Alright, wanted to add some more information that I have been working on. Not everything in here is necessarily final. Also, anything that definitely seems wrong or needs to be more fleshed out, feel free to point it out. The numbers, of population and power levels, also may change but I wanted something basic down at least before I move further. If anyone is looking to play a race not listed, just let me know and I can add that one in. Next I will begin working on a list of techniques and in depth racial abilities.

Humans

Humans in the Dragonball universe are a bit sturdier than real humans but are essentially frail creatures in comparison to the rest of the races. They share all of our characteristics and are a varied species. Hair and eye colors can be outlandish for the real world. Some humans in this world seem to be missing features, such as a nose, or carry additional, like a third eye. I am also considering the anthromorphic races on Dragonball's Earth under human. Humans as a whole are social creatures, most live in one of several large cities. Nearly all of the rest that live outside the cities, still live in small towns. There are a few that choose entirely to hermit themselves away. Work for the humans is mostly done by the android population in the cities, though the small towns and hermits enjoy the older lifestyle. Most of human architecture and design seems to be circular or spherical. Their cars are now automated, their ships can fly across the universe and giant teleporters to move things instantaneously. Most of the human race is really weak, but the race is capable of reaching the lower heights of power. Still few humans ever break above a power level of one hundred. In response to their physically weak nature, the humans have created a number of devices to assist them in battle, namely the race of androids. Still there are a few that practice both the martial and the mystical arts.

Home Planet: Earth
Average Base PL: 5
Average Life Span: 80 Years
Abilities: None
Estimated Population: >1,000,000,000

Saiyans

Traditionally, all Saiyans have black hair and eyes, but mingling with the humans has expanded the colors that can be expressed. To be recognized as a Saiyan one must be at least 1/64, which is evidenced from birth by a prehensile monkey tail. They are humanoid in form and color, but nearly all Saiyans have a muscular build. Saiyans are a stubborn and arrogant but noble race, that lives almost entirely within the headquarters of Capsule Corp. There is no technology nor architecture attributed to the Saiyan race, as nearly all of them spend their time raising the family and training. All of their needs are provided by Capsule Corp, in return for the Saiyan's promise to protect Earth. The Saiyan race is a strong one, naturally gifted with a genetic trait called Zenkai. This trait allows them to greatly increase their power level after a brush with death, though the wounds cannot be self-inflicted. Another ability of the Saiyan race is to transform on a full moon, into a giant monkey called an Oozaru. The only problem with Oozaru is that it can take years for a Saiyan to learn to control themselves while transformed. Due to that reason, many Saiyans choose to have their tail cut off.

Home Planet: Earth
Average Base PL: 200
Average Life Span: 100 Years.
Abilities: Oozaru, Zenkai
Estimated Population: ~300

Androids

Androids can be as varied as the humans that ordered them, as they are custom designed for each person. Still each android is humanoid in form. Nearly all of the androids were created by Royal Robotics and carry their logo. There are two very distinct models though, evidenced by size. The home model is roughly the size of a human, while the industrial model is more often ten foot or taller. As an artificially created race, the androids have no architecture, technology or culture of their own. Most of the race has a rudimentary instruction and task based AI, but a few have either gained or been created with a more sentient AI. Such androids, are more often someone's personal companion android or a random inventor's attempt. Androids are fairly tough machines and those designed by Royal Robotics come with two basic abilities. The first is an analytical ability called Energy Reading, which allows the android to deduce a being's power level. The second ability is a self-destruct mechanism, which only a handful of people know about.

Home Planet: Earth
Average Base PL: 100
Average Life Span: 15 Years
Abilities: Energy Reading, Self Destruct
Estimated Population: >100,000

Namekians

These green beings seem to have properties similar to plants and slugs. Hairless, their heads are adorned with antennae and their ears are pointed. Resistant to cold, thanks to a thick and durable skin, Namekians need only water and air for sustenance. Their senses are very acute, particularly their hearing. Inherently this species is peaceful, with Namekians following either the Warrior or the Dragon Clan. One route trains the body for combat, the other practices the more mystical arts. Some Namekians succumb to the darkness and become part of the Demon Clan, which often have fighting properties of both clans. They are a relatively strong people, able to regenerate as long as their head is intact. Namekians can extend their limbs out.

Home Planet: New Namek, Earth
Average Base PL: 500
Average Life Span: 500 Years
Abilites: Regenerate, Limb Extension
Estimated Population: ~400

Makaioshin

A powerful race of evil deities that call the Demon Realm home, a plane that exists below the Mortal Realm. They can come in all shapes, sizes, colors and forms but the strongest are often humanoid with red colored skin, horns and pointed ears. Each of them can have very unique abilities. As a species they have the ability to influence the hearts of mortals, drawing out the evil in them.

Home Planet: Demon Realm, New Namek
Average Base PL: 40,000
Average Life Span: Immortal
Abilities: Can influence the evil in the hearts of others, Each has their own unique ability.
Estimated Population: 10

Arcosians

Inherently the strongest race in the mortal realm, the Arcosians are naturally ruthless and cold. Living without mercy, they are petty and spoiled, yet extremely disciplined. Most of this race are born at their power levels, never training to fight, only gaining that experience from actual combat. The power they are born with is usually too much for them and their early days are used to train them to transform, containing their power. There species is few in number, counting on slaves a minions to do their bidding. Extremely resilient, this race can put themselves into a sort of coma that does not require them to eat, drink or breathe.

Home Planet: Arcose
Average Base PL: 25,000
Average Life Span: 300 Years
Ability: Transformations, Stasis
Estimated Population: ~100

Majins

As the youngest of the races in the Dragonball universe, not a lot is known about this species. They come in a wide variety of colors and are able to change their humanoid shaped body in various ways. Devoid of ears, nose and hair, Majins have antennae on their head that often resemble horns or hair. Like the Namekians, the Majin race can regenerate but it does not require the head, as long as there is any significant portion of the being left.

Home Planet: Earth
Average Base PL: 3,000
Average Life Span: N/A
Ability: Body Manipulation, Regeneration
Estimated Population: 50
I'm definitely interested. I'm a bit out of touch with the DBZ universe past the main series though, is there any reading I should do to prepare?

As long as you are familiar with the main series of DBZ, you should be fine. I never really cared for Dragonball GT much, so I probably won't really include anything from it.

I am glad to have you both interested and would like to get the game going by next weekend if we can get a few more players. I will try to have a list of races and their abilities up soon, obviously not complete but consisting of the main races at least.
Well, right offhand, I don't have a problem with players playing any race within reason. I do have a few sagas planned but I like story and player driven games. Roshi would likely be able to train with on Earth. King Kai may be an option but I plan on the Dragon Balls being mostly forgotten by this time. As for power levels, they will be much lower than the max seen in the Dragonball universe. Starting out, most races should be a thousand or lower, exceptions being the Arcosians and Makaioshin. Sorry for the shorter post and lack of in depth information, not at my computer right now.
Alright, I am thinking of running a game here in the Advanced Roleplay section. It would take place in Dragonball Z universe, a very long time after that series. A couple things to note:

*Arcosians are the name this game would use to refer to Frieza's race
**This game may or may not accept Dragonball GT (If it does, it would still take place after, but the universe is not that powerful anymore anyways)
***The movies are considered canon for this game.

EARLY HISTORY

With the Earth at peace again, the Saiyans could seemingly calm down but Vegeta grew vigilant, ensuring that his lineage had the fortitude to protect their new home. He trained Trunks in military strategies, while Bulma taught him science. When Trunks inherited Capsule Corp, he began to implement the plan for the Earth Defense Force. The Saiyan lineage was carefully conserved and the race grew. Trunk's greatest advancement toward defending Earth was the encapsulation of energy, including transformation energy, like that used to go Super Saiyan. Unlike, the mass produced capsules used for matter, the energy capsules were not given freely to the world.

Meanwhile the Emperor Pilaf finds the Dragon Balls and wishes for immortality. His second life is then spent building a business. In his travels, Pilaf discovered one of the Red Ribbon bases. Using some of the old technology their, the emperor was able to locate more. Over time, he was able to gather much of Dr. Gero's research. He would eventually meet a shrewd business partner that helped him get started. With the man's help, he hired scientists to sift through the late Gero's work. The final result was Royal Robotics, Emperor Pilaf taking the former army's logo as his own in a twisted joke. The corporation focused on creating in home robotics and companion androids.

A tiny sect of the Red Ribbon Army carried on the name, mostly as a gang. Until they were met by a fanatic that had extensively studied the original Red Ribbon Army. The man simply calling himself Red Leader, systematically took over the organized crime of Earth. Red Leader overthrew mob bosses and small town gang leaders alike on his own, the Red Ribbon Army ever following close behind. The goal of this army was no longer to find the Dragon Balls, content to rule from the shadows of the criminal underworld.

Both Capsule Corp and Royal Robotics become closely entangled with Earth's politics, getting their own advisers to the King of Earth. All the while, the growing Red Ribbon Army buy off more and more of the government, unable to buy off the King of Earth himself.

The Namekian race cultivated New Namek, planting many food crops that would eventually be exported to Earth. Set into their warrior and dragon clan system, the race lived peacefully for many years. Eventually, some of the warriors grew restless, their will to protect their home causing them to leave it and search out danger. Endorsed by Capsule Corp, the Namekians became known as Guardians, taking up the name that Kami and Dende held for protecting Earth. Piccolo would eventually join these Guardians. New Namek's trade deal with Earth, kept it safe and cozy for many years.

THE GALACTIC WAR

The Arcosian Empire which was greatly influenced by the Planet Trade Organization under the command of Frieza, lost much of its power after the death of Frieza. While the race is inherently strong by anyone's standards, Frieza's family in particular was always a cut above the rest. With the Planet Trade Organization scattered and falling apart, the Arcosian Empire had to resort to utilizing its own army to bring the North Galaxy back under its control.

By the time that the real Galactic War broke out, Earth and Namek, had already created a united front, with the planets being protected by technologies from both Royal Robotics and Capsule Corp. A rebuilt Arcosian Empire made up of thousands of beings faced off against the Earth Defense Force and The Guardians. Both planets were protected by a shield that kept everything out once activated.

Unable to breach the shields, facing over three hundred Super Saiyans and a hundred Namekian warriors, the Arcosians were having a tough time. That is until they brought forth their allies, the Makaioshin from the Demon Realm. Stronger than most of the Arcosians, the Makaioshins started to win the war for the Arcosians. At this point, Majin Buu joined the fray and split himself into many different beings, creating a whole new race. With the added help of the Majins, the Arcosian Empire was beaten back and forced to retreat.

RISE OF THE DEMON CLAN

Months later once the shields were lowered around Namek, some of the Makaioshin landed and proceeded to live on New Namek. Guardians were placed over them, carefully keeping watch. Due to the nature of the Makioshin, they began to warp the Gaurdians keeping watch. The Namekians mutated, gaining new abilities and features, their personalities becoming twisted and dark. As these Guardians fell under the influence of the Makaioshins, more were sent to check out the situation. These Guardians gave into their dark sides when their former comrades sank their fangs in. Soon an entire clan rose up and attacked the rest of the Namekians, attempting to turn the whole race into slaves to the Makaioshin.

Piccolo arrived, the strongest member of his race, but he would succumb to the many bites of the tainted ones. Turned into the Demon King Piccolo once again, the Namekian went on to ravage his planet. What Namekians survived the initial devastation flocked to the teleporter linked to Earth. The initial flood was accepted but as soon as the first of the mutants appeared, the link between Earth and New Namek was cut.

New Namek was then officially turned over to the Arcosian Empire, what few untainted Namekians remained hid deep underground. Earth and its moon was left as the only unclaimed territory in the North Galaxy. Entirely cut off from the rest of the galaxy by the shields, Earth began focusing its efforts on colonizing the moon. The Arcosian Empire would eventually accept a treaty with Earth, in which the King Of Earth and the Arcosian Emperor meet every five years to discuss the ever changing terms. Such a meeting is held with a tournament, showcasing the Galaxy's greatest warriors.

While the last three meetings and tournaments have went well, the tensions between the quickly crowding races of Earth and the Arcosian Empire are growing ever more taught. The Fourth Galactic Tournament is fast approaching. How much longer until it all snaps? Will Earth unleash its forces upon the Arcosian Empire? Would they even matter anymore? Find out....on the next episode of Dragonball: Final Hours!

END HISTORY

So let me know if you are interested, I know of two already at least. If I get enough players I will open the game up.

-Sits at PC looking like the creature in the picture- What the fuck is this shit? >_< Oh no, not the post, the lack of activity that followed it! XD And I know I need to post myself probably, but I have been kind of having a bit of writer's block lately. :/
Lurk moar.
Yea, I did not get around to posting yesterday. I finally got around to watching the first series of Magi yesterday, really good anime. Then moved onto trying to catch up on the Legend of Korra, of which I had watched only the first season. Now I am like halfway through the second season. Still, the post is up now.
Something large loomed over the small girl lying in the bed, the sun shining through the single window. It reached out and shook her. Freya moaned and rolled away from it. The sun had come too quickly and she did not want to leave her bed. The thing shook her again and she growled, “What do you want, Maul?”

“I am not your beast,” Replied the figure.

Groggily, Freya's mind pulled itself from the fog of the deep sleep that she had been enjoying. Springing up, the girl stared at the figure, it was the innkeeper. Sighing in relief, the girl growled again, “Is it normal for you to wake your guests?”

In the corner, Maul still slept but grunted his agreement as he rolled over. The innkeeper's fat face scrunched itself up indignantly, “Girl, I don't normally employ my guests in the kitchen.”

The sleep quickly faded from the girl's mind as she remembered what her companion had gotten her into. Sighing again, though this time in annoyance, Freya nodded and slowly gets out of the bed, “Very well, I will be down in a minute.”

The innkeeper's gaze still held her own for a moment before he turned and left the room, leaving a few words behind, “Better be no longer or I will throw you and that thing out.”

As soon as the door closed, the girl sat back down on the bed and glanced at the man sleeping in the corner. Other than rolling over, Maul showed no intention of waking anytime soon, a good thing in Freya's mind. Her companion seemed to prefer the dark of the night, something the girl also liked better than the sunlight. Freya's hands moved to her boots, they are clearly worn out but still provided enough protection for her feet. The tough leather groaned as she pulled the tongue forward and slipped her foot inside. She quickly did the same with the other one.

Standing, she sneaked across the rickety floor beneath her feet, hoping it would not creak and wake Maul. Fortunately for Freya, the girl's ability to sneak seemed better this morning that it had been last night when she had tried to sneak out. She opened the door and slipped out of the room, closing it carefully behind her. Her feet led her down the hall to the stairs and down to the first floor of the inn.

Despite the time in the morning, there were already patrons sitting at the tables, some probably still sitting there from the night before. The girl weaved her way around the tables, heading for the bar. When she reached it, Freya nimbly hopped over it to the other side, where she came face to face with the innkeeper again, “My establishment is not a playground for you and you pet.”

Nodding her head in acquiescence, the girl said nothing, though she had plenty of words she wanted to hurl at the man, most of them curses. Waving her on, the innkeeper turned away from her. Freya quickly moved to the door of the kitchen. Through the doorway she could see the large piles of dishes that loomed over those scurrying about inside. As she stepped through and moved closer, she knew they had to have stopped washing anything since the previous night when she had agreed to do them.

The girl wanted to scream, she hated such menial work and she hated that smug fat bastard behind the counter. Still, the man had worked out a rather fair deal when she had been looking for a place to stay, though it would only last another week. Shrugging in defeat, the girl set about doing her task.

While her hands worked, her body moving mostly on auto-pilot, the wheels in the girl's mind continued to turn. “I was supposed to meet my contact last night. The Unburdened seem like a very wary group and I wanted to do it without Maul. “

When she thought about her companion, she remembered that he was also the reason she was doing these dishes, “Gah, he is such a pain in the ass! So unruly...and he never listens.. Still the beast tells no lies...”
Back upstairs in the room, Maul stirred and blinked his eyes at the sunlight that beamed down on him. Growling at the light, as if it might retreat, the man tried to bury his head into his arms. The light continued to shine upon him. Leaping up, the man howled at it in rage but it still changed nothing. Angrily, he began to beat his fists upon the floor, hopping from one foot to the other.

When the sun still did not hide from his anger, the beast snapped. Grabbing the bed, Maul tried to throw it out the window at the ball of fire in the sky. It slammed against the wall surrounding the window, too large to fit. This only seemed to make the man angrier. “Would you stop it already? You're embarrassing...”

The thought flitted through the beast's mind, and had he been saner he could have confirmed the truth of the statement by simply looking out the window. In the alley below, those that were passing through had stopped to look up at the man. Maul hesitated for only a moment, the thought flitting away as fast as it had appeared in his mind, before he continued to bang the bed against the window.

A few moments later, he seemed to realize that what he had been doing was futile. Dropping the bed, so that it lay against the window, Maul grabbed at the straw under it. When only a few small handfuls of straw would come lose from under the bed, his rage flared right back up and he beat his fist against the floor again. Outside the door of his room, the creature could hear those that had begun to leave their rooms in an effort to determine what the commotion they heard might be.

Suddenly feeling caged, the beast went berserk. His fists slammed into the wooden frame of the bed, over and over again, until it finally broke. With a shattering sound, the window behind the bed also gave way, raining glass down upon those still watching below. The splinters that dug into his hands, did not bother the man as he continued to beat the bed in an effort to push it out the window, to try and escape the room.
Down in the kitchen, Freya is pulled from her thoughts by the commotion upstairs. Instantly, the girl knew it was the man in her room causing it. She dropped the dish in her hand and raced out of the kitchen. Vaulting over the counter, she took the steps two at a time and found herself in a hallway full of people. At the other end, she could just barely see the doorway to her room.

Slipping through the crowd, something that would normally be easy due to her size was hindered by the the small width of the hallway. Before she could reach the door, Freya heard the shattering of glass and curses to herself. With more determination she pushed through the crowd, elbowing those in unseemly places that would not give way. Finally, she reached the door and turned back to the crowd, “This is my room. I'll handle it. You can all disperse now.”

Without waiting to see how the crowd reacted, the girl grabbed the door and opened it. Ducking though the doorway, she finds herself in the room, with no other occupants. The bed lie on the floor in pieces, mixed with glass and straw. Cursing again, the girl went to the chest and grabbed the few things she had in it, “Well, we cannot stay here anymore...”

Climbing out the window, she looked down at the people in the alleyway. When she followed the line of their gaze, Freya could see the shape of her companion leaping from building to building. She grabbed onto the roof and swung herself up. Standing, she began to run after her companion.
