Evaluation Observations:
Tami is a walking burst of sunshine. She has such a bubbly and bright aura around her it literally fills any room she happens to be in. She appears open, friendly and very approachable; instantly ready to offer her assistance where she can even if she's busy herself. Very much a people person. She manages to convey the sense that she sees the world in a bubble of child like innocence, finding joy in the slightest thing and trying to share that with those around her. She always has a smile to put people at their ease, making them feel they can trust her and feel comfortable round her. She is an extremely hard worker and pulls more than her own weight during her shifts but doesn't go out of her way to seek praise for it. She adores her patients and treats them like her own children, sometimes mollycoddling them a little too much.
Actual Personality:
Tami is not the sort to mask her true personality and what you see is mostly what you get but lately she is using it to hide her growing stresses and anxieties in her personal life. Acutely aware of her biology clock it seems as if her and her husband's attempts to have a child are failing. Worried she's left it too late, she throws herself in to her work. Surrounding herself with babies, she uses them as a balm to her soul which agonizes over her unlikely prospects of motherhood. This coupled with a strain in her marriage has brought dark clouds around her head. However, she always puts other people first and feels if she isn't her usual cheery self then she can't brighten other people's day so she amplifies her already sunny personality to ensure it obscures what's lying under the surface. While she won't go out of her way to hide her personal life from others if asked about it, she glosses over how much she is really feeling the strain of it all and tries to keep herself as busy as possible so she doesn't sit and think about it for too long.
History:
Tamara Louise Hayes (neé Norris) was born in Cambridge, England. Her mother and father were both from a medical background but it was her grandmother - who had practiced midwifery herself - who really inspired her to become a Midwife. She trained at the University of Coventry and landed her first job at a hospital in London aged 23 where she met her husband, Phillip Hayes. He was 30 at the time and some of her colleagues tried to warn her that he wasn't right for her but she stubbornly continued to date him and the couple were married in 2009. He was working to become a manager at the hospital but after some set backs and a lack of progression he began to broaden his horizons. In 2017 he took a job offer in California without consulting his wife first and that's when cracks began to show. She was extremely upset at leaving her friends and family in England but felt she had no choice but to follow her husband out to America. She managed to secure a job at Caduceus Memorial Hospital and is one of the newer members of staff having only been working here for a few months. Her husband had kept putting her off the idea of children until they were "sufficiently settled" and she had believed him for a number of years but with a new move on and another excuse of them not being "sufficiently settled" enough is making her wonder if he ever does want to have a family. This is putting a huge strain on their marriage and her anxiety about it is slowly starting to creep through her usually radiant outlook on life.
