Sweet, sounds good. I also agree that a small group would be good for this especially if you wanna focus on character-to-character relations. Having a big group could take away from the quality of individual and group character development.

Yeah man thats totally what I was thinking, adding to that the fact that the rp is intended to start out with a fairly established community and I feel like small group is just a better way to go. Atleast starting out.

As of right now I am thinking on how all the characters meet/wound up together+where in the rp we should actually kick things off. I was thinking of setting it a year into the outbreak so things could have already gone to shit-but then that begs the question of what the hell our characters were doing for that whole year/how well established their little base is.

I mean there are a plethora of ways to deal with this, just wanted to talk about it with others.
I'm interested! I have an ex-villain and normie character in mind, but I'd be find just playing the normie if we have a lot of powered characters.

Also if you wanna do a small group, and I'm too late, that's fine too, haha. Here's hoping though

Awesome to see the interest Kid-and Im totally cool with 5 rpers startin out. Plus like I said, who knows if everyone will want to/ be able to join that showed interest from the start.
@Tuxedo Foxif that's what you're wanting to do then I'm down for it

Well I'm more after your guys's general oppinions-like feel free to disagree if you'd like.

"However - it would appear as though you have done our job for us and uh... 'Convinced' the Templars here to stop living, so uh... Well done on that, we'll still take the reward for it if you don't mind."

Flint let out a deep bellowing laugh, the body shaking display of humor literally causing various beads interwoven into his beard to jangle noisily against his metal breastplate. He immediately liked the mage, or at the very least was doing a somewhat convincing display of acting like he did. "I like the way this one talks." Flint spat in a hushed tone while giving a sideways glance and toothy grin towards Erika. The brief look only lasted a second but in that amount of time Flint was able to get across to Erika that he indeed saw no threat from this random pair-likewise he quickly studied her expression well aware that she had reached a somewhat similar conclusion. It was the unspoken bond rarely seen in partners that had worked far to many high risk jobs together in the past.

After laughing over the implausibility of the two newcomers being a pair the man who Flint would come to know as Nolan went on to more properly introduce himself. "Well, myself - Nolan, by the way - and my companion here, Knight-Lieutenant Clara, are, or rather - were - here for some..." He paused, thinking of the best way to describe it. "Aggressive negotiations."

Glancing toward the cave-in once more, Nolan cleared his throat. "However - it would appear as though you have done our job for us and uh... 'Convinced' the Templars here to stop living, so uh... Well done on that, we'll still take the reward for it if you don't mind."

After listening to Nolan Flint let out another toothy fit of laughter as he was prone to do when his mind began to formulate mischievous ideas.

Reward.

Reward.

Reward.

The words echoed within his head as he quickly spoke up in response. "Reward, eh? Everyone knows a dwarf can appreciate a man wanting his well deserved reward. Am I right, Erika?" he asked rhetorically while getting a nod in confirmation from his companion. "What if I could offer you both an even bigger reward though?" He slung his shield over the makeshift prongs on the back of his armor, the small protuding pieces of metal allowing him to neatly keep his shield clung to his back. Likewise he dropped his mace between a similar looking contraption on his belt, the inverted slots of metal allowing his mace to fall into a wedge of sorts that kept the deadly weapon secured tightly against his hip.

Making his way over to Nolan far faster then his little legs should have been able to carry his metal encased body Flint slung his arm over the man as if the two were old friends, the odd sight looking even more comical due to Flints small stature. "So Nolan, names Flint by the way-big fan of the wardens-Who isn't though, amiright? Anyways, what if I could offer you all an even bigger reward? Me and my friend here well, we are both quite the, uhm, how did you put it?" He paused momentarily locking eyes with Nolan while sporting his infectious toothy grin. "Aggressive negotiators. And it just so happens we have quite a bit of...uhm, negotiating to do with some undesireable types that have recently opened up a mine here." Using his large stocky frame Flint spun Nolan slightly so the odd pair was now facing Clara, Flints beady hazel eyes locking place with Clara's metallic visor in a way that garnered her full attention. "A lyrium mine. And we could always use another hand or two when it comes to negotiations-after all as I'm sure you know meetings of that sort usually get pretty heated. Perhaps we could arrange something that benefits all four of us? After all we do work for the Divine herself." Again Flints eyes particularly lit up when mentioning the Divine to Clara, as if trying to make her feel like it was her duty to help out.

In all honesty Flint just wanted to lessen the chances he would be the one to take a fireball to the face today.
@Pundii

Lmao, loved the hard in hightown reference man. Fuckin gold.
woot that makes four

@The Kraken
Honestly I'm considering stopping admissions at just the four characters-I'm well aware not everyone that has shown interest is guaranteed to join (and im fine reopening those spots if they don't) but for now I'd really like to just colab with a tight knit group of people until things are really running.

What alls your guys thoughts on that?
Ah my friend you have yet again come up with an idea that I must throw my interest in on. Very cool idea here

lol not even jokein when I say I almost sent you a pm prior to postin this, but then I was like "Nah I don't want them to feel pressure to join."
@Ulstermann

Sorry it took me so long to keep a post up bro-hectic day yesterday lol.

Edit-Oh yeah, meant to tell ya to shoot me a pm if ya wana colab some paragraphs together for any ensuing lighthouse battles lol.

SECONDARY QUEST- A Light in the Darkness

Boss let out a laugh “Don't let her hear ya say that, her heads Big enough already. But yeah, I'm all ready to head out.” Letting go of Asshead who he'd still been leaning on to for support Boss could feel the plethora of drugs he had takein begin to fully take effect, a slightly numb and spacey feeling somewhat clouding his mind causeing him to reflixivley stare at his recently injured arm, his eyes stuck in momentary fascination as he watched the delicate muscles in his hand work in proper order.

Despite all the meds his arm still stung quite a bit; even worse in his mind was the realization that he now had to add yet another patch to his worn out duster. Atleast he still had an arm though.

He snapped back to attention when Carson spoke up, the man he had only known for a short while surveying the lighthouse with what looked like a rather nice pair of binoculars. Looking at the remains of what was locally known as the Southern Star strewn across the rocky shores of the small island-it was quite the sight Boss thought, the massive damage done to the ship speaking volumes to how committed the Order had been to sinking this ship. To bad the raiders seemed to have a decent Captain;someone who had been skilled enough to steer the failing ship to land before completely losing control.

Carson lit a cigar, smoking thoughtfully for a moment as Boss continued to survey the scene. "So we go through the ship, kill anything that looks at us the wrong way, get to the lighthouse, turn on the light, and rescue Hartmann.  Simple, right?"

Boss scoffed, quickly adding as Carson handed the binos to him. “Yeah, those simple plans always go smooth.”

"Have a look-see, tell me if I missed anything. Remember that the Marauder captain has a price on his head too, we might wanna collect his scalp if we meet him."

Carson finished as Boss took the offered pair of Binoculars, the little hand held device allowing him to see the number of men Carson spoke of much more clearly. Most mulled about or fucked with their weapons, often smoking and just looking for something to do in general. Of course they were also keeping a watchful if somewhat unatentive eye out for any intruders; no doubt their day would be ruined if they missed the chance to shoot some innocent bastard in the head.

Looking for anything that stood out or was worth taking note of Boss was somewhat surprised to find that nothing seemed to catch his eye; although he did notice that there was ample cover from the various wreckage and cargo strewn about the shore. Atleast that was something.

“Nothin stands out, just abuncha degenerate fucks. Nobodies walkin around like they are in chare iether-big guy is probably held up inside the actual lighthouse.” He tossed the binoculars back to Carson. “Leme just tell Cat to keep the motor runnin and grab some slugs, you see somethin on deck you wana bring to the party be my guest. Keep the items value under 100 caps though, can't forget I got a bottom line to take look after.” Without waiting for a response Boss turned to go and talk to Cat while simultaneously lighting up a cigarette. He returned moments later cradling his shotgun like a baby.

“Lets go get your buddy.” He pumped his shotgun, the familiar cha-chunk sounding in the air as a fresh shell found its way into the chamber. “And earn some caps while were at it.”

About to fall in line with Carson Boss quickly turned, as if suddenly remember something important. "Oh and you!" He barked at AssHead who had been following him like a dog. "You stay here and watch the ship with Cat, shoot any unwelcome guests. Ok?"

Asshead let out an affirmitive but somewhat sad sounding gurgle of a noise.
