Woo, wow, look at all those cool characters popping up. O.o
Maybe Scarlet Witch could help our numerous magic users. Also, Rain would totally appreciate a workshop with Quicksilver lol. And where would we be without a Tony popping in every now and then? ;)
edit: @Chaotic Chao I already have a daughter of Tony going on. You can see the parents that have been 'taken,' or reserved in the OP.

Super speed - Rain can run really, really fast. It's to the point where the world seems to almost stop around her at top speed. Her body is reinforced to stand the forces that super speed creates. Her mind is also adjusted to make up for this change in perception - she thinks on an accelerated rate compared to normal people, so that she can adapt while running (which sometimes leads to quiet impatience - see: sighs). She can carry other people, but has to hold their head to prevent whiplash; everything would seem like a blur to them (but she isn't very strong, so wouldn't be able to take them with for long).
Skills of Note:
- Unassuming. People tend to think that she’s not a threat, and she doesn’t exactly look like a superhero. She’s sort of a fan of Natasha, since she’s also on the short side and is often underestimated too (from the stories she’s read, anyway). It can be an advantage for infiltration and combat.
- Perception. Rain tends to notice things other people might not when it comes to emotions and body language. She’s a good reader of how people are feeling, and although she’s often in the background, she tends to hear a lot more than those who always talk. This is a result of her being quite sensitive, and having a high EQ.
Psychological Profile
Mental Evaluation:
Subject is quiet and prefers to follow than dictate orders. Will require encouragement to engage villains and take the lead when needed. Thinks quickly and acts sometimes before her plan is formed. Shy, but friendly nonetheless. Above average intelligence, but does not voice views unless asked. Seems to have issues with not knowing father and a contentious relationship with mother as a result. Not eager to play with powers or experiment. High level of empathy and emotional intelligence.
Physical Evaluation:
Rain is on the small side for our recruits, at 5,2" and a slender, small build. Not strong, but can be remedied with training. Excellent cardio fitness. Long, slightly curly brown hair to mid-waist and gentle light blue eyes. 'Sweet,' facial features - difficult to view as a threat.
Biography:
Rain never knew who her father was. She grew up with her single South African expat mother in an apartment in New York, and lead a normal life - for the most part. Questions about her origins were met with stony walls and angry comments from her mother, and she struggled with the fact that her father wasn't in her life. When her powers came into being, her mother seemed to freak out; Rain couldn't understand why. Wasn't it a good thing?
Unfortunately, they were demonised and Rain was scared to so much as zip from one side of her small bedroom to the other. She was told that they had been granted by the Devil, and that it was even more punishment for, 'one stupid mistake 15 years ago' (Rain being 15 years old at the time). She was even thrown out of the house at one point, before being let back in a couple of days later. It messed with her head a little. This all seemed linked to her missing father, too - even more confusing.
When SHIELD started recruiting for their Academy, for some reason, they came to her. Rain was surprised - she hadn't exactly broadcasted her ability, but she'd certainly used it during those winter days and nights on the street. Deciding that it was a better option than staying with her crazy mother while trying to do college, she accepted their offer and made preparations to move.
DNA tests show paternal relation to Tony Stark. Unknown to subject.

Although only leanly muscular, he's quite a good runner. - Dancing. This guy can waltz, foxtrot, or cha-cha his way into your heart (these hips don't lie).
Psychological Profile
Mental Evaluation:
Subject greeted this researcher with a flirtatious wink, and proceeded to take a relaxed, albeit well-postured seat on the chair - clearly confident, and well-mannered as well. When asked about his journey here, he answered that it went wonderfully, and grinned widely. Throughout the entirety of the evaluation, Lokison was rarely not smiling. He is a jovial fellow, and was rather easy to work with - as well as being rather open.
He seemed proud of his abilities, and not ashamed of Loki Laufeyson being his father. Seemingly an optimist and a humourous personality to boot; the subject frequently guffawed at his own jokes, even at the expense of himself. Mischievous and a jokester, he poked at his glass of water no less than 3 times and froze it, as well as turning himself blue with red eyes - seemingly to get a reaction from this professional (and unfortunately, it did the first two times). This, too, he found hilarious - but Lokison is not cruel or malicious, and it showed through just how funny he found this simple trick of his.
Made his point clear when asked on certain matters, although he spoke diplomatically. Voice rather loud at all times, not only when stating facts (may need to be forced to use a 'mission voice'). Of middle to high intelligence, which is not surprising when his father is considered. Seemingly enjoys parties and frivolities, as well as 'beautiful women such as yourself.'
Copen Lokison will be a good addition to the SHIELD Academy, although he may need to be watched for practical jokes. In addition, tabs must be kept on his extracurricular activities. A demigod with a personality such as Copen's may be easily distracted...
Physical Evaluation:
Subject had immediate presence when walking into the examination room - perhaps due to his stature, at a very above-average 6,4" or the way he carried himself. He is used to striding palace hallways, and it shows. Despite the training that he received at Asgard, perhaps unfortunately, Lokison is still rather slender and fine-boned, with long pianist's fingers and slim hips. He resembles his father, Loki Laufeyson, in this regard. He is leanly muscular, moreso as a result of low body fat than training.
Unlike Loki, however, Copen has light honey-blond hair. It is of medium length, usually parted to the side with a slight waviness to it. A few strands fall to the side of his face in a pushed-over fringe of sorts. His eyes are a dark, navy blue set under light eyebrows that often arch (uncannily like his father). In addition, he inherited high cheekbones, fine bone structure and thin lips. He has a strong jawline that is slightly squared. Overall a charming-looking fellow, with good cardio fitness and a rather wide, white smile that seems almost too large for his face.
Biography:
Copen is the son of Loki Laufeyson and a woman that he fought alongside and eventually fell in love with. When Odin found this out, he forbade the union. However, it was too late - she was already pregant. The events of 'Thor' and 'The Avengers' occurred while Copen grew up with his mother. It was only after she died in battle that Loki, contentiously accepted back into Asgard by Odin (under close scrutiny). demanded Copen, 10 years old, be brought to him.
He was claimed by Loki as a son, to be raised as a warrior. Copen was taught some basic fighting, but his father focused more on teaching him magic. It took awhile, but he managed to learn how to do some basic invisibility and illusion. At the age of 15, his Frost Giant genes kicked in and he discovered that he had some skill with ice (albeit with the unfortunate effect of turning blue). He kept it secret for a while until his father found him experimenting. Oops.
His cousin, Magnus, was being sent off to the SHIELD Academy - and they got wind of Copen existing, too. They were quite persistent in requesting that he attend classes there as he could be a possible threat in the future. Loki was extremely reluctant - what with SHIELD being SHIELD - but Copen thought that it was the right thing to do. He could show them that he was no villain, right? Being a hero sounded cool anyway.

Psychological Profile
Mental Evaluation:
First impression of subject was that she is timid. Du Toit walked into the examination room with slightly tense, hunched shoulders and lowered eyes. Her voice was quiet, and it took a few questions before she was consistently looking me in the eye. However, she was never unfriendly nor rude in her ways - and although shy, this was probably exacerbated by the severity of the room. Her answers were clear, articulate and quickly spoken, sometimes before she'd fully thought through what she was going to say - not unlike some of our senior agents, unfortunately.
Gave an overall impression of someone who will, 'get things done,' but doesn't like to give orders herself. Will need encouragement to become a leader, as all recruits should do - it is never known if an agent will need to give orders in an emergency. Above average intelligence and novel ideas; however, thoughts had to be coaxed out of Rain.
It is known that the subject has a contentious relationship with her mother. When asked about this, she seemed to tense and break eye contact again. It appears that her mother did not appreciate her power, and that everything seemed somehow linked to her missing father (note: later revealed to be [CONFIDENTIAL]). I was slightly afraid that she might be trembling at the questions on her familial and friend relationships, and she could only recall one true friend she'd had when she was younger, before being forced to break all contact and move away.
As a result, she came across as slightly reluctant to use her powers in everyday life and almost unwilling to experiment with them. When questioned about any previous mental health issues (although her file showed none), she denied any. However, she proceeded to grasp at her arms self-consciously a moment or two later. During the physical evaluation, scars indicating self-harm could be found on her arms. We will need to watch her to make sure that there are no relapses.
The subject displayed high emotional intelligence during testing, as well as high empathy. She has a will to turn her powers to something good, and wants to help people. Experience has shown her abilities to be extremely useful in the right hands (ie Quicksilver), and it would be foolish to let her go. Hopefully, she will not be intimidated by the numerous handsome men and boys who have also been recruited...
Physical Evaluation:
Subject is on the lower end of average female height, at a rather small 5,2", far shorter than many of our recruits. However, this has not always been a disadvantage for agents (see: Agent Romanoff). She carried herself with good posture, although not elegant. Her build is small and slender, with little muscle. This can hopefully be remedied with training at the academy. She has excellent cardio fitness.
Her hair is dark brown and slightly curly to the bottom of her shoulder blades. Eyes are gentle-looking, a light bright-blue and wide, framed by eyelashes in a thin coat of mascara. Du Toit's features could be considered, 'sweet,' with a slightly naive quality to them - she would not be successful at seducing on missions, but could easily slip into places as she does not seem a threat. Her narrow chin dimples shallowly when she smiles, and her cheekbones are defined in her small face. A youthful looking girl, who could easily pass for two years younger than she really is.
Faded, silver scars litter her forearms, indicative of previous self harm issues. Newest seems to be around two years old. Horizontal to the arm, shallow. None on other parts of the body - subject to be observed for relapse. No record of treatment.
Her mother uprooted Rain from her home, and moved them across the country to an obscure small town toward the north. All ties were forced to be cut, even with her childhood best friend, and she became depressed. It naturally made her reluctant to make new friends, with her mother's erratic behaviour. Although she wasn't physically abused, there was an element of mental abuse in her life with her mother.
Rain fell into a deep depression. With no support system and seemingly no way out of her 'Devil-given' abilities, she turned to self harm to relieve her pain and had suicidal urges (never acted upon, thankfully). This lasted for around 3 years, through periods of healing and relapse, until she finally put down the razorblade for good. She never told anyone, and no-one ever found out. It wasn't like she had any real friends, anyway. Sometimes she still stays up late at night after a bad day, hugging her knees so tightly they turn white, suppressing her urges.

Ability Profile
Powers:
Spontaneous combustion: Subject can cause objects to suddenly burst into flame. Underdeveloped ability - current range of roughly 2m (radius). Should increase with practice. Requires no movement - only thought. Noted that emotion can cause spontaneous combustion, and has occurred during nightmares (treat subject with caution). Fire can be put out by subject, but in this case, subject is often too distraught or does not notice if asleep.
Pyrokinesis: Subject can create fire on their body (usually hands) and manipulate it in the air. It can be thrown (control is lost after 10m radius - again, may be developed further) and used to set fire to objects or people. Requires movement of the subject's body. She is also immune to fire.
Skills of Note:
- Dirty fighting. She's not skilled - she wasn't exactly fighting secret agents - but she knows how to use her environment to her advantage. It was basically self taught.
- Persistence - Avery is incredibly stubborn and unrelenting. If someone hits her, she'll hit them back. In the midst of a fight, she'll ignore her injuries and submit to blind rage. It's dangerous for her, but can be useful if they're on the losing side.
Psychological Profile
Mental Evaluation:
Subject stumbled into the examination room with chin held high, jaw tight and aggression in her eyes as she regained her balance to walk to the unoccupied chair. It appeared that she'd been in a small altercation with one of the agents outside before entering. She took a seat with a soft huff, looking across at the window before going back to me with an angry stare, breathing heavily. I could tell already that the subject was simmering, although she was not taking it out on me yet.
Questions asked to her were first answered in a strained tone, before her words started becoming sharp. She wasn't directly angry with me, although there were certainly some biting remarks and scathing stares. The subject seemed angry with the world in general, and especially with herself. Her hands formed into fists, shoulders tensing and eyes darting around the room for escape routes as we progressed.
When I touched upon her history with gang members, she seemed to become particularly incensed. My notes on the subject quickly bursted into flame. Her expression revealed her to be more scared than I when agents rushed in to douse the fire - before it was quickly covered up by aggression toward the agents. She noticeably flinched when one came too close, then started becoming hostile. I had to quickly send the agents out before anything arose.
Avery suffers from anxiety that she deals with by using anger - as opposed to 'flight,' she uses 'fight,' as her coping mechanism. At the mention of prescribing medication, she straightened with a set jaw and stared me down for a full minute before denying that there was anything wrong with her. I suspect that she may also experience panic attacks and sleeping issues, although she was extremely evasive on this subject. I could see that her pride would not allow her to take medication, but I will be prescribing medication to be made available to her in case she decides that she needs it.
Physical Evaluation:
Avery stands at 5,7" and around 125 pounds. She's very slim with strong arms and legs - fighting and running for your life will do that to you. She holds herself uncomfortably stiffly when angered, and always seems very aware of her surroundings - as if she never feels safe.
She's a pretty girl despite the often-hostile expression she has on her features, with high cheekbones and thin, arched eyebrows. Her eyes are large and green, and often accentuated by black eyeliner - to distract from the tired black circles that sometimes hang beneath them. She seems to have a habit of opening her eyes wider than a usual person would, to better express what she is saying or doing. Her hair is a medium brown that goes to slightly beneath her shoulders, usually in soft waves or pinned back. Avery's jawline is strong and angular, often set in tense restraint.
Biography:
Avery grew up in a bad part of New York City, with two parents who were forever arguing and a far younger brother, David. She and her sibling had a six year age gap, but were as thick as thieves. She often found herself caring for him, as her mother and father were often out of the old apartment or high or drunk. She was a defensive child at school, trying to keep up socially with little money or know-how while caring for David - but extremely selfless and caring toward him.
Life continued on as 'normal,' for the next 12 years, and occasionally Child Services checked in on them. They were never deemed a bad enough case to be taken away, and besides - Avery didn't want to leave her little brother behind. However, she was becoming anxious and overwhelmed by the responsibility that had been laden onto her shoulders. Sleeping problems and migraines started manifesting, and at age 17, her powers came into being. It started as her special secret, the way that she could light her candle at night. It progressed to more, although she always got scared and quit before it got out of hand.
Unfortunately, she had a terrible nightmare at age 18 that resulted in sleep paralysis. While the nightmare had been going on, her curtains had spontaneously combusted. As she became more and more afraid, other things started catching alight. When sleep paralysis ensued, she could but watch as fire crackled around her room, sneaking on the carpet and into the rest of the house. Smoke swept through it. When she could finally move, her clothes burnt from her body as she ran to try to save her parents and brother. They were asphyxiated.
The firemen rescued her, at a complete loss as to how she survived, and clothed her in a blanket as she sat in the back of the truck. Avery cried. She sobbed as the blaze simmered down, as they brought out the burnt bodies of her family, as the one fireman tried to get any sense out of her, as her tears ran out and all that was left was shaking shoulders and panicked breath. They left her alone, for just a moment, before what appeared to be a police officer approached her, asking that she come with them to make a report (or something like that - she couldn't remember anymore). Next thing she knew, she was bundled into the back of a car and something strong smelling was pressed to her mouth and nose.
Long story short, her father had been involved with an extremely powerful druglord. They'd taken her as a sort of 'payment.' On her first night, she was drugged and raped. In her semi-conscious, confused, disoriented and terrified state, she set the filthy bedding alight and burned the man violating her. The big boss realised the power he held in his hands, and set her out to lure in other debt owers by posing as a prostitute that killed them in dark alleys. They never dared touch her again.
Those months were long and hard and difficult. She developed severe anxiety, and experienced panic attacks - but she hid her suffering with anger. Avery grew a coping mechanism of anger and resentment in order to not go mad, punching the concrete walls of her cell and screaming until her voice grew hoarse. The only thing to do, she eventually realised, was to escape. She formed a delicate escape plan, and... well. It worked.
That night was the longest night that she ever experienced. Avery ran. And ran. And ran. Her chest grew tight with a panic attack as she hid inside a convenience store, before she forced herself to run again. She was unfit for running, and so tired, and sore, but she moved until her legs fell out from underneath her and all that she could taste was blood in her throat. By some miracle, they didn't catch her that night, slumped behind a dumpster she'd crawled behind.
Avery never regained her freedom after that day. Scarred by her rape and treatment by the gang, she couldn't bear to be in closed spaces or close to any men for a long, long time. She came and went in womens' shelters, eventually growing more used to quieter men and closed quarters. Forever she was looking over her shoulder for someone to take her away, to grab her arm and throw her back in that small room. She was still angry, and became known as the woman to avoid in the shelters - occasionally starting fights, screaming and usually rude to others, even those with good intentions.
Avery still used her powers. They were useful for warming up at night, or for scaring would-be creepers away. She had been kicked out of a shelter for aggressive behaviour and it was cold, early January. Snow had fallen. Avery had been walking - what else could she do other than sit? - and it was a cold night. As sometimes happened, a man decided he'd taken a liking to her and started following her.
Bruce Banner also happened to be getting himself some groceries that fateful evening, when he spotted the man following the hunched shoulders of Avery, and turning a sharp left to follow her into an alleyway. Bruce, being the upstanding citizen that he was, immediately followed at a run. He expected to have to pull him off her - but, instead, saw her fending him off with a swirl of fire. Bruce stood there for a moment, a small expression of wonder on his face despite himself. He tried to talk to her afterwards, but she yelled something abusive before taking off.
Bruce made a point of encountering her throughout his daily routine a couple of times, and they established a small rapport. He would bring her something warm to drink or eat, and she would take it while looking at him with guarded, hostile eyes. Occasionally a biting remark would escape her, or she would flinch away if he moved too close or too quickly - but his kindness burrowed deep within her bruised and beaten heart. He quietly explained his own experience as they sat on benches, a good half metre between them, and she would listen. He, too, got angry. He, too, had done things he regretted. The space between them grew smaller. When he asked her if she would join the Academy, it took a couple of days for her to come around. But she did.
Maybe things didn't need to burn anymore.

After that slightly embarrassing greeting, Rain pretty much avoided looking at the cowboy sitting a seat over from her. What would he think of her, all pink and barely able to say a word? It was ridiculous, but try as she might, she couldn't control herself sometimes. Their final stop picked up yet another godlike young man, and she decided to not try to greet him right away. She'd introduce herself later. It would probably only come out as another small sound if she said anything right now.
A moment later, there was a loud screech and the jet lurched. Being rather light, Rain did not manage to stay put (in hindsight, she probably should have been wearing her seatbelt). She was jolted to the side, toward the cowboy - and yep, straight into his lap. A soft scream had escaped her at both the noise and the way her world had turned. She'd managed to elbow the guy next to him, too.
The next jerk frightened her even more, and she ended up clutching at the poor cowboy's arm out of instinct, trying not to fall off him and onto the floor. "Sorry!" she squeaked (again) amongst all the turmoil and voices in the background. Her small hand didn't even fully go around his bicep, what with him being so big.
Ahh I am done with exams too! The happiness is real.
EDIT: Also I am 10/10 dreaming of the Valentine's Dance now hot damn. Like will there be drama?? Nobody knows! Also cute dancing is a must. Copen whirling people around in a waltz yes please (because that boy can dance)
