I'll have a proper read through and get a character sorted as soon as I finish work.
Well I'm definitely interested. I've been looking for a specific type of RP to join recently and this is essentially exactly I was looking for haha
This is one of the most impressive interest checks I've seen, I'd absolutely love to be a part of this!

I'll be getting a CS up relatively soon, probably today.
I'm interested if there's still room?
I haven't been online in quite a long time, but this has definitely captured my interest and I'd love to be a part of it!
Los Diablos, 1979

The world's on the brink of a musical revolution, and the home of it? Los Diablos, a sprawling city that is home to some of the most prominent musicians in the world. In the daytime, the Moonlight Strip seems like any other strip of nightclubs - dirty, vandalized and generally unpleasant. At nighttime, however, it comes alive. All sorts of people come out, flooding the clubs and venues with the sole intention of wasting the night away in an frenzy of sex, drugs, and rock n' roll.

Above the crowds, however, are the bands. They strut around the strip as if they're the king's of the world - and judging by the reactions they often get, you'd probably think they were. Almost anyone can achieve fame in los Diablos, as long as they have the right combination of musical talent, ferocious looks, and rockstar personalities. The question is, do you have what it takes to make it to the top?

OOC Stuff

Alright, so I've done the bare minimum of scene-setting above, onto the details. Basically, we'll be roleplaying a relatively new band (probably a couple of months to a year old, to get the ball rolling) making their way up the musical ladder in the fictional city of Los Diablos. It's pretty much an alternate version of LA in the 70s/80s, right down my blatant theft of the Sunset Strip (the Moonlight Strip, I am not at all subtle with renaming things.)

I'm looking for a smallish group, probably 3 or 4 other people, excluding myself. I'll be playing the bassist, so that leaves room for vocals, drums, and guitars. However, if anybody for any reason really wants to vbe the bassist, I'll move aside for them.

So, anybody interested?

Jared's obviously blind and doesn't understand what a wheelchair is.

Jared was pissed. He was also quite content with that, having a silent vent against the wall with nobody disturbing him. Of course, it didn't last for long as he heard someone speak behind him. He turned around to see an obviously athletic teenager, offering to teach him some fighting techniques.
"I mean, yeah man!" Jared said enthusiastically. "I reckon I've got some in-zone training lined up with that Miriam chick - as soon as I get around to asking her - but you obviously look like you know what you're talking about." He grasped the guys shoulder briefly in a offer of friendship.
"Just let me know whenever you want to get down to anything, it's not like there's much else to do around here." He laughed and moved away slightly. "Yeah, I'll catch you later man, thanks again for your offer - you're literally a lifesaver."

He moved a couple of steps away, scanning the room for anyone that looked like they might have cancer. He was interrupted again, however.
"Hi... Are you the guy that was with us in the Zone? I'm the bird woman, if you remember me..."
She seemed almost uncomfortable talking to him, but she was definitely recognizable. He would have noticed her as the bird woman even if she hadn't said anything, though he did think to himself that she looked a hell of a lot more attractive in real life without any of the feathers.
"Yeah." He said, extending his hand. "If you mean Twinkle, that's me. Not my real name obviously, but it'll do for now." He grinned apologetically. "No offence intended, I just... I don't know. Guess I just don't really want to get too attached to anyone, if there's a chance we're all going to die here."
He scanned the room again quickly, not spotting anyone with obvious signs of cancer.
"Hey," He said abruptly. "You wouldn't happen to have seen anyone who looked, like, really ill around here by any chance?"
@SepticGentleman

Jared grunted as the gun was pressed into his limp hand. He was still conscious, but only barely. He watched as Bobby and Jazz went toe-to-toe with the minigun-toting aggressor; his vision was blurring and distorted, but he was fighting the urge to lose consciousness with everything he had. Lifting his hand by about an inch, he squeezed the trigger of the gun, letting out a couple of shots that went absolutely nowhere near their intended target. He tried to lift his hand again for another shot, but it felt heavier. He watched in horror as his arm seemingly began to fade out of reality, before everything went black.

He awoke with a gasp, thrashing violently in the Nexus chair. He flung himself onto the floor, attempting to hold himself up but failing - ending up lying face down on the clinical tile. He simply lay there for a few minutes - retching - before pulling himself to his feet, grasping onto the chair for support. Looking up, he saw that he wasn't the first to have been ejected. There were 3 other Zoners, but more importantly he saw Eli manning the console. He stumbled angrily towards him, weakly grabbing his shoulder for emphasis.

"What the fuck was that about!" He attempted to shout, but instead it came out as a hoarse croak. "You send us out there with absolutely no training and expect us to just fight off a bunch of mutants as if it's nothing?!" He fell against the wall as another wave of dizziness swept over him.
"To hell with this, I want out." He said with as much conviction as he could muster.
