Jack's silver eyes were closed for a moment as he thought, and he rocked the small black haired child back and forth. He opened his eyes, looking down and hiding the liquid pride.

He held the child surprisingly correctly, supporting the head. He smiled and turned to Evelyn. "You did this. You created life." He subtly ignored the fact that Maxwell was the biological father.

Kire followed short behind with a happy look on her face. The part in her hair was oddly different and showed her one golden eye. "Indeed, Evelyn. I wanted to get here sooner, but when I heard, I was helping with another birth, still. Congrats!"

Jackknife had excused himself shortly thereafter. "Who's gonna be the adoptive father?" he asked absolutely no one. "I'm sure we all know who the biological one is." He stood up from the chair in the waiting room and went to her hospital room. He knocked on the door. "I might not be allowed inside by Simon, but would someone like me to call Maxwell...?"

Jack was, of course, there holding her hand for the entirety, on the opposite side of the bed as Alex. "It'll all be worth it in the end..." he whispered, not directly, to Evelyn. He was shaking slightly, because blood was obviously seen. He did pretty well with it, to be honest.

"OKAY OKAY!!" he answered, panicked. He'd snapped. He turned and drove as quickly as possible without getting pulled over.
