Having been transported away from the Orphanage the teen had a brief opportunity to speak with Blaque. Being out and around others, much less out of her cage, was somewhat overwhelming. And while she voluntarily signed on with her liberators she really had no idea what she was getting into. She did however know what her captors had been attempting to turn her into, a weapon. While they may had accomplished that they never had been able to break her down enough to make her cooperate. Not that she was intentionally aware of it at all times, just that their modifications made it difficult. And yet the freedom she now had didn't feel like it meant much. Without a purpose what did it matter where she was? So perhaps this was her grasping at some kind of meaning in this time of uncertainty.
Existential ramblings aside it wasn't long before Lydia was moved to the Holton Slums base. While she didn't really get the chance to see how to get there she did memorize the turns and had an extremely rough idea of how far they traveled. Not that it meant much at this point. Having never been around Grand Haven or been outside in seven years it was effectively useless information. But that was how her brain worked.
Getting moved into a medical room she awaited an exam. Scrutinizing the room she could already tell it wasn't like the place she'd just come from. Things were relatively clean and kept. Equipment was tools you needed for healing more than for experimentation. It could be used for such but wasn't it's primary purpose. Still Lydia couldn't wait to be somewhere else than on a medical bed being poked and prodded.
Presumably someone would be along for an examination and to talk. Having caught a glance of a few of the members here not all of them were human. So what exactly to expect couldn't be said. In the meantime she wandered the small space, opening, and looking at everything.
Welcome! I have a question though. Your character's name is written as Lydia and Lynda in the CS, which one is it and can you fix it so that it is the same throughout. We have a good group in here so I think you should have a good time too.
Hah, how did I manage to do that? It should be Lydia. Do enough RPs through the years and the names get scrambled I suppose.
Anyway, given the circumstances I think someone needs to talk to Lydia and determine her condition and to a minor extent her place in the group. More than likely she would end up in a medical room (by reading there appears to be more than one) to be sure she's in good health.
Her build is lean, not having much in the way of body fat or accentuating curves. Her athleticism seems to stem from her muscles near constant working to expend excess energy. Most of the time she wears her dark hair up to prevent the static from making it stand out everywhere. The tattoo on her left arm is a magic seal placed there by Dr. Weber and his associates.
Height/Weight: 5' nothing and 120lbs.
Skills/Powers: Electrokinesis - Capable of absorbing, storing, and manipulating electricity thanks to the experiments done to her. The seal on her arm binds the power of the Lightning Serpent to her and is the source of her electricity that she cannot turn off. Most of the time it make her appear as an overactive young woman with a handicap. However she is capable of outputting electricity that ranges from static to small bolts of lightning. Her ability to absorb electricity makes her keen to nearby electric fields and is acute enough to detect muscle movement with physical contact.
External uses aside perhaps the young teens greatest power lies within. She has extremely fine control of her neurological system, through which every other function of her body can be reached. Mentally she is firing on all cylinders and could potentially build a super intellect with proper training. Thanks to this she is an extremely quick study and can learn at an accelerated rate. The down side is lost focus without much in the way of filtering stimuli and sleep is a luxury. However she is adept at finding unconventional solutions to problems, even though they are not always important.
All that said she has learned a fair amount of her own capabilities thanks to Lars Weber's torturous experiments. Many of her normal functions are temporarily able to be accelerated to some degree. However her body still has to be able to do them normally so no amazing healing factor or strength. At most she'd shave off a few days of recovery, be able to lift one end of a car for a few seconds, or numb a part of her body to avoid pain. Every one of which can cause physical harm to herself one way or another. Curiously she's developed a skill for faking various ailment with surprisingly realistic symptoms.
Weapon(s)/item(s): N/A
Personality: If it were to be described it would be muted. Her experiences in the Orphanage coupled with her particular enhancement makes her emotional state somewhat dead most of the time. That is not to say she isn't expressive. Lydia has learned to fake more regular emotion fairly well. The tougher thing is staying focused. Always jumping from one thought to another means she has a tendency to speak and behave oddly when not specifically trying to act a certain way.
Bio: Of the many that were stolen or kidnapped into the Orphanage Lydia was one of the children brought in by the system at the age of nine. Her parents were casualties of the harsh living conditions on the outskirts of Grand Haven. What exactly happened to them is unknown to Lydia herself as they simply never came home but it wouldn't be a stretch to say they were murdered for one reason or another.
A fresh subject was always good news for Dr. Weber, especially one that no one would be looking for. One of many to undergo awful electrical tests in an attempt to create the next weapon. Either killed outright by the shocks or turned into vegetables Lydia somehow managed to survive. Proving to be unusually receptive to the treatments the girl became a pet project of the doctor's. What started as a resistance test quickly turned into genetic and bioorganic augmentation. Despite all appearances Lydia is hardly herself from a scientific standpoint.
Due to her more hazardous powers and less predictable behavior Lydia was isolated from the other subjects and kept in a large faraday cage. Probably would have stayed that way until she was either brainwashed, a task that proved to be difficult, or killed. But then came the day where Vendetta Inc. broke into the Orphanage and freed as many children as they could. While grateful she was more lost than anything. While arrangements were being worked out she approached Blaque and collectedly requested to be made of use for their cause.
