Now just Quirks I think. And remember that those powers would be evolving over time as he learns better control over them. Upon Alexander learning a new skill or overcoming a drawback, the sheet will be updated. Empathy is a very widespread ability. This is what I'm talking about, except without the direct influence or control over anyone else.

Appearance

Standing at 5' 9" and weighing 173 pounds, Alexander has a thin frame with no visible muscles. His pale skin pigmentation matched his white hair, which inexplicably lost its natural color upon the activation of his power. His eyes are naturally a steely gray, though they change color depending on which emotions Alexander is controlling. Since then, Alexander enjoys dying his bangs to add some color back to his hair. His flat chest, thin hips, and small buttocks give him a somewhat masculine, if childish, appearance.

Powers

Empathy

Alexander is highly attuned with emotions, to the point he is able to recognize and experience the emotions of others.

He is able to create constructs out of his own emotions, with varying added effects determined by which emotion is used.

Weaknesses/Limitations

Alexander is unable to turn off or tune out this ability. He is always experiencing the emotions of those near him. This causes constant headaches and confusion as to which emotions are Alexander's own.

Alexander cannot influence people directly with his power.

Stressful situations may cause Alexander to use his abilities unwillingly.

Overuse may cause Alexander to lose control, results varying depending on emotion used.

Only emotions Alexander is currently experiencing can be used to create constructs.

This ability has a range of 25 feet.

Personality

Alexander's personality can seem entirely different from one sentence to the next at times, sometimes seeming to change even in the middle of one. This is because at these times he is struggling to maintain what little of his own sentiments that he can due to an overwhelming amount of emotions from different people. If many people near him are experiencing different feelings, this will cause mood swings. Should they all be relatively around the same emotion, Alexander will gravitate towards that emotion.

This is not to say that he does not have a personality of his own. When not afflicted by the conflicting feelings of large groups, Alexander is most often a calm and gentle person. He tends to try sticking to himself, but will not actively avoid people should they approach him, or if he has somewhere he needs to go. During interactions with people, Alexander does his best to act kindly, knowing all too well that even words can hurt.

Backstory

Born in Los Angeles to the name Alexandria and in a female body, Alexander has felt out of place in the world for as long as he can remember. He acted notably different from the girls, causing him to be picked on from an early age. This didn't help Alexander, who fell into a depression.

As he grew older, Alexander learned why he felt as though he didn't belong, beginning to act on it by dressing in boys' clothing and cutting his hair short, and taking up the name Alexander instead of Alexandria. He began feeling more confident in himself, without caring much for how others thought of him. As time went on Alexander fell into the punk scene, finding it was just his kind of style. Preppy polos and khakis turned to ratty t-shirts and baggy jeans with tears, and Alexander became a greater social pariah than before.

He went through school like this, picked on thoroughly for who he was on the inside. Alexander did his best to avoid the verbal abuse, though things only became more physical. He started getting shoved in the hall, beat up after class. Having no way to defend himself, Alexander just took the beatings. Teachers and principles did nothing to help, and so this ended up being Alexander's daily school life.

Time passed, Alexander had become a complete loner, staying away from others to avoid conflict. This still didn't work too well, and Alexander still had to deal with rumors and verbal assaults. As he neared the age of 18, Alexander's abilities began to awaken in small amounts. For the first time in years Alexander was able to experience joy and happiness for reasons he didn't understand.

This peaceful phase did not last long, as soon his powers had developed fully. Alexander became overwhelmed quickly by everything he felt from those around him, falling into dazes as he attempted to sort through his mind to find which emotions were his own or sometimes succumbing to fits of screaming. It was not long before the test came on his 18th birthday, marking him as a Malfunction.

Alexandria sat in her seat and stared intently at the starting lights. Her foot pressed the clutch pedal down to the floor as she waited in first gear, revving the engine to three thousand RPMs. The race was about to start and she was in her own world. All she could see now was the red light telling her to wait patiently. The light suddenly turned yellow, and Alexandria gripped the wheel and shifter knob tightly.

As the light changed to green, she released the clutch pedal, warm tires chirping as they struggled to maintain what grip they could. The car jerked forward, and climbed towards redline quickly. Alexandria stomped the clutch in a few hundred RPMs below the red to keep it in the powerband, pulled the knob straight down into second, gassed it good and let her foot off the clutch in an instant, causing the car to take off as the clutch grabbed the gear. Her exhaust could clearly be heard through the dual straight pipes, turbines in her compressors sounding like jet engines as they spooled up to speed.

Alexandria was already pulling away from the competition, with only two others managing to hold their own against her engine's sheer power. "I suppose this may get interesting if they can keep up with me around the corners," A smirk crossed her lips as she looked out her windows to see her competition. "Moira, looks like we'll get to have some fun. And the other one... Looks like Brown's car." The engine roared as it neared redline again, and Alexandria tilted the wheel over to the left slightly. The car steadily moved to the left side of the track as she once again depressed the clutch pedal in order to shift up from second to third. The noise under her hood quieted as the RPMs dropped, and Alexandria straightened the wheel as she got ready to cut to the right to make the inside of the turn and the next in a smooth race line.
