Talents
Dueling – Marcus spent time as a Death-Eater. As such, he learned quickly how to fight most effectively and how to dispatch his opponents quickly rather than drawing out a battle. He’s good with defensive spells and also, obviously, offensive spells.
Quick – Since Marcus was almost constantly fighting, he had to know how to use what spells for attacking and defending quickly. He’s very good with recognizing which spells may be coming at him and what spells he needs to use to defend such spells.
Speech Craft – While he is not very adept with actual Charm spells, Marcus is very good at speaking with people and swaying them to see from his point of view, or at least not killing him for his.
Weaknesses
Bad Past – Since he was once with the Death Eaters, people often view him as a terrible person, typically believing he is only acting as a spy for Voldemort.
Any other school of magic – While Marcus excels at defense and offensive spells, almost anything else is foreign to him. He knows a few lower skilled spells from each, but nothing special.
Deep Fear – Marcus has a deep fear of Voldemort, he will almost be paralyzed by the sight of him. While he may of fought side-by-side by him at one point, he got to see Voldemort’s power up close and personal and it’s something he does not want to encounter.
Anger – Marcus can get disturbed very easily. While he won’t explode or attack someone who wrongs him, but he will obviously be upset. He keeps it to himself mostly, trying to avoid conflict if needed, then he’ll use it in a future battle.

Biography
Views
At one point in time, Marcus thought he was above Muggles and Muggleborns. But, since his joining of the Ash group, he has started to change his views, seeing them as equals and sometimes even better than himself. The only people he really has a problem with anymore are goblins, but he tries his best to be civil around them.
History
At 5 years old, Marcus was orphaned when a drunk driver hit his parents who were coming home from a date. Marcus was put in an orphanage and adopted by a Muggle family when he turned 7. Marcus attended Hogwarts as a Slytherin and graduated in 1988, 8 years before Hogwarts would be overtaken by Voldemort. In Hogwarts, he was mostly interested in the Dark Arts, taking as few classes in other subjects. After he was finished at Hogwarts, he wasn’t very sure what to do with himself. He wanted to do something with the Dark Arts though, and wanted nothing to do with Muggles. He held strong resentment towards Muggles since his parent’s death, and he even hated his foster family. Marcus had heard much of Voldemort’s infamous Death Eaters, but was never really sure about joining them. He hated Muggles, but killing them and even other wizards/witches seemed wrong to him. But one faithful day, he ran into a Death Eater and was quickly swayed and recruited. After a bit more training with the Death Eaters, he was initiated and given The Mark.
Marcus spent many years killing and fighting for the Death Eaters. To be truly accepted by Voldemort, he killed his own foster parents to show his loyalty. After 9 years of being Voldemort’s pawn, Marcus decided he had had enough. He didn’t want to kill innocent people anymore, his consciousness caught up with him, and his guilt weighed heavily on him. So he tried to flee. When he started to desert though, two lesser Death Eaters had discovered of his plan to leave. A large fight ensued and, while Marcus had won, he was injured. Nothing permanent, but it severely affected his ability to quickly get away. Before he was well enough to really get out of Voldemort’s clutches, he was encountered again by one Death Eater, a more high-ranking one than the previous two though. The Death Eater gave Marcus an ultimatum; be taken in as his prisoner and presented to Voldemort or die. Marcus didn’t need much more time to heal, so he shot at him quickly and took a hit to his shoulder before performing a quick apparition. Again, the apparition went wrong and his leg was badly damaged. He went into hiding in the woods near Hogsmead for several weeks before he was finally well enough to run again. When he finally did get up the strength to apparate again, he went in searching for people he could join to fight against Voldemort. After a year of unsuccessfully looking, he started hearing rumors of The Ashes rising up after Dumbledore’s death. Marcus quickly located them and asked to join on the spot. But he was quickly put in cuffs for his old crimes. He spent 4 months trying to convince them to let him fight with them until they finally allowed him to. Thus Marcus joined The Ashes, eager to fight and destroy the Death Eaters he once fought side-by-side with.
Wand
Ebony wood, 12 ¼ inches, Dragon Heartstring core, Slightly yielding flexibility
Extra Information
Marcus holds his wand differently than most. Instead of holding it as an extension of his arm, he holds it between his middle and ring fingers on his right hand, with the tip of the wand pointing it back. He believes it makes casting spells quicker, but the spells are weaker. He switches to holding it normally when he wishes to fire a spell more powerfully.
