Jackknife's eyes flickered towards Evelyn, and back to Jack, a look of anger and fear subtle. I knew she was a monster... This time literally.

With a sudden half-snore-half-cough, Jackknife woke up coughing and wheezing. He cleared his throat and shot up, propping up on his elbows. "Some dream..."
