I was, but I just posted it! Maria's going back to her "old self," so to speak, though we never really got to see it during the RP.

Also, if it hasn't been made apparent yet, Maria's a bit... odd. =P
“You seem to have a sweet for every occasion. I’m quite impressed.” Kat remarked dryly to the girl.

“And I like the way you think, too. That’s the way a mechanic’s supposed to see things; if there’s a problem, then there’s no point getting worried about it. You’ve just got to figure out if you can fix it with what you’ve got to hand.”

The bashful look returned to Kat’s face. I hope that didn’t sound as stupid to them as it did to me. I was never any good at sounding smart.

Maria smiled. "More like every situation can be improved with sweets. Like just now; you and Moth were sad earlier, and then I gave you something nice to eat and something nice to hear, and now you're not sad! In fact, I bet that if I could get a Grit to hold still long enough, I could give it a sweet and it would calm down some! Or just be too focused on chewing the sweet to chase after us, but either one works!"

“Sorry for being moody before. The people I was waiting for whilst up on the wall… I’m pretty worried about what happened to them. But Moth here has a point- we need to focus on getting out of here first. What’s your name? I’m Kat.”

Maria's face fell slightly. "Yeah, I have people I'm worried about too. I'm sure they're all safe, though; why would the Grit kill stone statues?" She cocked her head to the side slightly. "Though I guess they could have been missed by the lightning, or whatever it was... Well, either way, we probably should get going. Can't keep everyone waiting, after all!" She started walking towards the door, but turned around before she went for than a few steps. "Oh, and I'm Maria. My parents run a candy shop by the Seventh River, which is why I have so much with me! My mom used to say that that's also why I'm so sweet, but I prefer to think that it's because I was raised on a steady diet of hopes and dreams!" Now that the shock had almost completely worn off, Maria was gradually coming back into her usual personality - a tiny, crinkly chatterbox.

"CANDY IS A LEADING CAUSE OF TOOTH DECAY AND HIGH BLOOD SUGAR."

Maria stuck her tongue out at the robot. "Oh, hush! You're just jealous you can't eat any candy!" She blew a raspberry at it.

"WAAAHH!" A high-pitched screech of terror echoed all the way up the stairwell; even those standing in the infirmary could clearly tell something had happened.

A skinny, bare-shouldered little boy had been eating a sandwich near the spot where Flor made his harsh landing. The child jumped and scrambled and in a panic covered himself with the sheet he'd been sitting on, flinging bits of bread and cheese and tomato.

With the sheet still draped over him, he skittered backward and started chucking food at Flor: an apple, a water bottle, a package of deli meat.

"GO AWAY!" He peeked over the edge of the sheet for a moment. The kid had a messy mop of yellow hair, bright green eyes, and the long drooping ears of a jackrabbit. He shoved his head under the sheet again and launched a ketchup packet at Flor.

Maria gasped. "Someone's in trouble! C'mon guys, we need to help them!" And with that, Maria was off, out the door and down the stairs. Idly, she started reciting a little nursery rhyme as she went. Out the door and down the stairs, to find the one screaming we go~ She couldn't quite think of a second verse, and she had arrived at the bottom of the stairs by then anyway. "Hi guys! I heard someone screaming from all the way upstairs. What's going on?" She seemed almost entirely unfazed by the child's rabbit ears, or if she was, she didn't show it.
I promise I'll post soonish. I've been in an (admittedly small) creative rut, plus I had a ton of homework due over pretty much the whole week. I'll see about getting one out tomorrow morning.
Man, I just can't think of anything for Camryn to do. She's nowhere near the action, and I feel like it'd me out of character to suddenly butt into Ethel and Angelo's little feud (assuming that hasn't already been resolved for the moment). Any suggestions?
@Mokley

Unfortunately, I don't have an excuse for not posting in the past day. I am gonna be out for the next few hours though.
Name: Antoni Entrerios.

Age: 20.

Gender: Male.

Race: Changeling (believes himself to be human).

Physical Description: Antoni is preternaturally tall (almost 7' 0"), and far thinner than anyone has any right to be, with bones showing against his skin almost everywhere. He has short brown hair, a mild tan, a large, pointed nose, and an eternally nervous expression. Most people that meet him assume that he's starving, rather than merely having barely enough skin to go around. Due to his height, he tends to wear whatever he can, which leads to an eclectic assortment of t-shirts, jeans, and especially baggy sweaters.

Personality: Kinda awkward, but nice enough. Stutters a bit, and has been that way since birth. Has garnered a reputation as a bit paranoid, mostly because he is. Very much a crowd-pleaser (at least, that's what he tries to be). Strangely enough, Antoni is a very good public speaker; he keeps the stutter, but all of his nervousness seems to melt away.

History: Antoni grew up in a small town in Catalonia, Spain, which was located between two rivers that split before they entered the town, then became one again as they left, making it a pseudo-island. Antoni was no different from any other child, save for his magical talent. His childhood was mostly that of a normal kid, though he was raised by his father, since his mother skipped out on them when Antoni was 1. He also had the addition of practicing his unique, water-based magic whenever he got a chance. He had always harbored an interest in other cultures and languages, and since there weren't any good colleges for that sort of thing nearby, he decided to go to college in Eagle Rock after hearing that their language program was particularly extensive. He's gotten an apartment near one of the nearby shallow lakes, and has a job at a bookstore in town. However, there's something Antoni doesn't know about himself; he's actually a changeling, and his mother was one of the more benevolent Winter fey (which isn't saying much), hence his affinity for water.

Skills: Public speaking, running, and speaking other languages (though understanding them is an entirely different story).

Powers: Antoni is a fairly good focused mage, specializing in water magic. His spells aren't affected by running water like other wizards, but to compensate, they're much less powerful. His best spell is to create a small jet of water and throw it at someone with force enough to take off someone's head, but it drains him quite a bit, so he tries to stick to things like a water whip, a la Katara. His magic is also useful for such things as healing magic (though the afflicted area needs to be wet for it to work), breathing underwater (only for a few minutes though), power over ice and water vapor (less powerful than plain water though), and various mundane utilities like chilling drinks and cleaning laundry.

Other: Has a knife that his parents gave him when he was a kid that he uses as both a keepsake and a focus. There's also a handy enchantment on it that lets it act as an impromptu flashlight. He's also fluent in Catalonian and Spanish, has a good enough grasp of English to understand his professors, and uses words in Basque to cast his spells, though he can't speak it outside those few words. His favorite drink is root beer.
I'd certainly still be interested in playing with only two other characters. Size isn't everything, of course. =P

Also, I've had RPs start with only a few people, then once it gets started, a few more people see it and go "Hey, this looks neat, I wonder if they still have spots open," and then we've got a decent number of players. So that could always happen.
This is really neat! I'm interested!
Gah, this group is so good! This is honestly one of, if not the, best RP I've ever been in. Thank you so much, everyone! =)
I'm also in. Hopefully this gets off the ground, it seems hella interesting!
