinesch nobles. Perhaps one of them could be married to a daughter of one of Turchina's noble families, or perhaps it could happen during the course of the RP.

This looks really interesting. Are the areas to the south still open? I'd love to slide in on this just before it starts.

While I do believe that we're still accepting (but you'd need to ask the GM for certain), I'm pretty sure someone's already claimed that chunk in the south.
Eh, I'm not really a big fan of it @Hygswitch. It's kind of a major thing to stick in right before the RP begins, and I already have minor houses in my nation who aren't exactly going to see eye-to-eye with the King on, well, many things. Of course, other people are more than welcome to interact with them and support their ventures against the establish order of my kingdom, but I'd rather be in control of the characters since I created them. Of course, if other people want to go with your idea I see no reason to stop them.

Oh, and @Dagoth, Piratepad is a site made pretty much for collaborative writing. A relatively good way to make a collaborative post if one doesn't feel like just doing it via PM.
Eh, I suppose I'm in favour.
Sweet; I can't wait to get things started. :D

I honestly wouldn't be opposed to starting a new RP with the same/similar premise. Since we don't know if/when Polishking is gonna be back, and if we were too stray too far from what he wanted and then he came back it could cause some friction. And if we get a new one going we'll actually have a GM to make all the decisions and decide on what's what based upon their vision.

And @Willy Vereb, I don't know if it was intentional but what you described is almost literally the premise of the CKII mod this RP was inspired by.
I think a big problem is that in this RP Polishking explicitly stated that it was a nuclear war that screwed up the world. It's already kind of a stretch that things got kicked back as far as they did, with just so much knowledge apparently just being completely lost to time.
I am working on my first post. Though it's not coming easily, unfortunately.

And did we ever decide upon the technology level for certain? I made my nation under the assumption that it'd kinda be like the early High Middle Ages. Sorta like the inspirational material.
I personally usually at least wait for the GM to make the first IC post, if I'm to be perfectly honest.

And yeah, it'd be nice to know if Choedal is still here since they're one of my two neighbours. Well, possibly my only neighbour since I don't think the guy playing Mille-Sessau has popped in anytime recently.
