This is a text-based adventure in the tradition of Zork (aka Dungeon). It is about exploring an environment, acquiring and using items, fighting monsters...adventuring. There won't really be any character development, and you're not bound by alignment or anything (it's fine to just steal things and stab things and wander in through doors you find). The plot will be pretty minimal. It's mainly just about the little world.

If you get stuck, you can ask for help either in the IC or the OOC. IC help will involve me emphasizing something you may be overlooking. OOC help may be a bit of information about how the game is designed, how the map is arranged, etc.
I'm definitely getting this thing going. Let me know if you wanna get started, and when we could maybe sit down with it together.
Cool! I'm gonna do some world-building, draw up some maps etc. I have a fairly busy schedule, so consider yourself warned, but I'll try to get this off the ground in a timely fashion and once we get going maybe we can coordinate so that we can both be online and get a few turns in. It'd suck if all you got in a day was like "Look East"; "There is a field there."

What time zone are you in? I'm in EST.
Would anyone be interested in playing a text-based adventure in the style of Zork, except instead of playing with a computer it would be me narrating the environment and monsters? So you would just give commands like "Go North" or "Examine the tree" or whatever, but you'd have a bit more freedom in terms of commands because I'm a human so I can interpret it more. So instead of like "Go North. Go North. Go North." you could just say like, "Go North until the corridor ends." And there would be fewer dead ends because I can add to the world around you as you go.
I would use dice for some stuff like if something attacks you, or where items show up on the map.
My Little Pony. but no dude I'm pretty sure they mean actual horses.
I've started this project where I read from A. S. Kline's translation of Gawain to help me train my voice. Have a look if you like.
Nemuel waves at the fellow who's heading for the cab. He feels and seems bewildered by the whole interaction. "See you..."

I'm gonna drop out. sorry.
Nem is a little thrown by the abrupt invitation, but nods. "I'll uh, yeah, I'll see what I've got on. Sounds good."
Nem extended his right hand to shake. His skin is warm and dry and feels essentially like normal human skin. There can be a vague sensation of that golden glow as a tactile experience, but it might be psychosomatic. "Nemuel." After a pause he added, "your English is fine. I can't imagine my Farsi would be as good."
