What's the time ratio between the orphanage and the other side of the forbidden door expected to be? Is what's on the other side of the forbidden door a mystery to be sorted out, a world to explore, or a surprise twist?
Immunisation is good. It's damn good. But vaccinating infants (fun fact: Infants are in the 'alpha incomplete seriously the game isn't even playable yet' stage of development) does cause problems. So vaccinate your kids, when they're kids or older, not when they're infants.
I have an RP idea that I won't post simply because it doesn't seem like it would click with this community.
I come from a HL2RP background, so all RP ideas I have keep combat to a fourth priority, below atmosphere, context and environment.
But here, it feels like combat is second priority below context and above environment and atmosphere.
I think I just need to get comfortable with this style of RP.
I'd say that the definition of a Mary Sue is a character who never experiences internal struggle in the events of the narrative or can never experience internal struggle in the events of any narrative. Would you agree? Or would you say this is derailing a perfectly sufficient thread?
Insert mandatory joke about the plot possibly referring to the body part here.

By the way, I'm not going to actually join this RP thread, I'm just lurking around, getting comfortable with the site.
A game having a good story is different to a game having a fertile landscape for role-play.
The actual story of Shadow of the Colossus seemed very self-contained and very limited, but you could replace the single main character with a group and the main goal with something else, and it could work. It's just unlikely to tread unexplored territory in the context of the game is all.
Still, might be engaging.
Lose* Lossed*
Anyway, it sounds alright. It's a bit vague, and without a source material that people can look to, there may need to be quite a bit of explanation further down the road, but it's certainly got some bite.
I tend to judge what RP section it belongs in by the difficulty of the concept, the potential of the concept, and the purpose of the concept.
Low difficulty concepts can be played safe, high difficulty concepts require a lot of risk-taking and the skill to do it properly.
Low potential concepts can go as far as simple fun, high potential concepts could become literary genius in the hands of great writers.
However, if the purpose of the concept was to be Free, Casual, or Advanced, then by all means, go with it.
I'd put this in Casual, personally.
We can already guess which champion you're picking.
I do play League of Legends, but I personally don't think the world of Runeterra is a desirable role-playing landscape, and I disagree with role-playing canon characters with firm established personalities written by professional writers, especially when certain events will inevitably happen in the role-play by result of pre-set character lore.
However, this is League of Legends we're talking about, and while there is so much lore in place to establish characters and such, the lore gives us events, not details, leaving it open to plenty of interesting tangents, and it wouldn't take an advanced RPer to improve on the personality of most League of Legends characters.
Which is why I reckon putting it at Casual. Not an easy concept to use, but certainly not a hard concept to get some entertainment out of.
Definitely sounds like a potent 'Apocalypse is coming and/or happening now' RP set-up that I would be happy to join if I weren't new to this site. There are only a couple of problems I have with it, however:
1. Surely there would be technology that survives the atmospheric roasting? And for that matter, shouldn't technology 4,000,000,000 years in the future be capable of so much more than the technology we have now to the point where it can protect a whole planet from over-heating? It took us less than a tenth of a millionth of the time above to go from discovering electricity to space exploration. However, the plot point of all the technology degenerating could be used to greater effect if this is taken into consideration, and even if this isn't addressed, I would still be interested in how this whole situation plays out.
2. The title. Technically it's grammatically correct, but it's just a minor gripe of mine.
Apologies if this sounds too harsh, I'm still getting the hang of the tone around here, and I come from communities in which the above content is considered to be ideal.
I support this notion, and I am interested in what direction this may be taken in, but I'm not going to join it.
It does seem interesting, this experimentation with the characters when the story grinds to a halt, and the characters are left staring at each other during a moment of bog-standard character conflict, but I myself would have writers block trying to push forward with this set-up.
Nevertheless, have fun with that.
