Oh no! This saddens me greatly.

To be honest. I felt that it was going along just fine. Nothing bad has happened so far. People were mostly talking with each other. I wouldn't mind at all if this kept going at its current pace. I have seen nothing wrong so far. I for one can completely understand if you're having little time for this. But if it's really that bad and you have no time at all then I guess there is nothing that can be changed...

But still... Are you still absolutely sure you want to quit? I'd hate to see that happen. :(
Vosswald - Village/Town House - Kiryu, Alessia, Yuki

One by one more people began pouring in, one weirder than the other. But then again Vosswald was aware that he was most likely the weirdest of the bunch right now. For now he decided to just stand and observe what happens around him. The newcomers were talking to what appeared to be the town elders. The tone of the conversations differed from person to person. Some of them were argumenting harshly. Others have shown what can only be described as utmost humility.

The nature of these conversations remained a mystery to him but one thing was for certain; The elders were inspecting the newcomers. Maybe they were relatives? Was some kind of reunion festival being held? Were they unsatisfied with how their younger relatives presented themselves? He was not sure but he found it rather unlikely. From what he observed the village seemed to be in rather poor condition. No men were in sight and all that remained were women, children and elders. Could it be that the men have been conscripted for a war?

All of a suddenly Vosswald didn't feel that comfortable anymore. It was then that he became aware of a small group of elders approaching him. Vosswald straightened his back and clicked his heels together.

"And who is this?" "He doesn't look from around here." "What's that sword?" "I think he could use a bath.."

Vosswald held his breath. He didn't want to appear rude as long as he wasn't talked to directly.

"Welcome, stranger. Did you come here to protect us?"

He remained quiet.

"Eh... Or are you just passing through? I'm sure you could rest here for a while, eat a little, maybe you'd like a bath?... Why not stay here for a while? We can find you a nice place to stay, maybe even a girl... Men have been scarce around here since the war started... What do you say? Eh... you listening, young man?"

Vosswald slowly shook his head.

"Es tut mir Leid. Ich verstehe Sie nicht.

"Ahh,... yes... I should have known. Well, are you at least good with your sword? You know, your sword?"
The old man pointed a finger at the longsword hanging from Vosswald's belt and made a swinging motion.

"Ah! Mein Langschwert!
Vosswald freed the sword from its sheath. It shined brightly in the sun as he held it in front of him. Although his clothes have been dirtied during his travels he tried extra hard to keep his sword in its pristine condition.

The elders began murmuring between themselves.
"I have never seen such a sword before. It's not even curved!" "I think he knows what he's doing. Look how he is holding it with only one hand. I think we could use this boy." "Yup, it's not like we can afford to be picky these times..."

Nodding in agreement, the old men began to usher him towards one of the buildings. Vosswald was more or less forced to follow them. He was still not sure what exactly was happening now but he was not about to refuse their hospitality.

"Just this way, young man. We'll get you a warm meal, bath and a nice new set of clothes. It's not like my son needs them anymore..."

Vosswald looked back to his companions.

"They your friends? They can come too. The more the merrier, right? Hahaha..."

Is allowing the NPCs to be controlled by just anyone a good idea? It seems like it could be too easily taken advantage of.Also, I'm not entirely sure how or what the elders would say or even be like.

I have to agree there. I'd rather have them being controlled by a GM. Even if it's just a short and generic introduction.
Vosswald - Village/Ayame's House - Kiryu, Alessia

Although not entirely sure what exactly has been said Vosswald was certain that this has been taken care of. He assumed that the young woman belonged to the girl's family. Maybe she was her sister.

Having nothing better to do he decided to to keep following the shirtless man towards the center of the village. Maybe something interesting would happen.
It's ok. You're pretty busy after all. Also, sorry for me forgetting to put location and all that on top of each post.
I also admire your dedication.
Just that you know. I'm still following Bee's character.
Vosswald noticed the now shirtless man greeting him and quickly responded with a short but somewhat sloppy salute as he walked past him. Whatever happened here has been settled as it seems. He was even decent enough to give the girl his shirt.

Having nothing better to do, Vosswald simply shrugged at the two other figures, wondering for a moment if they were familiar with this gesture, before deciding to follow the shirtless man to whatever destination he has chosen.

it was a reflection/backstory basically. then he smelled blood so he went to go investigate. so far he is set apart from everyone, already on the side of the brother with the demons. he has his own little group of demons and that post was supposed to explain why. I was writing a a chance to initiate contact with Rumiko's character who had killed an oni demon. the scent of blood was supposed to be from there. if its not clear i dont mind brushing it up. its not insulting, it criticism, and i don't mind it.

Ah, I see. Maybe you should try to make it more clear next time. So that stupid I doesn't have any problems.
Not meant to be insulting or anything but I just can't seem to understand what Nicias Askani is writing in his posts. I can't place it...
Vosswald let go off his sword. He was reliefed that the situation seemed to be normal. However, he still wondered what exactly transpired here. Why was the girl holding a dead fish? Why did that man looks so ragged? And why did that women have red hair? Maybe these were her parents? Unlikely. It could be that the fish had been a pet and now they were holding some kind of funeral for it. It would not surprise him considering how different the customs of this land were to his own.

Vosswald remembered when his pet hamster Roland died. Bitten to death by those vile, naked-tailed rodents! He tried to give him a proper funeral, carefully preparing a miniature funeral pyre. It had been a moment of great significance in his life. To this day he still feels the reassuring presence of Roland whenever he looks at a flame.

He noticed that he had been lost in thought and snapped out of it. Hopefully nobody noticed.
