When he didn’t notice her at first she let out a slow breath, her body relaxing just a little before she peeked and watched him leave for the eating room where all the tables were. Waving the water bottle at the old witch, literal witch sitting off to the side to watch for misbehaving kids in her kitchen the old woman smiled at Madelyn making Madelyn smile back just a little. Madelyn knew the demon was out there but didn’t want to seem more out of sorts then she already was. She took in a deep breath and pushed through the doors breaking the seal on her water bottle and tipping it to her lips as she drank.
Letting the bottle down she brought up her free hand to swipe along her lips before starting to twist the cap back on the bottle. She could feel the demon getting up and walking towards her. She glanced up trying to act like she hadn’t known he was coming. Her eyes were guarded though, the worry showing but the fear showing a slight blankness in her face, but that didn’t mean her body wasn’t tense in front of the demon. She forced a small smile. “Drank too much.” She lied easily as she waved the water bottle for him to see. A totally different lie then the one she told Luca but she knew the two would never talk and if they did, it would be a sight to see even for her.
She was a little shocked though that he just got up and left after that. She stood there watching him leave without a word before she glanced down at the water bottle clasped between her two hands as they started to shake a little. “Breath Maddie, breath. They. .. are like him, they’d never. . . let you near that kind.” She whispered to herself before she could feel the darkness within her stirring. Her eyes went wide as she glanced around, she needed to get to her room and now, before he started talking to her. That was never good when they started talking.
Her heart was racing quickly as she started to speed walk through the hallways and then taking the stairs two at a time. “
What are you running from my dear?” The voice echoed in her mind her eyes going wide as she whipped her head around almost tripping on the stairs. She gasped her water bottled slipping from her hands as she broke her fall making it roll down the stairs.
“Stop it.” She whispered feeling her eyes starting to tear up. The thumbing of her water bottle only making her heart start to race more. Her eyes flickered down to the water bottle and rather than going down to get it she picked to start up the stairs stumbling a little.
“
You can never get away from me my dear.” His voice hushed again making her hands come up to her ears.
“Stop it!” She screamed now crying softly before making it into a full blown run down the hallway.
“
Stop and start drawing you stupid whore.” The demon then hissed making her body stop quickly making her stumble a little. Her hand clinched into a first as her other hand came to grip her wrist her whole body shaking. “
DO IT” He roared making her sob.
“Help.” She whispered softly. “Make it stop. Make him stop.” She whispered just hoping someone could stop her before she could no long fight back against her master’s control over her and she’d summon him in her own blood even if it killed her to do so.
Luca couldn’t help but chuckle softly, his lips parting to show his fangs as he did so. “You could be my baby doll.” He hushed back at her before Arik pulled her back as if trying to claim her as his making Luca frown deeply. Anyone looking could see his fang tips pointing out just below his upper lip as he frowned, her eyes glaring back at the other male. However, Luca didn’t have to do anything for as usual Lia stood up for herself. That didn’t stop Luca from noting the pendant that started to glow, his eyes shfting from Arik to it before flickering back as he was brought back up. Luca couldn’t help but grin at the other male as he leaned back on the log of wood they were sitting on. He relaxed beside the woman who was not claiming she’d rather spend time with him then Arik. Although that didn’t mean he didn’t hear the comment about not getting with Luca because of his player ways.
Challenge accepted.
It was only when Arik slipped out of the glow of the fire that Lia started to relax again, the pendant doing the same. She stood up and Luca watched her, staying in his relaxed pose leaning back, he couldn’t help the half smirk that came onto his face as Lia turned around and smirked at him. She didn’t just storm off and leave him like she usually would have. He leaned up a little letting his fingers run along under his chin again bring his face closer to her’s now fully smirking as well. “You want a drink? I guess even someone of your standing could want a little fun here and there. I’m sure I could never get you to let me have a little taste of you? It’s a rush you’ll never forget.” He said as his fingers then trailed down to her neck and touched the spot where her plus was just lightly a flash of red coming into his brown eyes before disappearing. He couldn’t help but lick his lips at the thought of drinking her blood and having his way with her. “But perhaps for now alcohol will do for now.” He finished the soft lull of his voice disappearing for now.
Pushing up with ease as the freaky blonde demons spoke with Lia, his eyes glancing over to the fire with a distaste for it, despite liking the feel of the warmth touching his cool body. He only pulled away from watching the flames when Lia tapped his arm making him glance over lazily at her before grinning again and following easily beside her. “So what is your poison?” He asked truly wondering what the demon girl liked to drink. Just before they came to the ballroom the warm air hitting them despite it leaking out through the open doors. There were still a lot of people in there and that was most likely the only reason it was still overly warm in the room as bodies pressed up against on another other drinking themselves to a bad hangover for the next morning.
When they came up to Silva he eyed the other vampire giving her a small wink as she and Lia talked. Luca didn’t have to ask for a cup, a mixture of blood and wine. He had only just gotten his red cup when Lia finished downing her own. He couldn’t help but chuckle a little. “Did Arik bother you that much?” He said with a smirk before downing his own. “I’d enjoy watching you do some shots if you’re ever up for it.” He finished before she started to walk out to the dance floor making Luca shake his head before glancing up at Silva. “Does she ever stop running?” He asked her before throwing his cup on a table carelessly before easily side stepping through the bodies to her’s.
His hands gentle touched along her sides before sliding down to touch her hips, his head leaned forward and whispered. “Mind if I cut in.” He hushed her softly yet loud enough to be heard over the music. He let his breath linger along his neck as his body pressed along her’s making sure that they would be grinding like everyone else in the room. Hopefully no lameass slow song would cut in on his little bit of action with the girl no one could get close to.
