Send me a PM; if we can't figure something out I'd be happy to help you figure out a secondary deck

EDIT: Even better, do you have a Skype?
That post looked longer when I was typing it down :\
~Blackhawk~

"If you refuse to let her live, it seems that I'll be fighting you and that freak of a soldier."

"I'm pretty sure you're the freaks here," Blackhawk retorted, greatly offended at being called a freak herself. Her job was to dispose of freaks, so naturally, being dubbed one didn't sit well with the woman. And hey, what do you know, instead of having to go out and find one, two freaks wound up coming to her because she'd just been making an attempt on a third one. Talk about a good deal!

The boy leapt up, above Blackhawk. His target must have been the girl. Golden opportunity. Taking a few quick steps back for good measure, Blackhawk took a moment to holster her pistol. A free-for-all between her and two freaks wasn't exactly the most favorable battle, so she'd have to put herself on even ground. Blackhawk's now-empty right hand made a move for the pouch on her leg, keeping her left hand tight on her machete. She'd need her juice for this fight.
~Phalanx~

Phalanx recoiled back with the force of King's push. King was stronger and faster; this fight was proving that. From the start, she'd barely had time to react to the moves King was making. It was obvious that once this was over, she'd have to retrain herself and her men from the ground up.

For now, it was the best she could do to keep her shield up as best she could. There was always the possibility that she could just stall the fight until King had tired out, but Phalanx was well aware that odds were her own energy would run out before her foe's.
~Necrohead~

With a audible bumping noise, Necrohead slammed her head into Burnout's. Then took a few steps back, just in case. She gave him a moment to finally collapse, but...this guy still refused to go down? And here Necrohead thought she was tough; this guy had to have been wearing some kind of super armor.
Krein said Now's my time? Coolness, I'll see about working up a character that could fit nicely into the scheme of things around here. Could anyone give me a quick recap of what's happened so that I can know where to jump in?

Akio dueled Riley and Akio won
Michelle dueled Aislin and Michelle won
Anna dueled Xi and Xi won
Kim dueled Press and Press all but wiped Kim off the fuckin' map
Akio and Michelle are about to duel

Don't use lswarms again. I've got a plan for an lswarm user...who knows; maybe you could take that person when the time comes.
I was formerly an advocate of thread RPs exclusively, but at present I'm in three 1x1 RPs, all of which are via PM. At least here on newguild, the PM layout is very simple so it feels almost like posting in a thread. You can also get away with lots of things in PMs that you can't do in a thread, since nobody is reading.

But if your intent is to put on a good show for others, then definitely go thread. It really depends on your intent with the RP in question.
Lots of undead
Flamelord said Also, I just noticed, but in UnendingEmpire's last post, apparently 'We've girls the got?" Not sure if that was intentional or not.

UnendingEmpire said Ever-curious and always eager to learn something, Kaede is a girl who sees everything as another learning experience. Her naivety and politeness never seem to reach an end, and unfortunately, her desire to tinker with things she probably shouldn't tinker with is just as bottomless. She'll probably get words in her sentences jumbled up to varying degrees; sometimes it'll just be a small slip of the tongue, and other times it'll take an expert on the girl just to decipher what she's saying. She's also prone to forgetting names, and so labels most people with simple nicknames.

You also missed in the previous post when Kaede said "We're where going, again?" :P
Kim stepped up on stage. This was it; her chance to finally duel instead of just sitting back commenting on who won and who lost. Knowing her rotten luck, she'd probably just lose, but that didn't mean she was about to just surrending from the get-go because of a supposed family curse or something stupid like that. No; Kim was determined to win. Even if she kind of doubted it possible.

"Good luck," Kim said, facing her opponent who stood across the stage from her.

Press said nothing, but instead adjusted his glasses slightly while still focusing on his opponent.

"Let's see...the computer decided Kim will go first," Aislin's voice said over the speakers. "D...DUEL!"

Here goes nothing. Kim drew her five cards...and looked in utter disbelief. One monster. Two spells. Two traps. Only the monster being playable at present. Well, nothing else to do then. "I set one monster face down, and end my turn!"

Press had drawn his five cards, and now drew his next card. Ancient Gear Golem. His hand couldn't be any better. He could OTK her right now. "I play the Spell Card: Power Bond. By using my Ancient Gear Golem, Ancient Gear Beast, and Ancient Gear Soldier, I can Summon my Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem." The three fusion materials he had called out appeared on the field, only to fade away and have a giant centaur-like monster take their place, its attack registering as 4400.

"Due to the effect of Power Bond, my Golem's attack is doubled," Press explained as its 4400 rose up to 8800. "Furthermore, I activate the Spell Card: Limiter Removal. This doubles my Golem's attack again." Golem's attack then rose all the way up to 17600. Press adjusted his glasses again, then explained, "When Golem attacks a monster in defense position, it can deal piercing battle damage." Press sighed, then commanded, "Battle Phase. Golem, attack her face-down monster." Golem roared as it drew back its fist and launched it directly at her face-down monster.

No way! Could a monster's ATK even go that high? Well, not like her face-down would see any use now; the moment the fist connected with the card on the field, it all but exploded as a big -8000 appeared overhead. Talk about bad luck.

"W-Wow, that was fast! The winner is Press Dalton," Aislin's voice chimed from above. "And the next duel is between...Akio Muzuki-Frankline and Michelle Kine?"
Guess I'd better get back up there, Kim noted, as she turned and stepped off stage.

The audience exploded in chatter, mostly about how high Golem's attack had been and how merciless Press was even against the President. Press took no notice of the audience, instead leaving the stage as if nothing happened.
Right on. So we now have a co-GM, ladies and gentlemen, and another IC post should be coming in soon.

Skipper, Roxas Scar, prepare thineselves.
I hate double-posting

That aside, a bit of a status update from your GM. I won't be able to actively post in the IC here any longer; I've got too many other RPs that I also don't post in running alongside making a full-on RPG of my own (skipper can confirm) that I'm finally excited for again after months of development hiatus (I've even started writing music again). And forgive me if I sound like I'm bashing this RP at all (because honestly, this RP kicks ass, and I hope it continues to do so), but if I had to pick between my RPG and this, the RPG wins by a landslide. So, as a result, I won't be active in the IC until further notice, beyond posting once in a while to move the story in the direction of the plot, or for some divine intervention stuff. However, that does not mean I'm closing this RP. Quite the contrary.

Rather, what I aim to do right now is expand on the RP's management by appointing one or two people here as co-GMs, as well as bringing a couple more players (Krein, now's your time) to fill in the shoes of Xi and Kim until the tournament ends, after which point we'll toss them and Aislin into Plot-Hole-Land. I already believe that I could make ideal co-GMs from among the three of you who are currently on the roster, but I won't force anyone to take a position they don't want. Before anyone volunteers, I'd also like to explain the things I'd like/expect from a co-GM.

~ Will know which direction I plan to move the plot; I'll keep you updated on that as we move along.
~ Able to competently craft, accept, or decline a character.
~ Not the sort to quit on an RP.
~ Takes the part of my voice IC when I can't post/the situation isn't major enough for me to step in.

If you think you're willing and able to do all four of those things, odds are the job's yours. Two co-GMs would be ideal, but just one should definitely suffice. I'd rather not have this RP die just because I'm finally getting back into game development, so this is my answer to that potential death scenario.
