Current Now that I have given up video games I should have a lot more time to RP now. I'm sure that I'm not the first person to have declared this but hopefully I won't be the last.

To all those who are awaiting a post from me I'm sorry. I have no excuses. I expect the very best from myself and frankly that kind of pressure brings about some major procrastination.

Alright, no more screwing around. I have to get started on my various projects. I can't let another week go by with nothing done. Lady France awaits and I'm not getting any younger.

I guess this is where I explain myself.

All I can say is that my existence is an endless void occasionally interrupted by passing flashes of light.
Interlaced with a little randomness here and there to, ya know, keep things interesting.

Your local antique store has just burned down. The owner has a massive closing down sale on all his remaining stock before filing for bankruptcy. Everything else was sold except this luxuriously crafted mahogany desk. Since it was the last day of the sale, and it still remainded unsold despite repeated discounts, the owner decides to give it to you for free.

You hire a trailer to take this bad boy home. As you take it up the flight of stairs to your office, you wrench your back in an awkward way. You collapse in sheer agony. Congratulations, you have a hernia.

I wish I wish I hadn't killed that fish.
"My word, could it be!?" exclaimed Lanny.

"In all my years I've only ever encountered two other cases." said Lanny both quickly and breathlessly.

"My boy, my dear boy. I think you may have it. A most wonderous gift indeed." the old man whispered loudly.

"The virtuous reflex." announced Lanny dramatically.

"Also known as the heroic gag." Lanny explained both quickly and casually.

"Perchance I may have piqued your curiosity regarding your rare condition? But still, I must remember my social graces and keep on topic." said Lanny.

"Which would you like me to explain first young squire? The circumstances of your discovery by yours truly or..." Lanny paused for dramatic effect.

"The amazing power which you possess. The virtuous reflex." Lanny said dramatically.

To Lanny, meeting a fascinating stranger was one of life's greatest pleasures. And when such a pleasure was indulged, he tended to get a little overexcited. He was quite the excitable fellow after all.
The darkness of the overhanging trees blocked the light of the full moon almost completely. Slivers of it could still be seen here and there. But mostly the road was illuminated by the motorcycles headlight alone. Such a road would've looked both ominous and spooky if traversed for the first time. To Rolo, the mountain road still possessed some of that original spookiness. It almost felt like being a vampire hunter and journeying to Draculas castle in the dead of the night. Which wasn't such an inaccurate description though, for lord fancy pants' mansion was on the way. But luckily for them, they weren't going that far.

The first hairpin turn was coming up. Like any mountain road, this one had many hairpin turns. A sane person would slow down to crawl when making such a turn, but not Rolo. Not a high ranking member of the Salt Bay Turbos. Instead, the maniac sped up a little.

"Hold on tight Corinne baby!" Rolo roared over the engine.

As the hairpin turn approached, Rolo slammed on his breaks. He motorcycle began to skid sideways. The tires made a loud screeching noise as the rubber burned. During this manoeuvre, Rolo alternated between breaking and accelerating. And thus the bike continued to skid sideways until it made the hairpin turn. A perfect drift by the master himself.

"That was awesome!" roared Rolo.

"You doing alright back there babe?" asked Rolo.

He never attempted a drift with a passenger before. But Rolo figured that Corinne was petite enough to not throw off the weight of the rider too much. Rolo decided to keep that little factoid to himself though. He didn't want Corinne to,know that he risked her life in order to impress her.
@Rhythmloid Lifestyles of the rich and the famous.

And thanks for remembering to file that little factoid away for me. Much appreciated n_n

Banned for luring those sailors into their watery graves for having them mistake you for a mermaid.
Scientists develop genetic engineering, cybernetic enhancements, and artificial intelligence to an extremely high level. So much so that for the first time in human history, humanities biological destiny is now able to be completely dictated by the will of the biological creatures in question, not nature. No longer will humans have to deal with diseases, deformities, and all kinds of biological inequality. These anhancements, of course, will also entail the ability to always think perfectly rationally, free of bias, and large emotional influence. But then it happens.

Human beings become way too similar, too generic. Over the years, people will stop developing both socially and civilly due to the societal changes brought on by the complete homogeneity of the species. Humans will eventually stop thinking like humans and more like ultra efficient machines. All of humanity would then be only concerned with three things, manufacturing, expansion, and forceful assimilation. You have created the Borg.

I wish that people would stop being pedants in order to seem smart and actually commit intelligent acts.

Fun fact #4: Charles's friends are never really described because Charles himself hardly acknowledges them. As far as he's concerned, his friends may as well be pets and fashion accessories.
The midnight ride through the streets of Sea Salt Bay was a short ride, to be sure, though it was no less fun despite that. The charming little town had many a colourful storefront and restaurant display. A holiday destination for the rich from the city primarily, the aesthetics of the streets downtown bespoke both luxury and class. At the same time, the town gave off a charming, homegrown air. From the perspective of an outsider, Sea Salt Bay seemed like the perfect place to settle down with a family. To live a quaint and traditional lifestyle. Little did they know the ugliness the beauty hid beneath. It was true beauty though, by anyones estimation. And so, for just a little while at least, Rolo and Corinne were able to forget the ugliness of the town and instead, enjoy it's beauty, on their midnight ride.

The motor of the Harley issued a distinct rumbling sound that could be heard from far away. It wasn't difficult for Charles, in his limo, to follow the love struck duo at a safe distance. Far enough away so as not to be noticed easily. Charles quickly surmised the direction in which they rode. He knew that they were going towards the mountain road. Towards the direction where the Lancaster villa was located. Such a thought intrigued Charles further.

Lo and behold, there it was. After several minutes the motorcycle headed out of town, up the paved mountain road. What in blazes was their business up there!? The only places of interest, as far as Charles knew, were his villa and an observatory. The observatory was closed to visitors after nine at night though. And Charles himself has never known a greaser to have an interest in astronomy anyway. Thus the mystery deepened.

And so it was that Rolo and Corinne left the downtown area of Sea Salt Bay and rode up the seldom traversed mountain road. Charles, the ambitious sneak that he was, followed from behind.
@Lady Selune @DepressedSovietSorry that your thing didn't take off. But it has inspired within me a new idea.

How about instead, we make the RP about a Latin American country that's ruled by a cruel dictator. The RP would be about a rebellion brewing in this country. A player could play the part of a typical peasant, rebel, loyalist, or even foreign military. You can play as a military man in this game, but you'll also be free to choose not to. The subject matter is dark yes but it can also be filled with light hearted and humourous moments. I call it Contra.
